The means that iTunes can no longer locate the songs (mp3/m4a) on the hard-drive and as such they won't even play in iTunes, let alone transfer to your iPod.
Have you recently re-organised your music folders? If you know where these songs are on your hard-drive then you could clear all of the tracks that display the symbol from iTunes and then add them again from their location either through the 'add folders to library' function or by dragging and dropping them diectly into iTunes from Windows Explorer.

Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

The application called VirusScan that comes preloaded on the macbook will no longer open, claiming that it is corrupt and that I must reinstall it. After looking in the app store it does not appear that said application is available for re-downloading. Is there a special, non-app store place where I am to go for this?
Also, I installed MacKeeper about two-three months ago and am questioning its performance. Looking for input as to whether or not this application helps or hinders my system.I'll back up Csound on the MacKeeper thing. In fact, I actually wrote the following about it:

As for VirusScan, Barney is right on the money that it does not come preinstalled on any Mac shipped new from Apple. However you have gotten it, your best bet is removing it. You've checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases -
Where can I buy a larger hard drive for my late 2008, 15" macbook pro? From reviewing questions and answers on the support community it would appear that having Apple remove the old and install the new hard drive is recommended. But how/where?

You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance -
When I pull the notification screen down after about 5 seconds the screen goes black and then the apple appears for about 30 seconds and then returns to the home screen, this is an iPhone 4 running ios7 , any ideas??

I assume you already plugged it into iTunes and tried to restore it? When it is in Recovery mode, the only thing you can do is restore it. You want to make sure that you back the iPad up on a regular basis. -
After upgrading to Mavericks on my MacBook, I'm not able to download third party applications like Dropbox and MyCleanMac 2. After clicking the download button, the screen just turns dark and is frozen. Any idea what is happening?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

How do i get so that my app store will let me download the apps i want?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

I have recently purchased a tv series off iTunes and for some reason my iMac won't let me download it to my computer. It aways comes up with the error message
'You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 17 days'
The only problem is I haven't changed my Apple ID on the computer and I purchased the items with my Apple ID that is associated with this computer. I had changed my password recently so I was wondering if this could cause the problem? Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any ideas on how to fix it?

I'm trying to get itunes up and running on new computer. I have lots of music I've purchased from Itunes...and they show in my account. But only some of them have the cloud next to them. The rest say "downloaded" and it won't let me download them again.
I believe that all audiobooks are supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time only download. if you cant download them > email the iTunes Store emaill support adn explian the situation adn they will give you a regrant of all your purchases.

but you should try the pas purchase thing in iTunes first because the regrant is a one time thing. > IE iTunes Store > purchases > click what you want > redownload

After Update Bluetooth is not available - any ideas?

After running the update I lost all my menu icons as did a few others by the sounds of it. Fortunately I was able to re-enable them all manually.
I forgot about bluetooth though as I wasn't using it at the time. I've since re-started my powerbook, and the bluetooth icon is back, but marked unavailable. The preference pane is missing from System Prefs, and if I try and run it directly it just opens System Prefs so clearly it is missing.
If I try and run Bluetooth File Exchange I get an error message saying "No Bluetooth Hardware Found" - but there is because I use it quite often!
Any ideas about where the pref pane has gone or how to get it to work again much appreciated.

Where are you resetting the password? On your computer, I assume since you cannot use the iPad?
Have you tried a reset to see if the popup will disappear?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button -
Why won't my Intel iMac boot up, either from the internal hard drive or the DVD drive? It just displays a light grey screen, without any other icons, etc. The fact that it won't boot from the original system DVD is what baffles me the most. Any ideas? It uses the latest version of Mavericks. Thanks!
If the C key for Install Disc or R Command for OS X Recovery startup commands are not working, try holding the Option key for the Startup Manager.

If that does not work and you using a wireless keyboard, it may have become unpaired and you need to dig up a USB keyboard to invoke the startup commands.
