I've noticed that the 3G symbol isn't there after I've made a call, it's the letter 'E', and also when I've been browsing it changes to a 'dot'. Can anyone please tell me what that means!

3G is 3G, E is Edge (slower data network) and the dot is GPRS (the slowest data connection).

Try to position your iphone that the screen is facing away from your skin.

IPhone music playback breaks after making a call - Motorokr t505

Hi,
My Motorokr t505 works great with the iPhone for making calls and music playback.
This all works well with voice control.
Except, there's a bug in the iPhone.
If I am playing music, then make a phone call by pressing the Motorokr phone button, after the call is complete, the music playback does not resume reliably.
Sometimes, it seems to be going fast and playing fractions of a second of music. Other times, it just doesn't seem to be doing anything.
The solution is to switch off the Motorokr and start playing music again.
Note, that if I receive a call while playing music, the whole system works perfectly - the music resumes correctly after the call has finished.
Any feedback? How do I tell Apple so they can work on this problem for the next firmware release.

It sounds like the proximity sensor is acting up. To test it, make a phone call and use your hand to cover the top 1"-1 1/2" of the screen (where the sensor is located). The screen should blank out, if it doesn't, you need to make an appointment with an Apple Store or call Apple to get it repaired/replaced. If it does blank, check how you are holding the phone to your ear, you may not be holding it in a way that the sensor can tell it's at your ear.

Skype 7.2 crashes after making a call

Hello,
Today i installed windows 8.1 and i've encountered a problem with skype.
Anytime i try to call somebody skype just stops responding. I've seen people had similar problems and tried things like:
1) Reinstalled skype, deleted skype folder from roaming.
2) Activated .NET framework version 3.5 in my windows features. Still no result.
3) I checked that there would be no compability with older versions of windows
Above things did not help me.

IPhone 5 screen wont turn back on after making a call.

When I put my phone to my ear, the screen turns black, like it should, but once I'm done, it wont turn back on... It does the same thing with siri. I active the raise to speak option and the screen turns black when I do it. I then have to press the sleep button two times to get to my lock screen. Is this an hardware or a software problem? If it is software, can an upcoming update fix it?

I don't beleive this is a known problem and you should probably bring your phone to a local Genius Bar (make an appointment here) as this is likely a hardware issue (a problem with your phone realizing that you removed it from your ear).
If you're willing to tinker with it a bit, you can determine if this is a software issue by backing up your iPhone (separately ensure your photos, videos and music is backed up) and then "Restore" your phone. If the restoration solves the problem, you're dealing with a software issue. If the problem still exists, you're almost definitely dealing with a hardware issue.

Where are you and where did you get the phone. This sounds like a classic symptom of someone who bought an iPhone that originated in the U.S. which was then hacked so it would run on a carrier network other than AT&T... Then, when updating the phone, it becare re-locked to AT&T.
If that's what happened, you now own a paperweight. AT&T will NOT unlock them for any reason.
If this isn't the case, please clarify where you are, what carrier you have and where you got the phone so we can begin troubleshooting.

Playing a WAVE file after making a phone call.

I'm trying to play a wav file after making a phone call. I was able to make the call. But I get an exception when i try to paly a wav file..

Making phone calls, Skype hangs up after an hour?

So I live in Canada. And I'm making skype calles to a land line in the usa. In the past after 4 hours skype would hang up by it self. No big deal. 4 hours is quite the while.
But today. My skype calles last only an hour then they hang up automaticly. Did somethign change? Can i fix this somehow?

I highly doubt the issue would be with every number you call. I've received similar limitations when calling foreign numbers with or without Skype. The limitation can be imposed by the country, the telcom/leased line. There really isn't anything that can be done about it and it could change at any time.
You could try to report a particular number to Skype Customer Service to see if they could provide any additional information.
