After many discussions with Apple Support, I still have the problem of the screen switching back to the desktop. It does not close the window just minimizes the window. What do I do? Help!?!

I have contacted Apple Support Several times. Has anyone else had the issue of their computer switching them back to the desktop without completely closing out the program or internet they are on? I cannot get it to stop. Help?

I'm running Mavericks, which is a little different than what you're running, but I think I have a lead for you. First, read this:

Disconnect the iPad, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!, reconnect and follow the prompts.

How is the C6200 connected to the iMac, is it via USB or Wi-Fi? If it's via Wi-Fi please make sure it's connected to the router using the printer's Network Wizard. Then click System Preferences - Print & Scan and assuming the iMac is on the same network as the printer, if it is the printer should be seen. If it's not then click the + sign and add the printer. I have an "old" Apple ID set up 13 years ago. Apple has now gone to using email address as the apple ID. I have apps to update and they ask for old ID. it does not exist. How can I get the ID on the app changed to the new apple ID

I set up an apple id many years ago when itunes was established. Within the past year or so, Apple has changed to using email address as user id. My problem is that I have many applications that I can not update due to the fact that it is asking for the password of the old ID. It does not exist anymore. Any ideas on how to get the new apple id associated with the application without deleting the application. Several of these apps I purchased.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Is there an easy way to copy a cd or a dvd? Spent 2 hours with Apple Support and they have no idea. I have the apple ext drive. I am unfamiliar with the iMac (first time owning a mac) and it was so simple on a pc.

On a PC I would just open Roxio and copy disc....so simple.

Why did you delete your profile? Also how? Did you use the profile manager or did you delete from the windows file structure?
It sounds like something during the profile delete has stopped Firefox from starting up. Please see the this article and follow the steps:

Do you have 2-step verification on for your Apple ID? I may have a solution.
When I upgraded to Yosemite and subsequently updated my Apple ID, I would get errors when I tried to sign into iMessage and FaceTime using my apple ID (and my new password), I similarly was not able to sign in. On FaceTime, I would get errors like "unable to sign in at this time" or some times just nothing at all (the spinning 'processing' graphic would grind away until it presumably just timed out).
Turns out that I enabled 2-step notification on for my Apple ID (totally forgot about it, I set it up a couple years ago), and apparently the regular Apple ID password that you choose is not usable when you try to log in to iMessage or FaceTime through the programs themselves (intuitively, this makes sense since these programs do not have a way to prompt you for the "2nd step" code).
To solve, you have to log in to your Apple ID online (appleid.apple.com or whatever), and look for the option to "Generate App-Specific Passwords". These are unique, random passwords which are made to work around issues like these since they can be used in iMessage or FaceTime or what not. This is the same idea as to what you have to do to log into gmail on your iPhone if you have Google 2-step verification on.
This solved my issue (after lots of swearing and hair pulling!). Would have been nice if a I got some sort of warning when updating my Apple ID password that "Hey, you have 2-step enabled. Go make some app-specific passwords or you will lose 5 hours of your life trying to solve this mystery"

hello all first of all please accept my apologies for my bad english language .I'm an American who lived outside of America since childhood. i hope you understand me . i am one of the apple fans that many times i contact with apple support team for solving my itunes problems, some of supports were great But on other side there are many employee in the apple company that they just give us some PREPARED answers without thinking about what i ask them !

i bought 3 iTunes code and i want to know the date and time of redeeming, this issue happened to me manytimes in the past and each time apple support answered me with the time of redeeming of the code.
but some times some persons in apple support they don't help me and they don't give me date and time of redeeming ! and they just give me some prepaid and Irrelevant answers.

So, about a week ago my macbook pro started having lots of issues: wifi connectivity, slow performance, sound issues, spotlight wasn't working. After going through the issues with apple support, they decided the best course of action was to erase it...

So, about a week ago my macbook pro started having lots of issues: wifi connectivity, slow performance, sound issues, spotlight wasn't working. After going through the issues with apple support, they decided the best course of action was to erase the hard drive and do a reinstall. Since I have a recent backup this seemed like a good enough option. They were kind enough to send me a copy of the snow leopard disk to do the install since we couldn't get it to complete through the disk utility. Not sure why, since it says we are fully connected, it just never completed.
Anyway, so now that you have the background here is the new issue. The macbook pro keeps spitting out the disk I'm trying to install from. Disk utility and using the 'Startup Disk' function from the apple menu doesn't read the disk.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this vexing problem?
