After Maverick Install, how do I get windows from randomly locking to the upper left of the screen?

This has only began to pop up since installing Mavericks. Seemingly at random, windows (Finder, Safari, etc) will lock their positions to the upper left of the screen. What's worse is that it is always half on the screen and half off. There is no title bar to move the window, but I can still three-finger move it from another area of window. Unfortunately, when I place the window where I want it to be, it immediately snaps back to its original screwed up position.
Any insights?

I found if you adjust the refresh rate (in display settings) then back again it stopps snapping.
Do you all have an AOC monitor connected by HDMI?

Every now and then, a weird white box with a keyhole, gear, and lock pops up in the upper left of my screen. I can't seem to close it or move it, and when I try to use another application, it stays there and blocks features. The only way I've found to make it go away is by force closing Firefox.Why does it pop up and how do I close it? I'm on an iMac, Snow Leopard. Have the latest version of Firefox, 10.0.2.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I managed to boot the computer and get the desktop to show. I now have a "repaired" computer. There are several problems that have cropped up. One is that I can only start up now in Safe Boot mode. Is there a way to turn it off? Also, I do not have a sound list, so I can't access anything requiring audio. Google Chrome only shows up as a white screen. Pictures that loaded before don't load in browsers, etc. Any suggestions? I figure I should reinstall Mac OS Lion for starts, maybe even do a mirror backup and reformat the drive. I think this drive has turned into scrambled eggs...what a headache!

How do I get rid of yahoo toolbar and get back my orange firefox button in the upper left corner of screen so I can use my stuff again?

Yahoo toolbar suddenly imposed itself as my log on screen whenever I booted up my computer and clicked on Firefox. Now I can't get to my bookmarks even though it told me that if I activated the new bookmark system it would transfer my old ones. It didn't happen. The toolbar has no bar for typing in a www.http address. I cannot use it and don't want it. I am using Explorer just so I can access my bookmark address, but don't like Explorer. I want my old Firefox screen back that has the little orange button in the upper left corner of the screen. How can I get there? My computer use has been highly curtailed by this unrequested invasion!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11. 
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

Desktop display randomly getting smaller and moving to the upper left of the screen.

Hi all.
I am hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I've been expierencing. I have scoured the web and have been unable to find much, if anything, in way of solutions.
All little difficult to describe, but I will include a pic as well as a visual.
We are using some Q180's as media players for digital signage. For the most part they have all been working fine except for 2. Randomaly, the signage presentation will re-size itself and move into the upper left corner. This happens randomly and not at the same times each day. They are hooked up to a LED tv via HDMI. I have tried switiching the HDMI cables, ensuring all drivers are current and tried most all the basic troubleshooting.
A simple re-start will get everything back looking and running fine. Again, this is a digital signage application so we cannot tell if this has occured until the client calls to let us know which is not good for us.
I do apologize if this is not too clear of a description. Please refer to the image for a visual. Also, please feel free to ask me any questions you think may help you.

Verizon Media Manager won't install - How do I get photos from my phone memory to my PC?

I'm getting frustrated with my new Droid, HTC Incredible. The salesman said I could just plug in the USB and transfer my photos to and from my computer, that the phone would look just like an external hard drive. False...
I plug in the USB and get an option to open the folders or to install drivers. If I chose to open the folders, I see three external drives - one with an autorun.inf file and a few other files. If I click on the other two drives, I get a message telling me to install a disk in the drive.
If I click, "Install Drivers" I am taken to the VerizonWireless website and instructed to install Verizon Media Manager. Okay, so I try to do that, on my Windows 64 bit OS, and get a message that says,
"This Application does not support 64 bit operating systems - operation aborted" (or something like that).
So now what?

Try using these steps below:
Windows 7
Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
Windows Vista
Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (System and Maintenance) > Device Manager.
If prompted, click Continue.
Windows 2000 / XP
Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (Performance and Maintenance) > System > Hardware > Device Manager.
The following devices are normally installed:
Anrdoid USB Devices
My HTC
Disk drives
HTC Android Phone USB Device
Modems
HTC Modem (if using as a tethered modem)
Portable Devices
E:/ (Where E represents the assigned drive letter.)
Universal Serial Bus controllers

If a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displayed to the left of a listed device, a conflict is present and the drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Driver conflicts may also be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown.
1. If using the HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 as a Sync device continue to step 3. If using the HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 as a Modem ensure the device drivers are installed.
2. If VZAccess Manager is installed and a driver conflict is still present, continue to step 3. Right-click the device then click Update Driver Software.
3. If using Windows 2000 / XP, right-click the device then click Update Driver.
The device name may differ from the example shown.
4. Click Browse my computer for driver software.

You can then sync the device with the PC.
Connect the device to the computer with the USB cable. From the home screen, pull down the window shade (located at the top of the screen).
Touch Disk drive then touch Done.
From File Explorer / Finder on the computer, create a new music folder in Removable Disk (X.
Removable Disk (X represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
Use the computer to copy pictures into the newly created folder.
From the home screen, pull down the window shade (located at the top of the screen).
Touch Charge only then touch Done.
Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

When I have a youtube video up and switch to a different window or program the video box shows up at the upper left of the screen and it does not go away. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I also have it - I updated Firefox and Flash both today.
When a YouTube is running and you cover all of the image with another page, a copy of the flash output appears at the top left corner of the screen, on top of anything there, and persists as long as the video is covered.
The only way to get rid of it is stop the video and wipe another window over the flash ghost.
I'd guess somebody isn't telling flash to stop updating when covered, and it writes to 0,0 instead.
Might be in flash, or might be in Firefox.

How do I get songs from itunes match on my ipod classic if the songs are no longer on my hard drive?

I synced my I tunes to Match a few weeks ago, and I then deleted the music from my hard drive. I just bought an ipod classic 160g and I cant get it to sync from my library now, even though all the songs and playlists showup on my computer sitll (and play) from match. I have the hardrive space to download the 150gigs of songs, but I'm not sure if thats whats need, or even how to get everyting back on my computer now so that I can sync it.

The actual files must be on the computer HDD to be synced to an iPod Classic. Syncing of that model of iPod will not work if the files are not there.
If you are going to re-add the files back to your library the best way to do it is to restore from the backup you made before you deleted all the song files.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

Printing on Firefox is not working properly. prints only on the upper left of the page going through the printer! How to fix this???

printing should come out on the entire page I am trying to print on but it is not. What should be printed on one page is broken into four or five pieces and printed on multiple pages, wasting paper and the font is really small. No idea how to fix this or any formatting problem in MOZILLA.

Right above the Menu tool bar, (File,Edit,View, History,etc.), in the upper left hand corner is the Firefox logo followed by text..as I'm typing this, it reads "Ask a Question|Mozilla Support-
Mozilla Firefox". Since I already use the Navigation tool bar, find this information redundant and most important want to regain some real estate on my small screen by removing it if possible. Thanks.

Why can't I get the tools in the upper left of the Organizer Screen...Elements 9?

Perhaps the page is too large and the tools are above my screen. I can't access them, can't "Import" any of my pictures. I've been in "Edit" and done work there.
But this is the first time I've tried to use the Organizer.

I suspect it may have something to do with your monitor settings. Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% to 149% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t. Sometimes the mouse or tool cursors are distorted.
Try a setting of 115% to 120% otherwise use 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops, and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality. If your height resolution is out of the range 768 to 800 try experimenting with the slider/settings.

sounds like you are in full screen mode for that app. you will not see the red yellow grn.
exit full screen Upper right corner, click the double arrows
or in the drop down menu>View exit full screen
