When I open Firefox and go to a site and then close to go to another site it will not let me open the site. a message tells me Firefox is already running and have to close previous site or restart my computer. Only way to continue is to restart computer
Also have 500 Internal Server Error

To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.

Spry Accordion - Tabs open and then close after page loads

I am using a Spry Accordion menu driven from a database.
The menu opens up during the page load and then closes.
I'm using SpryAccordion.js 1.6.1
And to open a preset tab, I'm using:

But, all of the tabs open and then close on page load.

Well to both thanks. Actually I wasn't disappointed as I had a two part question...
I tested the 1.6 JS and remembered that I had to modify the 1.4 so that tabs actually would link. So I reverted back to 1.4.
So, going to 1.6 fixed the open panel on load but "unfixed" the panel tab from linking.....
So changing this in the 1.6 js fixed the link issue as well:

Adobe XI opens and then closes after several seconds...

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat XI a few weeks ago and all was going fine (previously was using Adobe 7 Professional). Suddenly yesterday, whenever I open a PDF, it opens for several seconds. I can edit, move around, etc, but then the program suddenly closes on me!!
I've tried all the "fixes" that you can search for on here.
I tried to uninstall it and go back to Adobe 7, but I now get this message whenever I exit: The application is being terminated because of memory corruption.

I am having to run v3.5.10 because even now with latest 3.6 that version - every 30 seconds or so I hear a process open and then close. Can't track it down even in task manager - too brief but it's insistent! So stuck having to use 3.5

I have to use V3.5.10 despite wanting to run 3.6 (just updated to 3.6.6 too). However when I run 3.6 I hear thru my sounds set up a process open briefly and then close every 30 seconds or so - it's very regular and insistent and I'd like to know what it is and why. It's too brief to spot in Task manager processes listing. This did happen once under 3.5 I seem to recall but was cured when it upgraded.

When I try to open Adobe Reader, it just opens a gray page and then closes by itself. This also applies to any pdf files I try to access; they'd all follow the same pattern: Gray page-->automatically closes after 2 to 3 seconds time. I have tried accessing the Eula.exe via C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, however, the only available button for me to click is the "Decline" button and not the "Accept" license agreement. Please help!

Downloaded Apps open and then close immediately

The downloaded apps, not the apps that came with the phone, close immediately after i open them. i have reseted it multiple times and it doesnt work. HELP!!

I too have just experienced this, I suspect because I hooked my iphone up to a friends laptop when visiting on holiday (in Canada) and thought that rather than opening a new topic, I'd add on the end of this one...
I have tried all suggestions found on Google (a restore, de-authorising my laptop and re-authorising with the itunes store, not syncing apps, downloading a new app (on the iphone and on my laptop) and then re-syncing and none of this has worked.
Interestingly, if I download a brand new app via my laptop and sync it to my iphone, it works but all of my old apps restored from the backup open and then close within 2 seconds.
Can anyone help?

First try to reset your device by holding the home and power button for about 30 seconds until you see a silver apple, after that let go of the buttons and let your device start up normally. This will not remove any settings or information from your device.

Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I've tried my best to troubleshoot. . . opening in safe mode nothing seems to work.

The format keeps changing but the basics remain...in the center of the screen are large images of the recent apps which you can close by swiping up and away.

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

Facebook app begins to open up and then close immediately

When I am opening up the Facebook application on my iPhone, it just opens the screen and then closes right away.
Does anybody know why? I've powered down and back up, but it still does the same. My phone is just a couple of days old, but I've done the software updates.

I starting having this problem yesterday, for the second time in two weeks (I got my iPhone on the 26th of July). I did a complete restore last night. i got all of my data re-entered into each program. then, i switched my language to Japanese, and all apps started crashing again. I tried un-syncing a bunch of them, re-synching, then synching only part of the 80+ apps I have (okay, I know I'm an app junkie). Hard re-setting didn't work. Nothing did.
I was actually thinking of taking it back and reactivating my old phone.
Then I tried something simple. I re-downloaded a free app (Hangman) directly to my iPhone via the apple store. BAM! Hangman worked, and so did everything else.
The cause of my problem may not have been the same as everyone else's, but here is what I think worked.
1) In OS X on a mac, if something goes awry with a program, you usually can fix it by deleting a plist file.
2) Since you cannot do that on your iPhone, a corrupted plist file somewhere in the iPhone was refreshed/fixed by re-downloading the software directly to the phone.
I know that elsewhere, on Maccast specifically, I heard that it is best to never download programs directly to your phone (it is always better to sync them through iTunes), but this has me thinking otherwise. Once I get iPhone working again, I may try to never again connect the iPhone to iTunes again. I guess this means listening to podcasts ONLY on my other (STABLE, NON-CRASHING) iPod, the classic... so even though I bought the iPhone in part so that I dont have to take a PHONE and a MUSIC PLAYER when I leave the house, then I will have to take two devices anyway...

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.
