After OSX 10.9.2 update Google services not working properly

Hi all
I update my 2011 iMac 27-inc for new OSX 10.9.2. But after update Google service (Safari based Google search, Docs and YouTube) not working properly. Some time work great but some times not working. Was anybody experiencing this problem ? Any fixing solution ?

Since yesterday, after doing last Mavericks update, Messages is not working properly - the Dock icon is not bouncing nor showing any number for new messages. Very annoying, since I usually have Messages on background while working and I now i don't realize if people is chatting me unless I open the messages wondows.

Check System Preferences > Notification is set for Messages
In Messages > Preferences > General Section change the Sound option for Message Received.
Restart the app and test this sound is (still) playing.
Place app in background an iMessages "yourself" form your iPhone.
Does the sound Play ?

After installing acrobat my Microsoft office package does not work properly, word will not open and in my email i can't select anything with the mouse

After installing acrobat my Microsoft office package does not work properly, word will not open and when I want to write an email in my outlook email i can't select anything with the mouse. so copy past en delete are not an option.@

Are you using any MS Office third party Add-ins? Test: Remove third party Add-ins other than PDFMaker. Test to see if the MS Office apps run afterward.
Did you attempt to repair MS Office? Test: Go to Add/Remove Control Panel run Repair.
Finally, have you tried testing to see if it's PDFMaker? Test: Use the Add/Remove Control Panel to modify the Acrobat installation to remove PDFMaker. See if MS Office applications launch and behave correctly?

Why does my google toolbar not work properly with the new updates. It was such a convenience to use the old toolbar to go to places I had visited before. Now I cannot get those old addresses with anything but Firefox 3.62 or whatever.

Why does Google Toolbar not work with the newer versions of Firefox.

Google have stopped supporting Google Toolbar on the latest versions of Firefox. Apparently one of the reasons for this decision is that modern browsers already tend to support many of the functions that google toolbar provides.
Firefox does allow you to specifically bookmark sites you have chosen, and also automatically remembers many of the sites you visit.

IOS7 Update - Cellular Service Not Working

After installing the long awaited IOS7 today, my cellular service does not work. Now I can only use

I managed to get my ipad working after hours. The problem was that with the new ios7 came a carrier setting update 'Vodacom 15.1' which is the problem. Vodacom 15.0 is working.
How to fix.
Go to iTunes and make a backup of your device. Restore it from iTunes and restore your device from your backup. Do not accept any carrier setting update when prompted. After the carrier update your cellular will not work if you have the same problem.
If you have an iPhone go to settings, general, about, carrier.
Look at the carrier setting there and then look at your ipad. You will find that your ipad is probably a newer version currently.
Note that this is not a ios7 issue, but a carrier setting issue.

Google notifier not working properly with Leoard

Hi,
I'm using Google notifier 1.9.100 which was working fine with 10.4. Since I moved to 10.5 I get the error "sign-in failed" when I try to login into the google account.
It is browser independent, I can login into Google mail using firefox, but google notifier seems to randomly login.
If I wait for about 2 min and try again, it might work.
Has anyone encountered the same issue with 10.5 and google notifier ?

It seems that RSS has ''broken'' since both the 10.5.X and 10.4.11 updates. None of the RSS aggregators/utilities are working properly anymore. I use RSS Menu -- probably the most useful RSS notification utility out there, but it broke and I tried NetNewsWire out of desperation and the same deal. Updates are random if simply not at all. Completely unreliable. I've opened ports for curl and php (80 and 443) and it would seem that the updates broke something. Hopefully either the RSS software people or Apple will address this.

Why does my location services not work properly?

Over a week ago, my location services stopped working. I can't view local weather on the default weather app, the default map can't find my location, and none of the other apps I have that look for location can view my location. I tried turning location services off and back on but it won't fix the problem. How can I fix this while waiting for the computer to be repaired?

Haven't checked at home, but if this is the problem, then how come it still won't work at places like Starbucks or other wifi hotspots? I'm at Starbucks right now, logged on and checked my email so I saw your reply, remembered that the router disconnected me at home last week and then I was able to get back on. So, I thought maybe that's the problem - what you said - so I tested my location on the map and it STILL won't work! I'm so irritated about it, since I rely on that app to help me determine the distance and time to walk to locations from my current location.
I was able to "solve" the weather app by just adding my city instead of using the local weather. I'm hoping I can try restoring my iPod later this week if the laptop gets fixed by then. I HATE restoring, though. I could do it using iCloud but most of my music is off CD's and I haven't paid the $25 to upload all of that so I'd temporarily lose those songs.

After osx 10.9.5 upgrade email is not working

I upgraded today and email accounts in MAIL no longer work.

Have you restarted after upgrading?
Under Windows in the Menu bar select Connection Doctor. You will see green to indicate a connection and red to show there is a problem. Except for iCloud account you'll see two entries for each account 1) receiving and 2 SMTP for sending.
Most likely you need to re-enter your passwords.
In main account window add password then click out of the account to save.
Select account then select to edit SMTP setting.
EDIT SMTP SETTINGS
In Accounts window > Outgoing Mail Server SMTP: select to Edit SMTP Server list... from popup.
Select account in the list.(It's not uncommon to find extra SMTP servers listed. When you remove account, Mail does not delete the smtp info. You might need to do some clean up in the list to remove the extras.)
Under Advanced Tab:
Apple defaults to the default ports (25,465, 587) but some servers prefer a custom port. Check to see what port they recommend. Gmail for example likes 465, Outlook.com 587.
Verify if your server require SSL.
User Name. Enter full email address eg. [email protected]
Add password if it is blank.(If you have two step authentication setup, you'll need to get an app specific password more info)

Do you see green light snow for your account?
Occasionally you have to remove and add back an account. If it's a POP account, save al the messages in the Inbox to the Archive mailbox or move to a custom mailbox folder under "On My Mac". Removing a POP account deletes all messages in the Inbox. If these messages are not still on the sever you can loose messages if you do not save.

Google services not working on my wifi. Help !!

I recently bought my new Macbook Air and updates it to mavericks 10.9.4 through the wifi at my home.
1. Now I am in my college and we connect to wifi through proxies. But not I am having trouble opening google.com , gmail , youtube and any site that is linked with google.I tried firefox, chrome and safari but the same problem persists.
2. I can open up sites like msn.com , rediff.com and flipkart.com easily on these browsers through my college wifi. These sites are not blocked on my college proxy network.
3. Also, when I connect to my phone's tethered wifi , then I am able to open google, gmail and all other sites from same browsers.
4. My room-mate has a macbook pro. I did same settings on my mac as were in his macPro but still I cannot access google.
5. I heard its a DNS problem/ certificate problem. I even flushed my DNS and reloaded it again through the commands I found on net. Still, no luck.
6. I am not running any anti-virus on my mac. I had avast though , but i uninstalled it. Still no luck.
7. I can attach images for better references.
Please help me solve this problem, as I found out that this problem is there on many macbooks that are there in my college.

This sounds like a network problem, since it goes away when you connect through a different network. You'll need to talk to your university's IT department about this.

After Restoring with Migration Assistant internet accounts are not working properly

My Macbook Pro's HDD fried a week ago, so I swapped it for a new one. I had a backup from about 30mins before the issue happened, so I thought everything would go fine with Time Machine. Well, not quite. After installing Mac OS X Mavericks from the Disk Utility and telling the system to apply the latest backup on Migration Assistant during the installation, everything started up the way I left it, but several problems showed up and I have been trying to troubleshoot them.
Issues:
1. I used to have Facebook, Twitter and two Gmail accounts logged via the Internet Accounts preferences. Used the gmail accounts for notes, contacts and calendars. Now, they all show up on the menu, but when I click on any of them it tells me they aren't connected and asks me for their password. When I put it down, it gives me an "Unable to verify account" message. If I delete the accounts and try to reinsert them, I get the same message. What's even more weird: When I restart, they are all there again.
2. Notes doesn't update properly. It shows me all the notes up until like 4 weeks ago, and whenever I even click on the app's window, it tells me it can't connect to Gmail and asks me for its password again. Several other apps that require syncing, like Calendar, have the same issue.
Troubleshooting attempts:
1. It's not a problem with these accounts, as I've been able to sync them no problem if I create a new user. But I had some serious work being done and I don't really want to get a fresh start.
2. I tried doing a clean install and when the Migration Assistant showed up I asked to transfer everything except personal documents and data. It worked, but I lost all my personal files that are not on dropbox (not many, but there were a few important things). Also the wifi didn't connect at all, kept saying it was self assigning an IP or whatever. This did not happen before.
3. Not using migration assistant at all, but restarting the system and restoring a time machine backup, even an earlier one from that same day. Mac gets stuck on spinning wheel during boot :/
This killed my weekend's productivity already, as each clean install and time machine restoring takes 3hrs+. I don't know what to do at this point.

Try this:
*Accessing Time Machine Backups From Another User Account or Computer*
Yes, you can do this using the Time Machine interface.
Attach the drive containing the TM backups to your computer.
Control-click the TM icon in the dock and select "Browse Other Time Machine Disks...".
Highlight the desired disk and click “Use Selected Disk”. This will now allow you to browse those TM backups via the ‘time travel’ window. From here you can restore what files you need access to. Bear in mind that any files moved will have the permissions of that previous user account. Thus you may be prompted for the user name and password of that previous account. However, once verified you should be able to adjust “Sharing & Permissions” in the files “Get Info” window.

MacBook Pro update at startup not working properly rendering MacBook unusable.

My MacBook Pro loads an update at the grey screen then shuts off. When it turns back on it attempts to finish loading the update again. Is there a way to stop this update from happening at the startup screen at this time?

you can try this: boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it reach the login screen now?

Google maps not working properly

Has anyone else noticed this recently. Google maps does not seem to (or incorrectly) locates the wrong addresses from my contacts. It worked fine a week ago. I have noticed on some of the contacts, google will change the address during the search or can't find the address, including my home address which it identified perfectly before. Is this a software issue with google, or an iphone issue? Also in the past when I used goog 411 (free directory), it would send a text with the phone number and a map link so that I could locate the place I got the phone number for. The link does not seem to find the location anymore on the map. I really liked this feature.

After reinstall my magic mouse and keyboard are not working properly

so i've had various problems with my mac so did a clean reinstall, now my magic mouse wont scroll and my the f buttons on my wireless keyboard don't work ie volume buttons, i've checked the system preferences and all is well there, any ideas????

Do you use wireless devices? Are batteries OK?
Have you noticed the same problem using other USB devices?
I presume both devices uses USB port on your notebook.
