After out of battery turn of, basic settings has to be filled in again?

Mac resets basic settings after turning of because of no battery. eg. time and year, forgets internet password etc.
Why do this happen? and is there something i can do? From time to time the mac will run out of battery without me being there....

You're telling me that I have to wait another month because of their mistake? How rediculous does that sound Nokia? I'm paying $10.00 a month for what? Almost every other person would agree that Sprint Insurance would be better than just being without your phone for two months. This is crazy. They should have just sent that phone out and gave me a refurbished one.
Well I'm planning to switch to Sprint's insurance. Like other people, I've realized that the Best Buy program is rediculous and clearly something is going on with it. How else can you describe ALL of the problems that people have been having. If any Sprint users read this, Sprint is offering open enrollment for their insurance for this month only, so if you are tired of Best Buy, go ahead and switch within this month.

  • TS1559 I have two problems but since they both started at the same time I'm guessing that they are related. My WiFi on/off button is greyed out AND my iCloud Drive (under "Settings") has been "Upgrading" with that spinning download symbol for 2 wks now! N

I cant be positive but I think this started when my iPhone did an automatic software update. I couldn't get any WiFi connection because when I go to turn it back on the iPhone wont let me and Greys out my WiFi on/off button.
But also I think something happened to my iCloud connect as well because next to my iCloud Drive under "Settings" it has that spinning symbol that usually denotes waiting for something to finish downloading. But this time it never stopped! Its been spinning saying "iCloud is Upgrading" for 2 weeks now! I have tried the on/off iPhone restart or reset, and I've even put my iPhone into "Recovery Mode" as a last resort. but when iTunes was finished "Restoring" it, nothing had changed; Still Greyed out WiFi button and iCloud is still "Upgrading"! Help please!

    Hi Ichin,
I am a bit confused with your statement -
if ((p_select_list is not null) and (p_text_field is not null)) then
    return true;
elsif ((p_select_list is null) and (p_text_field is null)) then
    return true;
    else
    return false;
    end if;Here this statement -
if ((p_select_list is not null) and (p_text_field is not null)) then
return true;returning the result TRUE when both fields are not null
    And this statement -
elsif ((p_select_list is null) and (p_text_field is null)) then
return true;returning the result TRUE again when both fields are null. If you see closely basically is not validating becoz it returning true whatever the input is.
I do not know what you want to use the second statement when you have else statement at the end. It will return false if one or both fields are null unless you want to validate either text field.
    Hope this make sense.

  • IPhone turns off, thinking it has run out of battery

From time to time (every second or third day) my iPhone turns off thinking it has run out of battery. This is despite the battery % stating it still has a significant amount of power remaining. I have seen it turn off at 17%, 25% and today 38%. When I try to turn it back on by holding down the on/off butting, the screen displays the out of battery screen, telling me to plug it into a charger. When I plug it into a charger, the phone comes back on, and already has the same amount of charge as it did before it turned off. So in today's case when I plugged it back it, and it powered up, the phone had 38% of battery immediately.
What can I do to fix this so the phone uses all its battery life?
    Thanks

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

  • Macbook says it's out of battery, but has 40% charge

Recently, I've been having a (somewhat) frequent problem with my MBP Retina (2012). At some point when I'm running on battery, the screen will just shut off and the computer is unresponsive. After a few minutes of trying to get it to turn back on, it shows the "Plug in your computer" symbol on the screen, indicating it went to sleep because it thought it was out of battery.
The problem is that it isn't actually out of battery. Every time this has happened, it has had a significant amount of charge (usually more than 40%).
    Is this a known problem?

  • Macbook Pro just ran out of battery, when I tried to boot up it cannot locate the HDD.

So as stated above I mistakenly left my Macbook Pro on and it ran out of battery. When I tried to power it back on again it just goes to the folder and question mark logo. What happened? Did I kill the hard drive ?

    Let it charge overnight.

  • How do you fix lines that come up on an iPod Touch (5th Gen) once it turns on after running out of battery?

This has happened to me about 4 times now. I just got a brand new iPod touch (5th Gen) after replaceing my 4th gen iPod. I havent had it for a month, so its still brand new. The only thing is that when the iPod runs out of battery it turns off (duh) but it doesnt turn back on when you plug it in to charge. When I noticed that the iPod doesnt turn on, and I hit the power button, lines appear on my screen. They are lines that run up and down the screen from left to right. I try factory resets, setting resets, restoring my iPod. But this issue keeps coming up. I honestly dont know what to do. This thing is brand new and its acting up on me. Should I take it to my apple store? Should I just put up with it. I have tried everything and at this point I dont know what to do anymore. Please help!!

Since you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem
If the iPod is defective within warranty (you indicate it is) and not abused Apple will exchange it on the spot.

  • My iPod 5th gen touch won't turn on after running out of battery and then being charged for several hours

I was using my ipod touch 5th gen, when it ran out of battery. I wasn't able to charge it all night because the lighting adapter plug broke, and so this battery sign and the lighting charger sign kept popping up telling me to charge it. It ran like that all night and when I woke up it wouldn't turn on at all. I tried plugging it into a few different computers to charge it, and after several hours it still won't turn on. I tried plugging it into my computer with iTunes up, but it still would not charge and my computer would not recognize that it was there. Anyone want to give me some tips?
    Thanks

recalibrate the battery, let the device run out of battery to where it shuts off and then fully charge it without using it.

  • My iPhones turn back to 6.0 after running out of battery

It was on 6.0.1 from the first day of 6.0.1
I was restarting and reseting iphone this period and nothing changed. All normal.
Tonight it's running out of battery and when i plug it in and turn on it was on 6.0 and ask for update.
I notice that is back on 6.0 after syncing with iTunes 11 but i don't think it's related.
    Any idea?

I just updated to iTunes 11, I'm going to sync right now and see what happens, will report back.
holy crap the interface is totally different.
Just finish syncing didn't change my IOS.

  • IPad Mini completely ran out of battery and now wont turn on at all, even after being on charge for a number of hours. What can I do?

My iPad mini ran out of battery yesterday and now won't turn on at all. How do I resolve this?

When the battery goes flat it can 15 to 20 minutes of charging to then be able to get a response from it, but if you've charged it for longer than that they it should have picked up some charge. Have you got a different charger or cable that you could try just in case there is a problem with either of those - an iPhone or iPod charger will work with the iPad, but as they are lower power will take longer.

even after all night of charging my ipod touch is running out of battery whithin 5 minutes of it being on, why is this?

Try the following to rule out a software problem.:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • My Macbook Pro ran out of battery last night and wouldn't turn back on even when connected to power for a period of time. However, when I woke up, it did turn on. Is there a reason this happened and should I get it looked at?

Last night, I was watching something on my Macbook Pro and it died (out of battery). I went to plug it in and waited a couple of minutes to try and start it back up. However, when I connected the power source the light was green, which could not have been the case since I know 100% it was out of battery. I proceeded to hold the start button for a long period of time, but my computer made no noise and refused to turn on - it looked like for all intensive purposes it was dead. I left it alone overnight praying that it would be alright in the morning and luckily, when I opened the computer this morning it was restarted and fine. I'm concerned because I've had this happen to me a couple of times and while it always turns back on, I feel like there is a bigger issue that I need to get addressed. Can anyone help me with this? Any ideas? Thank you!

Apple recommend calibrating the battery when you buy a new Macbook and then every few months, or monthly if it used on mains all the time. This, as Apple says is to keep the battery operating at maximum efficiency. When the battery discharges and shuts the macbook down, it still has reserve power for a good number of hours. There is also a logic board battery to hold various settings.
