I am having the same problem also Thought it was my network and reset everything including Apple TV but still the problem is there . I assume now it is down to iOS 8 prior to that was perfect

Hi, I was importing pictures into iPhoto from my sd card and suddenly iPhoto quit. Now it just won't open. When I click on the iphoto icon in the dock, nothing happens! Does anyone have a solution to this problem please?
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
If it does then your current library has been damaged and should be repaired: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start
with Option #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Since I have connected my iPad with the MacBook through ICloud I have problems in Preview of opening PDF- and JPG-files. Does anyone have a solution for this?
I'm not sure I understand the connection between iCloud and this problem. Is it simply a problem of coincidental timing (ie, the problem happened after you set up iCloud)? If so, there's almost certainly no connection between these two events.
Where are you getting the files you're trying to open, and what specifically happens when you try to open them? -

You can do both, whatever is more convenient to you. As long as VZW gets its hands on the old device you will be good to go. Replacements under the warranrty require the user to turn in the old device to VZW. If your old device is not returned then you will be charged a fee for an entirely new device. Purchasing a tracking number for a shipment of this kind would be a good idea if you choose to send it in. Otherwise dropping it off at a store is the safest route you can take.
I would suggest contacting VZW phone support on this one and running through your options. The VZW phone rep can coordinate a delivery to your local VZW store if they do not already have one in stock. You can also turn in the old device in person to rule out any non-returned device fees. -

I have an iPhone 4S wi iOS 5.1 installed and I can't view the option to enqble iTunes Match under the Music menu. I have subscribed to the service and it works fine on my iPad. Does anyone have a solution to this? Can anyone enlighten me as to what's going on?

Try running Safari in 32 bit mode. In get info box for Safari,
check open in 32 bit mode. There have been some oddities
on some systems that can cause some issues.

That can indicate a too-full hard drive. Highlight your hard drive's icon and then do "Get Info..." from the Finder's "File" menu. That will look something like this:

I have a new iPhone 4 which I cannot sync until I upgrade to the latest version of iTunes software (version 10.2.2). Upon trying to upgrade, I keep receiving a message which states, "The URL could not be opened." Anyone else had the same problem & does anyone have a solution? Installed the IOS6 Uodate on both my Iphone and Ipad.
Have found the Rocanda LSD finder and land tracker apps to not integrate with maps properly.
I use these applications constantly as I am a driver in the oilfield.
This update has made my Rocanda useless. It will not save a converted LSD location
and use another LSD location to show directions on the maps.
This used to work perfectly and was a valuable tool.
Can anyone tell me how to repair this?Speaking as someone who happens to be named Michael Broughton ;), let me note that I did not depend on trying to parse the OWB runtime repository to determine the last run status for a given mapping. I used a set of our own tables that we use to audit various processes that run against our database.
Similar to you, we had the notion of a master process and sub-processes. So, our load could be described as:
Insert master process row with status "Started".
For each mapping to execute:
insert a sub-process row with status "started"
if the last run of the master process ran to "COMPLETE", or the last run of this master process ran to "FAILED" but there is no row for this sub-process with status "COMPLETE", then we need to run the process. run it and update the sub-process row with the return status. If status <> OK, then update master process to status "FAILED" and exit.
otherwise, If we determined that the mapping did not need to be executed, then update the sub-process row with status "COMPLETE"
We put in the stubs for the processes whether we need to run them or not so that if the load fails multiple times, each run will contain the complete list of mappings that were completed.
In point of fact, if you insert the stubs when skipping over mappings during a restart then you can condense the "do I need to run this time" logic to: Run allways unless the last master process run failed but this process succeeded.
How you want to code that query will depend entirely on how you are saving your data.

This is a medical records system, cloud based. I use Firefox to get into the system, but any browser would work. Other than this problem, Firefox works fine (better than IE, in my opinion).
Patient demographics include their email, which is hyperlinked and should go right to Outlook (my default email program). This works in IE, but nothing happens on the click when using Firefox as the browser.
I queried Practice Fusion, which replied: In regards to your previous question about the email hyperlink in the patient information, it looks this is not something that can be fixed on our end right now. It is the web browsers' responsibility to handle these types of links, and there seems to be something lost in the communication between the Flash engine and the browser. I apologize for any inconvenience.
