After processing it just hangs

LR2.0.. I might be keywording or exporting but generally just working in Lightroom and after a period of time it just stops working and I stare at the never ending hour glass spinning. I have walked away from the computer for over an hour and it is the same when I come back. The only way to get out of this is to go to the task list and shut it down.
When I start LR up again all is fine for awhile and then it just repeats itself. LR 1.4 was the same and LR 2.0 is also the same on my laptop which makes me think that it is not my computer. Is this a common problem??

The queues in adapter are different from the queues in Integration Engine.
You can restart failed msg in adapter queues also. Stefan Grube has shown this in a weblog. Just do a search, you will get the blog.

Which operating system are you using?
Resetting the photoshop preferences might cure the problem.
Press and hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys down just after starting the launch of photoshop 7
(Shift-Command-Option on a mac)
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop settings file

There seems to be a few bugs with iCloud Mail at times, so send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

This is not a reply. I just want to elaborate on this problem.
My computer freezes occasionally when it is used after being sleep for a while. The spinning ball appears and everything is totally disabled. Nothing on the keyboard works.
The mouse moves, but does not work.
The only solution is to turn the power off and on (losing all data in open applications.)
I kept the System monitor running on the side to find out which program was running when the computer froze. The Monitor as well as all other applications froze, but the data showed:
Firefox 18.4%
Activity Monitor 0.9%
Firefox Plugin 0.2%
This is all the information I have. By the way, I am using iMac with OS 10.6.

You can automatically save downloads without seeing the Open/Save/Cancel dialog in the Options:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > General > "Saves files to"
However, I can't think of a way to have the Open/Save/Cancel dialog always default to Save. I think mine suggests whatever I did last for the same type of content, but I haven't paid close attention.
I'm out of time to address the problem with "do this automatically" but there is one suggestion for why it could be grayed out in this article: [[Change what Firefox does when you click on or download a file]].
Is it possible you had a download-related extension before? To compare settings and extensions, please retain the Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop. Aside from checking the extensions in there, it would be interesting to run a text file comparison on your currently active prefs.js file and your old one in that folder.

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

After compile, run DAQ program just hang

The exe program(LV2010) can running well. After I copied it to another laptop with only 2010 runtime installed, it cannot run just hang there after I click the 'start' button in my program. Even difficult to kill it.
I also installed ni-scope and DAQ max on the new machine.

Try calling the function from a different C program (exe or dll) and see if you see the same behavior as a you saw when calling the function from LabVIEW. I would also suggest compiling a debug version of the dll, call it from LabVIEW, and step through the code. Lastly, make sure you trap any error codes in the DLL to see if you are timing out, etc.

After installing 10.0.9 event library just hangs

I recently upgrade to FCP X 10.0.9 and now when I launch FCP it just hangs, even after hours. none of the old images are visible

I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11 & even typing this message the characters appear so slowly that I could get a hammer and chisel and inscribe the words faster than the new Firefox runs. WTF?

I just updated my OS to Leopard and know Power Point from my office suite is opening, or tries to after a reboot and hangs when you try to open it.

I just updated my Mac Book Pro to leopard 10.6.8, and now Power Point from my office suite angs, and when I start up or re boot the laptop Power Point automatically opens and then just hangs, the only way to close is to force close.
Does any one know of any similar issues.

After first time installation, system did not restart, just hanged.

I am new to ur world of mac.
I tried to install os x 10.4 on an intel pc.
All went excellent. But at the end when it said to restart,
it just hanged there and did not restart.
I used the reset button, but it didn't boot
error message was "B0 error"

That is right - upgrade to Mac as in purchase a Mac which now have Intel processors and the ability to also install and use Windows XP or Vista along with OS X on the same computer.
I wonder if u have gone thru Apple's OS X license agreement recently?
I have gone through the Apple website recently but I don't need to. Regardless, the answer remains the same and will not change. If you want to run OS X, you need to purchase a Mac.

Its probably that you have added a field to an existing DSO/ODS and the system is populating that field. This is however speculation and in order to exactly tell you what the issue is, please let us know which object is it getting stuck at.
Also transporting this many objects at once is never a good idea. As a best practice, collect the objects in different TRs based on type and then import the TRs based on dependency.

I am working on a system for automatically testing student submissions on an introductory course about unix scripting. The program works by running a test script on a student submission, using Runtime.getRuntime().exec(). The Process object has a limited life span of 10 seconds (by default), and if it is still running after these 10 seconds, Process.destroy() is used to kill it.
A bug exists when one of the submissions being tested times out. When the destroy() method is used it leaves a child process running... since students can also run
some tests from the file submission client, the number of hanging processes soon adds up as they test and test again to get it right before submission. Eventually this results in too many processes and the server keels over.
Does anyone have any ideas on killing these hanging processes?

Process Multiple Files hangs Computer

Running PSE 12 on a HP Pavilion with Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 and all current patches applied.
I am what I consider an avid photographer (not professional but I take a lot of pictures) and I have been using PhotoShop Elements for over 5 years (all different versions of course).
Recently whenever I use Process Multiple Files in the editor to get photos ready for displaying on my blog my computer just hangs and I have to turn it off by way of the power switch.
Here is what happens:
I edit photos in the editor adjusting exposure and cropping and such then I need to get them ready to display online so I go into Process Multiple Files (much faster then doing it one by one).
I then point the output to the folder I want adjust the output size and file type to JPEG and click on OK.
The photos get processed as always and I am presented with the blank editor screen (no pictures as they all closed after being processed)
Then when I try to go back to the organizer (or any place else) the computer just sits there and does nothing (The clock does not even update during this hang).
I tried to get to the Task Manager by hitting the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys but nothing happens. The computer is totally unresponsive.
I have even tried just letting it sit and see if it ever comes back. When I did this it eventually blanked my screen after the time I specified in the screen saver. When I moved the mouse it just came back to the empty editor.
When I need to edit my photos I use Process Multiple Files all the time as it is a great time saver when saving photos for the web.
Any and all help will be appreciated in resolving this issue.
P.S. I have been using PSE12 since December of 2013 without any problems until now. Also it does not matter if I process 3 files or 30 files same results, computer hangs.

The folder I was trying to process was in another folder with a
backslash in the name. Once I removed the backslash, Process Multiple
Files worked again. Thanks for the quick response and the helpful hint.

Not the best at IT and just clicked update when it came up as available without realising what I was doing! Turns out it was an upgrade to os x 10.9.4. Since then the laptop has been practically unusable particularily when it comes to safari, it is either really slow getting to a particular page or just doesnt do anything, no matter how long you wait. Restarting doesnt seem to help, reload view fails as well. Its strange as sometimes its ok for 10 minutes then starts doing this. I know this is bad but I have never backed the laptop up so cant restore to previous version. I am currently looking into which external hard drive to buy so I can start doing regular back ups. I have run EtreCheck in the hope somebody can help!! Results below
