I understand that this program is discontinued - I have 10,000 or so photios lovingly tagged and cross tagged. How can I move on to another photo organising app? I have tried Elements and Bridge - but these are Too complex for my requireemnts? Can I write the tags and captions to the file properties so that other apps can at least see and use them? I have experimented and tagged photos when looked at using Windows Explorer properties have no tags or captions?

You can use Elements to write the tag info to the files (there's a command for that which I don't think exists in Starter Edition), then you can explore alternative file organization apps. Perhaps one of the simplest could be Microsoft Photo Organizer, or Google Picasa; either should be able to harvest the keyword tags from the files.

After downloading album covers (some not found) itunes does not show most of the covers.

After downloading album covers into iTunes iTunes does not show most of the covers. It showas blank white boxes except for those where "cover not found" (music notes).
You have any idea how this happens, perhaps with location of the files.

iTunes refuses to play/read file, it cannot recognizes headers, or recognizes those as corrupt, but giving no error messages. The problem is the stored artwork(s) on your music files. To correct this, select the files that are corrupted/cannot be played on iTunes&iPod, click "Convert ID3 Tags...", then select v1.1 from the dropdown box (first, try this on a few to see that my solution is working).
By doing so, iTunes replaces headers, but your ID3 tags will not be changed (I assume you are using ID3 v2.4), nor you'll lose any info or anything else. This works as a hotfix for those files. If you try to replace headers via another program, your information will be truncated, and any artwork stored will be deleted. So I recommend this one.
You'll see that iTunes cannot play most of the files that has artwork(s) stored in them. New version hasn't fixed this problem, and it has risen with iTunes 8.2.x. If it's going to take long, I suggest you should go back to 8.1.x.

All my camera photos was disappear after update Album app

After updated Album app version 5.4.A.0.20 from update center, all photos which took by Xperia Z1 was disappear! only left photo which transfer from old phone and edited photo. i had restart my Z1 and still the same. by the way, my camera is directly save into SD card. anybody know how to recover it?

You could try going to Settings - Apps then swipe to All and look for the Album app then open it and tap on Clear cache and reboot your phone - Do not tap on Clear data - or you could try deleting the .Thumbnail folder which may be hidden but using an app like a file explorer and choosing show hidden files will show the folder then it's a case of deleting and again rebooting your phone

"itunes has stopped working" after downloading album artwork??

For years I've avoided ipod and itunes like the plague...but about 2 weeks ago I gave in. I got an ipod touch and installed itunes. Everything was fine - until this afternoon when I clicked on find album artwork in itunes. After itunes finished going through the process of finding the artwork ( 1400 of 1600 files found, 1450 of 1600 found, etc...or something like that ), i got the error message that *itunes has stopped working*. I've been searching forums all night and tried uninstalling eveything "apple" and reinstalling. Apparently this error comes up for A LOT of people ( problems like this are why I never wanted an ipod... ). None of the recommended fixes are working. I'm assuming something went wrong during artwork downloading????? Or not? I don't really care why actually, but, if itunes crashes every time i hook up my ipod, what good is it ( or the ipod )...and i don't know what to do with the ipod ( how to download apps, or add music, photos and videos ) w/o the itunes. My previous media players were all drag and drop ease.
I'm a newbie - and i'm rally frustrated - so please be kind. Can anyone tell me - in plain terms - how to get my itunes to not "stop working" every time i hook up my ipod?? Please?

OK, so after looking everywhere for an answer - with no luck - I figured it out on my own ( don't ask me how... ). I'll tell you what I did. I bet you have the same problem. Honestly, I thought I'd be returning the **** thing, but it's fine now.
I'd plug in my ipod ( 32gtouch, like yours ), and itunes would open. Everything was fine until it started to sync my music. Then it would freeze, give me the error message, and then shut down. I did this probably 10 times throughout the day, and always the same. Then I noticed it always froze at the same place during the sync. Soooo, I finally realized I must have a corrupt file.
Step 1: Do as I did, but when it starts to freeze, take note of the name of the song it freezes on. That's probably the culprit .Remember it. Let the error message come up and close as always...
Step 2: Open itunes again! Click on your ipod, and then on the music tab. Immediately un-check "Sync music" ( top of the page ) and then click "apply" ( bottom right ). DO THAT FAST...before it has a chance to sync, or it will just freeze again!
Step 3: Go into your music library on itunes, and DLETE/REMOVE that song.
Step 4: Close itunes.
Step 5: Open itunes, and go again to your ipod, and click on music tab. This time, check the "sync music" box ( and apply ).
That should fix it. If it doesn't you have more than one corrupt file. In that case, close itunes and then open it again. Follow step 1 and 2 again. Remove any songs from your library that aren't that important to you ( especially those that were from questionable sources... ). Basically, you need to figure out which song ( or songs ) are causing the problem. If you just delete them all, you'd have to add them again one at a time to avoid the problem again, and that would be a pain. So, just remove as many as you feel like ( out of 1500 songs or so, I removed a couple hundred ). I left mainly the ones that were from my actual CDs or that I had bought through Amazon ( or other legit source ). I removed most of my Limewire downloads. Most of them are probably fine, but I'll add them later one at a time to be sure...
I still have plenty of Limewire songs on there, and they are fine, but, as you know, you do get bad files sometimes.
Anyways, once I did this, everything is fine and works great. I even started adding album art manually, and at one point it froze again. So, I did steps 1 and 2 again, and removed the album art I last added, and then synced again, and it was fine. Usually, the album art I add is OK, but I had that one pesky photo I guess ). So, I guess the thing is after you get the majority of your music on, just add and adjust things a little at a time, and you'll always know which file is causing you problems ( hopefully no files will!! ).

Have you tired reinstalling the update and clearing the cache and data from the app via Settings Apps then All locate and open Album and tap on Clear cache and data

Error code after downloading album

i downloaded the new Evanescence cd and after it started downloading all i got was error code's for every song except for the interactive booklet and the interview that came with the album download. i have been charged the $10.99 for something that i do not have!!!!! How do i get my refund!?!?!?!?!?!

i looked into the "purchased" tab and none of the songs appear in there, not even the error codes. my bill shows $9.99 for something i never got.
just checking. are we talking about doing a "Store > check for purchases ..." as per the following document?

Okay last night I bought the Carter IV and I had problems with my gift card. So eventually I updated my itunes to the most current for my windows 7. Now the issue is I have no music accept the purchased album, and in my "music folder" in Previous Itunes Libraries I dont see the thousands of songs and videos I had on itunes! so If anybody can help it would be most appreciated.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
This assumes that you are currently connected to the library file in the main iTunes folder, if you've somehow managed to connect to an alternate file then hold down shift as you start iTunes so that you get options to "Choose or create a library", then choose the library file in question.
There should shouldn't be a Music folder in Previous iTunes Libraries which makes me suspect you've picked the wrong file at some point, where it happens to be, rather than restoring it as outlined above.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

After using the Mosaic screen saver, my Mac will freeze, therefore resulting in me having to perform a hard shutdown, and reboot my Mac. When my Mac turns back on and I log in, Crash Reporter reports that AdobeResourceSychronizer crashed. The log is found with in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ This occurs approximately once every 3-5 days. The only Adobe software I should have installed is:

Flash
Shockwave

I can't find how to download a pre-ordered album on my ipod after the album has been released.

I pre-ordered an album on my ipod a few weeks and it just came out today. When I got to the store and clicked on the album it says purchased. I can't find how to download the album on my ipod.

Deleting iphone album after iphoto album is deleted

I uploaded photos from iphoto to my iphone and then later on decided to change the album name. I changed the album name on iphoto and synched the new album. My problem is that I now have both albums on my iphone. I cannot delete the old album from my unphone my un-selecting and resynching bec the album is no longer on iphoto. How do I delete the old uploaded album on my iphone to save on memory?

One thing to try is to clear out all the photos on your iphone.
Create an empty folder on your desktop.
Connect the iphone and when it shows in itunes, go to the photos tab.
Now set itunes to sync photos from a folder instead of iphoto.
Set the iphone to sync to the new empty folder and click apply.
This will clear out any photos you have synced to your iphone.
Now try syncing the album you want from iphoto.

After burning album to CD, order is lost

I am on iPhoto 5. When I burn an album to CD and then read that album from the CD the original order is lost. I have used share-burn and share-export. On the export the jpeg pictures are not in the correct order either. What am I missing? I know I should go to iPhoto 8 but: Can iPhoto 8 read the CDs burned in 5? Does 8 solve the order problem? Many reviews of 8 say it has many bugs. Are things more stable now?

When I burn an album to CD and then read that album from the CD the original order is lost.
No - what you are seeing is the finder's display order which you can change (alpha, date, etc) not the physical order on the CD
If you want the display in a certain then you need to name the photos in that order (photo001, photo002, photo003 etc) so the display order matches what you want
Can iPhoto 8 read the CDs burned in 5?
Yes - but what you want to do is to convert your whole library - not move it via CD - with an upgrade to iLife '08 that will happen (I recommend backing up prior to upgrading - Always)
Does 8 solve the order problem?
No - only to the extent that I know how to export the photos with new names in iPhoto '08 so the display will match what you want - iPhoto 5 may or may not have that capability - I do not remember.
Many reviews of 8 say it has many bugs. Are things more stable now?
What reviews are you reading? iPhoto '08 works great for me and for millions of people. What specific concern do you have about iPhoto '08?

Continous play after switcing albums/artists

Hey, i was wondering if it's possible to get iTunes to switch to the next song, even if its a different artist or album. At the moment, if i play a song and then switch album or artist for when it ends, it just stops and i have to go and press play again. Is there a way to make it so it goes straight onto the next song?

Duplicated Artwork and Song(s) after purchasing album on iTunes.

I downloaded an entire album from iTunes and all of the songs, except one, successfully downloaded. The one song that didn't download properly, ended up by itself with a duplicated album artwork.
Can't figure out how to move it to where it belongs. Help!

Nano Plus 1GB - full after 12 album

I have transfered 2 albums (between 28 and 92kbp). This has taken up almost all the storage capacity. They are in folders and have been transfered from windows media player. Some are mp3 audio files but most are wma. I haven't got a clue what I have done wrong and what to do now. Any advice greatly appreciated!

Well if you figure 2 albums with about 5 songs an album, thats 80 songs, if all your songs are 28kbs and up the sizes will probably vary from 4-6mbs on average so if you take
80songs x 5mbs = 900 megs, so add in a couple longer songs / higher bitrates and your all full.
Like the people above said you can lower bitrates if you want to fit more, you shouldn't go below 28 unless you don't mind sacrificing quality. Some people claim they can't hear a difference between a 64kbs .wma and a 28kbs .mp3, and maybe thats true with the stock earbuds you get with the player that barely play audible mono but with any kind of decent headset your gonna regret it.
Ultimately its your choice, I for one would never choose to listen to a 64kbs track wma or otherwise.

Missing tracks after downloading Album Art

I downloaded version 7 without a hitch several days ago and yesterday, I downloaded missing album art. Beautiful feature. Seemed to work on my 30G Video IPod perfectly. Unfortunately, later on, when I opened ITunes and tried to play a song on my computer, I got the error message: "The song "Whatever The Name of Song" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" When I clicked on "Yes", I was unable to located the song's file in any previous Library. Additionally, I noticed that this applied only to older (pre ITunes 6?)music files and that every other track is missing from these albums. This applies to music both purchased from Itunes and copied from CDs. Music I added relatively recently (Itunes 6?) seems to be safe. Basically, the track is listed in the current library but the file cannot be located. David Pogue's Blog has a suggestion to re-download V6 and delete V7 but I am afraid that this will make matters worse. I really need help here as this involves alot of music that I don't want to lose.

i don't know how to fix your problem directly, but if you're desperate, you can do what I do when Apple doesn't recognize an album of mine. I just go to amazon.com, look up the album, expand the picture, right click (or on a mac control click) and copy the photo then go to iTunes, then the album, right click on the song (or choose multiple by shift, and clicking the songs you want) go to "Get Info", then go to the artwork tab, and in the large white box, right click and paste.
its a longer process than just simply using retrieve album artwork, but if iTunes doesn't know the album, or you're having problems with their programs, this is a nice way around it.
