After publishing new site, old site keeps showing

I just published a new site, paid and activated it in Business Catalyst WebBasic+ plan, replaced the DNS settings, and the old site keeps appearing.
One funny thing is that in the site manager, all the good files are there but when I try to edit the Hostname record in the dropdown menu of the Homepage the structure of the old site appears ?????. When I publish the site again, the old site keeps appearing.
I cleared all my caches in all my browsers, same result.
Any ideas ?

Upgraded to new TC / Old TC keeps showing in AP Utility.

My old TC is unplugged, yet its ghost is still lingering on the Airport Utility. I can access my new TC, but I now have 2 showing up. Very strange... it even shows a green light (although I cant go any further with it, like getting into its settings obviously). All my software/firmware is current.
How do I exorcise this ghost??

I'm a little confused by your statement that "lately the TC just stops working." Do you mean ethernet, wireless, both?
Don't know if this will help or not, but a few thoughts:
The subject of your post indicated that you were losing the TC when trying to connect to it with AirPort Utility. Temporarily, connect an ethernet cable directly from your Mac to one of the LAN ports on the TC so see if that will help on that problem.

I assume the FiOS is also a router with multiple ethernet jacks, correct? You should have an ethernet connection setup between one of the Ethernet ports on the FiOS to the WAN port on the TC. (Actually, with the TC in bridge mode..see below..you could connect to any port)
In AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Internet icon, check to make sure that Connection Sharing for the TC is set to "Off (Bridge Mode).
Update the TC in AirPort Utility and verify that you can connect via ethernet to the LAN ports on the TC before going any further.
Wireless....Under the Wireless tab in AirPort Utility, Wireless Mode should be set to "Create a Wireless Network" if you want the TC to handle wireless devices.
Those would be the two main settings to check. If you have made multiple changes to the TC setup, it might be best to hard reset the device back to factory defaults and start over on the configuration.

IWeb 3.0.4 problem under Lion X: Why are my movies unable to play after publishing web-site?

No problems with the above running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Under Lion, I can place movies during the edit phase, set up quicktime to autoplay, and test it and it plays. After publishing the site, the movies do not play. Sometimes a note saying that "a plugin is not available" appears in the movie window. Could this be a Quicktime problem? The movies were placed in iWeb using iTunes from the Media Display and are .m4v files edited in iMovie. The web-site works on iMacs running 10.6.8, and on PC's. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks QTKirk. Tried the web site under firefox 5.0 and the movies played! Not sure about the DivX extension for Safari. There is something called 3ivx on my machine that has something to do with Mpeg. Could you give me the steps to remove this from Safari, assuming that it is the extension you were talking about? How would I see what extensions are in Safari? I'm labeling your response with the correct answer to my problem because either way --- I can always use firefox if I can't get Safari straightened out. Hi. I am sorry you are having issues with your email and I can certainly look into it for you. When did this start happening? Dif you download any applications before this started happening? Try to delete that particular email account and set it up again to see if that works.

Old accounts keep showing

Hi.
I need advice for Mail 5.3 on iMac with OSX 10.7.5
I deleted a couple of old accounts time ago.
Now when I open a message received in my new account, if I click my name as a receiver the old accounts keep showing, even though grayed out.
Is there a way to get rid of these accounts?

Thank you sanjampet, tried your suggestion but the accounts I want to delete do not appear in the V2 folder.
Of the two accounts, one was a hotmail.com and the other was yahoo.com, both unused for years.
They were never sync with anything (like Mobileme or others).

Adobe is a company... what does "Adobe 10" and "Adobe 7" mean?
If you bought those on disc I don't think they are part of the Cloud
The serial number is usually on a sticker on the disc holder inside the box
If you lost your serial number check https://www.adobe.com/account.html for your registered products
When you figure out what programs you have, you might check the specific forums
If you start at the Forums Index http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use
Click the "down arrow" symbol on the right to open the drop down list and scroll

How do I remove old web site when publishing new site with same URL in iweb? Hit replace when publishing new iweb site (so we could have control over changes) but new site name is attached to old via a / after our www address we want to keep.

I hit the replace when publishing the new iweb site (so we could have control over changes - last one was not an apple based site) but new site name is attached to old via a forward slash and underscore after our www address. Makes it very messy with a very long web address. Original address now followed by iweb site name followed by name of first page? Went for iweb as not that computer literate - all going so well?! Well yes of course, if you try and publish through iWeb there won't be an option to publish without your site folder which is exactly why I told you to download Cyberduck and use Cyberduck to upload your site to your server having published your site from iWeb to a local folder. That is what you need to do if you don't want your site name to be included in yoru url.
It would have been easier also if you had used Cyberduck initially to connect to your server and delete your old site yourself - at least that way you would have deleted the correct files rather than relying on your hosting service to do it and doing it incorrectly.
Download Cyberduck and then select the publish to a local folder option from iWeb and then use Cyberduck to upload your site to your server, but rather than uploading the whole site folder and separate index file, upload ONLY the contents of your site folder and then your url will be http://www.domain.com/page_name.html.
It really isn't rocket science!

OLd iWeb site keeps showing up...

I have published my site to replace the old one.
When I visit the site in Safari, the old site shows up.
I have cleared my cache
I have used iDisk and deleted all the folders and files under the iWeb folder
I then republish the new site
I visit the site in Safari
The old site shows up!
The only thing that seesm to work is when the old site is displayed in Safari, I type a "?" and refresh and I get my new page.
Does it take some time for the Mac servers to somehow deliver the new pages? The old pages are not in my iWeb app, or on the iDisk?

You can empty the Safari cache but you have no control over what is served by your ISP.
Placing a ? at the end of the URL in the Address window should "force" a fresh page.

Old site keeps showing up in Google search

The Problem:
I was using iWeb to host my website a year ago, but have since moved to HostGator. I never had a personalized domain name attached to the iWeb site, and I dont remember verifying the site with google, but for some reason the old site always shows up when I google my name instead of the new Hostgator site I just registered with google.
What I want to do:
I just want to disable the old site that is no longer in use. It's unfinished, and unprofessional, and I do not want it popping up in search results where my new hostgator site should be popping up.
Any suggestions?

Publish New Site - Mobile Me Log In Error....

I'm just trying to publish a new site created in iWeb via my MBP to MobileMe, however when I try and publish the site, it asks me to sign in (or sign up to Mobile Me). When I select sign in, it takes me to the system preferences/mobileme and it shows me that I am already logged in.
When I go back to iWeb and try to publish the site, it again asks me to sign in.
Anyone have any ideas on this one ?

First, please make sure you have quit out of iWeb. Then I would suggest resetting your MobileMe System Preferences. To do this, open the MobileMe System Preference, sign out, and enter a random set of letters and numbers for the MobileMe member name and password, then press the Return key. After you receive notice that the name or password is invalid, close System Preferences, reopen the MobileMe System Preference, and reenter your MobileMe member name (without the "@me.com") and password. Then open up iWeb again and re-publish your site again.

Publish new site

Hello,
I created a site with iWeb one month ago using apache server,the one the OS X has.Because I have a dynamic IP,I use the dyndns service.I created a new site and the files are stored in the 'Sites' folder.My problem is that the old site is still published and I don't know why. Do I have to delete something ? The only files in the 'Sites' folder are the new ones.

Can't publish my site; keep getting 'Disk Error'

Hi!
After bringing my original site into '08, I can publish the site. Then if I change anything on my blog page or add entry, I get a variety of results. Sometimes it will publish and sometimes I get the message "Disk Error". I've tried starting from my '06 file, updating it and still eventually get this same message. I have run the Disk Utility, pitched the pref file, run Tech Tool Pro and defragged and optimized the hard drive. And then, tried starting from scratch again without being able to publish. I realize that my file is probably damaged, but I want to make sure there is nothing I can do before starting all over on the website since it is large with lots of pix, movies and blogs.

I want to keep the URL for the second website exactly as it is because I have forwarding set up with a host other than dotMac. How should I go about setting up a new site?

Menu buttons won't work after publishing iWeb site

Once i publish my site from iWeb and then go online to check the site, i try to navigate through my new site's pages by clicking each of the menu buttons at the top of the page. After I click one and the page changes, the menu buttons stop working and I can no longer navigate the site.
Any thoughts?

The Actor page still has some graphc/object partially overlapping those two links in the navbar. You can see it by going to that page and typing Command +A (select all). I couldn't determine which graphic file it was from the Activity window.
You may have to create a second actor page and copy and paste each item, one at a time to from the old to the new and publish to see if you can isolate the culprit.

I can't publish my site Keep getting message 'shapeimage_2_link_1.png'

I keep getting the message "Can’t create the file “shapeimage2_link1.png.” The disk may be damaged, full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges." when ever I publush. What am I doing wrong? has this happened to anyone else? Please help.

Hyperlink is not working after publishing my site!

I can fully activate my newly added page on my iweb site with no problem. I created a button and hyperlinked it to the newly created page. After I publish my site, the new button is NOT clickable. I created a new photo gallery page. I already have 1 photo page so when I clicked on that page, at the very top I am seeing a clickable link that will lead me to my newly created page. THIS IS NOT HOW I HAVE IT SET UP THOUGH! I have a button on my home page that if clicked, it will take you right to the new page! I tested it and it works! I go and publish my site and all the sudden it does NOT work!!! Anybody have a clue why this is?

Turn on DB logging and see what the syntax is that CR tries to send to the Server. You can also enable crlogger ( search for this and you'll find a KBA on how to enable or DB logging component )
First guess is the Date format is wrong, typically is the cause. try removing the date from the SQL and see if that works. Then try to add the selection formula in CR Designer and look at the SQL being generated
Can be specific because you did not mention what DB you are using.
