After purging the data..is need to rebuild the index?

Hi All,
In our production DB,Application level incidents Purging got finished.(Mean first 3 years data got purged,which is not usable by client.This is done for performance issue)
Now in this situation,Is necessary to rebuild the index?
Before that FYI,
oracle 9i(Enterprise Edition)
hp-ux b11
dbsize=30G
Application:
tool:HP-ov

You said you did the purge for 'performance issue' and now, after the purge, you still don't know if your performance issue went away?
If you no longer have whatever (unknown to us since you didn't post it) 'performance issue' you had then why do you need to do anything?
If you do still have a performance issue then you need to follow the same steps you should follow whenever you have a performance issue:
1. validate that you REALLY have an issue
2. determine the cause of the issue
3. identify solutions to mitigate/eliminate the issue
4. test one or two of the possible solutions
5. implement your 'best' tested solution from step #4
6. go back to step #1
Based on what you posted it sounds like you implemented a 'purge' without really knowing that it was even necessary or was even causing a performance issue.
And you make no mention at all of whether you recollected statistics after the purge was done.

No. If there was a way of getting hold of the password, it wouldn't be much of a security system, would it? The backup is lost if you can't remember.

Hi, I'm a bit of newbie to Mac's... I am trying to work out why a copy of Entourage 2008 I have wont install... I have posted on the Mactopia forums but with no success, so I thought I would try here, as I am not sure if it is an Entourage/Microsoft issue or a Mac OS issue. Every time I try to install my downloaded e2008.iso (came with my Exchange server rental) I get the following error: "Install Failed. The installer could not locate the data it needed to install the software. Check your install media or internet connection and try again or contact the software manufacturer for assistance". I am assured that the download I have is complete and 'verified'. When I double click the .iso file, it mounts and then opens - i then click through 'Office Installer_mpkg / contents / distribution.dist to begin the install. If anyone has any advice on what I might be doing wrong I would appreciate it! Thanks.

Thanks - it is reputable (should be...) as it is from the company i get my exchange server rental through, part of the 'package' is a download of entourage or outlook. Unfortunately they do not offer very good mac support... Have gone back to them to make it their problem! thanks all the same.

You can select the Payment Term at PO Header Level.
When you book an invoice, that Payment Term will automatically defaulted to Invoice.
You can define Payment Term in AP.
Payment terms have one or more payment terms lines, each of which creates one scheduled payment. Each payment terms line and each corresponding scheduled payment has a due date or a discount date based on either a specific day of a month, such as the 15th of the month, or a number of days added to your terms date, such as 14 days after the terms date.

I have added extra field to the COPA data soruce (1_CO_PA_XXX) and written CMOD code to populate the data. But I am not able to see the newly added field while trying to fill the data through RSA3.
1. Why am I not able to see the newly added field.
2. Do i need to rebuild the operating concern once again? If yes, Do i need to resbuilt in every system or can it be transported?
3. I am also seeing another data source (1_co_pa_xxx_oc). What's the difference between data sources 1_CO_PA_XXX and 1_co_pa_xxx_oc?

When you're doing a test extraction in RSA3, is the column there but with no data or is the column not even showing up (you may have to right-click on the columns and click on Show... to get the new column to show in RSA3)? Try deugging the 1_CO_PA_XXX DataSource in RSA3 on your R3/ECC source system to determine why the code in CMOD isn't being invoked, or not providing the data. We have been able to modify our 1_CO_PAXXX DataSource by enhancing the extraction structure with an append and then creating code in CMOD, so you shouldn't have to recreate it.
As for the 1_CO_PA_XXX_CO DataSource, it appears that someone has created a second COPA DataSource. It could be that one was created opposite of the 1_CO_PA_XXX DataSource in that it's account-based v. cost-based or it could be the same basis with different fields.

Still it could not find the data network.it searches for voice network instantly and works too. but even full voice network available, there is no data network.when i restart the phone it could find data network.

Locked how? If it's passcode locked and you don't know the passcode, you don't have any choice but to restore it.

Using my PC Desktop I am trying to convert a PDF file to excel. When the data is imported to Excel the majority of the data is vertical in the far left colum.

I am trying to import a PDF file from my desktop PC in to Excel using XI Pro. When the data imports in to excel, the majority of the data is vertical along the far left comumn instead of horizonal along the colums such as name, address, etc. I need to be able to import the data in to the horizonal categories so I can categorize the data after it is in excel. I'm sorry to hear that your file didn't convert well for you. Can you please tell me more about the PDF that you're trying to convert? Do you know how it was created? The quality of a conversion depends on the quality of the PDF, and it sounds like the file you have may not include the tagging information that is required to convert that properly into an Excel file. How can i convert the data from mutiple-table to the other database such as MS-SQL?
I have a third party system based on MS-SQL 2000.
Now we want to make a integration between SAP R/3(Oracle) and SQL server.
When my user releases the purchase order in R/3, the application we coded will convert the releated data to the temp database on the SQL server.
But i don't know which tools will help me reach the purpose. BAPI, LSMW, IDoc... ???
Would anybody tell me which way is better and how to do?

The question to use which method depend on your detail requirements. If you use BAPI, you need to find which Bapi can provide the data you want. Bapi normally use as a function called by external system. So you need to develop an external program like VB/Java to call this Bapi and move it to SQL. LSMW is use when you want to upload data from an external system to SAP. So it does not serve your requirement. Idoc can be use to export data to an external system. Again like Bapi, you need to find what Idoc can provide the data you want. However, it does not any programming from the external system. If I were you, based on your requirements, I think writing an Abap program that read the data you want and download it to NT/SQL server will be faster and easier.

my update to 10.3.1.1565 messed the handwriting input up on my phone. so I tried to downgrade to 10.2.1, upon doing so all my files were wiped, however I thought I was being smart by doing a complete backup this morning while running 10.3.1.1565 prior to attempting the os downgrade to 10.2.1 using BlackBerry Link,
Anyway I had to restore my device back to 10.3.1.1565 and now when I attempt to do a restore using the .bbb ( backup ) which I created earlier on today i.e getting the following error message:

the software versions on my phone now and the software version when I did my backup are exactly the same 10.3.1.1565. I'm able to restore my user files and apps ect, as it offers to do a partial restore,., but my contacts, and remember files are now gone. I NEED THESE. how do I get these back..

I figured it out. so I figured I would post. Apparently BlackBerry pulled the 10.3.1.1565 update. anway not sure what happened butI ended up usng Shenshi and grabbing an update from a different carrier, upon doing so I am now able to do a complete restore using my old BBB file,

We are trying to load several Excel files into SQL Server SSIS and we need to save the data in the database in the same order as it is in Excel..
My question is, Does SSIS guarantee that it loads the data into SQL Server in the same order as it is in Excel. If so, we will add a sequence to ensure we have the order.

If it is one file then we can add an index column, but we have to load hundreds of files.
How adding an index/key column to the table works unless SSIS picks and loads the data in the table in the same order as it is in Excel?
Just to explain my question better,
If excel has three rows {a,b},{c,d},{e,f}, does SSIS ensure it loads the data in the same order in a table.

Open the program of that standard transaction in object navigator or SE80..
Then click on the dictionary structures tab..
U can find the database tables used in this transaction..

While I agree with the direction of the suggestions with installing packages for X-windows, we do not have a blanket 'apply any package' recommendation.
In particular we do not support altering the kernel (although we do have exceptions which we review on a case by case basis).
Basically, if the you want to alter functionality that would not impact core functionality you are usually fine.
A good guideling is : The more dependencies that there are between the package / rpm you are considering using the higher the potential impact on functionality - meaning higher chance for problems
Note: We do use VNC including Real and Tiger regularly , but we have no hard recommendation on how you may want to use X-windows. I have never seen a limitation other than comments on bugs
or incompatibility within the X-window product itself with certain kernel levels.
Patching may overwrite some packages that you may install, however, _depending on packages/rpms added_ there is also the possibility that you will break existing functionality to the point
that patching itself will fail ( we have already seen a few cases of this in which case the proper mitigation is to remove / roll-back any alterations to the ODA before patching, and then adding the packages/rpms
back after the patching is completed.
From what you are discussing the impact should be low without conflicts, but please consider the above, and if you have specific packages which you consider potential problems
please create an SR so that we can review packages / rpms on an individual basis.
Once again: the main criteria for not supporting rpms is regarding the kernel itself

I have a very rare issue with flash player.
First some information:
I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit, and the latest Mozilla Firefox.
When I want to wath a movie on Facebook, ik keep getting the message 'Upgrade needed for Flash player. To view this, you need to download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player'
I already did this like a thousand times..
I also first used the uninstaller, than installed it again, but I keep getting the message. I have the same problem with IE also.
Hope you can help me.

Thanks. Using IE go to Tools>Manage add ons and find Shockwave Flash Object..ActiveX Control..Flash10e.ocx and make sure it is enabled.
Do the same thing using FF and look in plug-ins for SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is enabled.
I would also check a few other sites as it could be this is isolated to Facebook.

click and hold on one cell, then drag to select the range, then release, then type the delete key. Only inlude cells in the range you do not want to keey the contents of the cell. You can remove one-off cells by holding the command key and clicking cells to add or remove as needed.
