After rearranging icons on Springboard, some icons are blank

I moved several apps to different locations or pages. When I turned on the phone this morning, most of the app icons are blank. I resynced with iTunes but now both iTunes and the iPhone are showing blank icons. How do I get the icons back?

I unchecked all additional apps on the iPhone from the iTunes app tab and then resynced to remove the apps from the device. I then checked the apps again and resynced. The icons were no longer blank on the iPhone Springboard but were no longer arranged on the pages I had moved them to. I'll live with this solution until someone else posts a reply.

Yes, it doesn't work. I ran in safe mode. nothing changed. I uninstalled Mozilla firefox with only standard removal, no change. I finally uninstalled Mozilla with complete removal and reinstalled it, then it return to normal. Why does this happen? Thanks for your reply.

InDesign Icons are Blank in MacOs10.10.3

On my MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2009--2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)
I have uninstalled CS6 and CC14, reinstalled CC14 and still all my InDesign file icons are blank. I can use Get Info and past the icon from a file that still has one, but nothing else has worked. The InDesign install is from a package and initially it did sync with the admin account (not mine) and I think that is when the problem started. On the uninstall, I checked uninstall preferences and On the second install, I made sure Sync Settings is turned off. Anything I can do?

What do you mean with the install is from a package?
Did you install it from the original installer, which is the only way to install any Adobe Program or do you mean with package some kind from migration?

Try a reset Carole ...
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

If you are having issues with your icons on your iPad's screen, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

Upgraded iPhone to install iCloud, now icons are blank white boxes

I have been a MobileMe user for 4 years. Since Apple will no longer support MobileMe, I decided to join iCloud. I upgraded my Mac to Lion, no problem. But when I went to upgrade my phone's ios, a dozen of my app icons went blank white. The titles are still there; the apps appear to be working, but the screeen sure looks strange with all these white squares. How can I restore the icon pictorial?

Start with a simple Reset:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).
A new sync with iTunes might also be a good idea.

Some Photos are blank after conversion from Aperture

Library contains 45K photos .. migrated from Aperture. For some reason a large number of the photos have meta data but are blank. Where have they gone?

Partial CLUE ..
Two photos .. appear to be dupes .. but the case of the file NAME is different. The UPPERCASE JPG is blank .. the lowercase .jpg is not.

Ads appear normal but photos and other images, like the calculator in the yahoo home page or news photos are blank squares. The imac G5 is new. It has a 2.16 GHx processor. It worked normal then developed this problem after a fooled around with the mouse settings. Anybody know how to get the images to appear? If I open the image in another window it appears.

I have experienced similar problems; i.e., Quicktime logo with a question mark displayed in place of frame content or simply blank. Experience varies by webpage.
Go to /Safari/Preferences/Security. You will see 4 choices under Web Content. From experimentation it appears that for website optimized for Explorer, un-checking "Enable JavaScript" will fix the problem but on other websites; e.g., Apple sites, this will disable some links. In other cases leaving JavaScript active and un-checking Enable plug-ins has the opposite effect.
Appears to be a bug in Safari - 10.5 compatibility. Under 10.4 you can try moving QuickTime Plugin.plugin to the desktop from /Library/Internet Plug-ins.

After upgrade to iOS5, 1/3 of app icons are blank.

The buttons with title are there but no logo picture.

Maybe delete the app and reload it from your backup?
BTW, did you run a general app update after upgrading to iOS5? I ask because I had about a dozen or so app updates available around the time that iOS5 came out. Worth checking in the app store.

Desktop Icons are blank after upgrade

Has anyone else noticed that in lion your alias links sometimes show as clear squares? Mine has almost daily. If you click on them and move them the blue folder is back.. Its bother some but not an issue. If you have seen this can it be fixed?

Same thing happening here on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro 15. I don't recall this being a problem at all in Snow Leopard. Hope the 10.7.2 update fixes the problem.

Just installed firefox updates today and now several icons are not showing up. The link works but the icons are blank. Especially annoying when needed on certain sites like eBay.

Why are the icons not working? I depend on the icons on several sites to tell me the status of orders etc. and with them not working now, I am in a jam. I dread the thought of going back to Explorer.

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

After update to IOS 7x some apps are crashing a lot & system Reboots!

After installing IOS 7.1.1 on 1 x iPhone 4 16GB, 3x iPhone 4s 64GB and 1 iPad mini 64GB, Apps started crashing which worked well on IOS 5.5 & IOS 6. After Updating to IOS 7, the problems started. Some of my favourite games like "Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies"and Avengers Initiative keep crashing at the start. "Call Of Duty" reported Low Memory even though I turned off Background App Refresh, Re-downloaded the Apps, performed full system reboot, enabled "Reduce Motion", enabled "Increase Contrast" and still no luck. I have also deleted many of my Apps to free up storage space but still no improvement. Other problems major problems are that the screen freezes and Apps become unresponsive requiring a full system reboot. This happens very often and also when trying to update or download Apps the system crashes and often Reboots itself. I believe the main problem is with low memory because I ran an App called "Battery Doctor" which shows that 82% of the 512MB RAM is already been used before any Apps have even been started leaving only 89MB of free RAM which is hardly enough to run decent Games on. There are many occasions when FaceTime wouldn't allow Sign In and in iTunes Apps would revert to how they were after applying changes. When adding Contacts, changes would often revert back. Also I have noticed that the iPhone sometimes would display the wrong amount of free Storage space and it would sometimes show like 5GB available and then go to 0MB available and cause crashes during downloads. Another problem I found was that when Apps start up, a white patch shows on the screen temporarily which wasn't apparent before IOS 7x. When adding contacts I noticed that with "Increase Contrast" disabled, some of the entries added did not display while typing with the keyboard and the text was greyed out making it difficult to read what you are typing. Now I wish that I had not updated to IOS 7 as suggested because it has messed up my £700 iPhones and I don't see a way of downgrading without Jailbreaking making my phones worthless. We are very very upset and disappointed because we paid so much money for the devices and have not had them long. We do not want to buy a newer device just because of the update messing up our phones. Also I do not want to try and restore from a previous backup because the last few times I've tried and it does not restore everything. It is very time consuming and I am too ill to go through all that again on each device. Also I believe the restore does not give me the choice of going back to IOS 5.5 or IOS 6. Therefore if Apple could give the opportunity to update to IOS 5.5 or IOS 6 for older devices and have a separate update for IPhone 5s which have a faster processor and double RAM (1GB) then I would be very grateful. I would also like to add the fact that IOS 7.x.x drains the battery very quickly. After reading the many complaints about IOS 7 update & my personal experience, I now regret updating and also fear that future updates may render my iPhones useless. I bought my iPhone 4s direct from Apple and paid a premium for Factory Unlocked iPhones. I think the iPhones may now be out of warranty and are very unhappy with this situation. Please, please please could you send a fix in another update!

Actually DIESEL they do force you to update. my wife has not update hers yet to ios6 and none of the apps work at full tilt anymore because they are all updated for ios 6....Apple is now making you either update(and ruin your iphone 4s) or buy the new iphone 5(which i doubt will have any of the problems people with iphone 4s are having).
Since updating my 4s i have lost signal, data has been very low at best. i can not access any apps or they open up and do not refresh. I use to have 4bars at my work and now i have 1.

Mail's icons are blank and preferences won't open

I have thrown away the plist file from my library but the problem persists.
I can function without the icons showing up in the buttons above the message window, but not being able to access privileges is difficult.

Currently in Mail 3.x, there is an oval in the upper right of the Mail window, but in the Preferences window, there is not.
Let's do a test: Create a New User Account, and as that New User launch Mail and try setting up one email account (if POP select to leave messages on the server after download. See the following if not familiar with adding a new user account:

The reason for doing this is to test the Mail app itself, and not to permanently switch to a new user account. Tell me if after setting up one email account, and requesting the Preferences pane, the behavior continues in that New User Account?

After ApplyMRD Report Rows on some clients are not refreshed

hi all,
i've come across an issue regearding mr delete on some clients using ie for acess to an apex application.
a report displays a number of rows of a single table.
the user is able to check some rows.
a special button branches to an url "javascript:confirmDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'MULTI_ROW_DELETE');"a standard mrd process, using table pk, deletes the checked rows.
most of the clients work fine.
on some clients the deleted rows still appear in the report. the shown data will not be refreshed untill user logs out and logs in to the application.
i double checked that the rows are physically deleted from the table.
any idea if this is an ms ie issue and whch option has to be changed?
and no, customer can't switch to ff because of administrative policy.

That could happen if region or page caching is enabled. If yes, disable it by setting it to never.
