After reboot of rhes 3, infrastructure process were all stopped
Hi,
i've successfully installed the oracle infrastructure. it's all working until i reboot my rhes3 server, all the opmnctl ias-component are stopped/NONE and did not start automatically.
how can i configure the oracle infrastructure to start automatically after reboot?
dcm-daemon, oid, oc4j were all stopped and i couldn't restart it either.
thanks.
....or write your own script to start all services each time you reboot......
ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl start/stop/status iasconsole will start/stop/provide status of the EM console -
ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startall/stopall/status will start/stop/give status of all opmn processes.
Also this is in the wrong forum - try posting this in the Application Server forum.

HT1349 after i update for IOS5 my pics were all gone
after i update for IOS5 my pics and application were all gone and i can only restore to the previous data as Nov.2011....How can i get my data back ?>
You most likely can't get the pics back.
But I have a good idea as to how it happened, and you can prevent it from happening again.
I presume you updated through iTunes. During the update, your phone displays a progress bar. Once this progress bar fills up and the device comes on, you probably unplugged it. However, at this point in the update process, iTunes still needs to restore your music, apps, etc., and photos. You can check the progress in iTunes, as it should read "Restoring apps..." or "Restoring photos...," something like that, and only unplug the phone when iTunes says the update is complete. -
When I try to download, I get a message that says that my computer must be rebooted to finish uninstalling a previous version of Firefox. After rebooting and going through the process again, the Install Wizard gives me the same message. I get the same message every time. What do I do?
Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 8.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

I have just had my macbook pro rebooted and am in the process reinstalling all of my applications. I have reinstallled Creative Cloud and have been able to install all my usual apps EXCEPT Adobe Story. It does not even show on the list of apps. I'm trying to download it directly from adobe.com but the the loading bar keeps going and nothing is happening. How can I solve this?
Hi,
Can you please try upgrading the flash player?
You can get the latest one from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer -
When rebooting mac, I closed all firefox windows by clicking the cancel "x" and then clicked "close tabs". After rebooting I could not recover my open tabs, as none of the options were highlighted under History , i.e. Recently Closed Tabs or Recently Closed Windows.
We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
#Copy the '''5''' most recent Report IDs that start with '''bp-''' and then go back to your forum question and paste that into the "Post a Reply" box. I tried to send photos on aol through mac mail. The email did not sent, but I keep getting recovered messages despite rebooting. I don't know how to stop it.
An AOL account is normally set up as an IMAP account -- have you been using it in Mail? If not, open Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced and choose such that copies of messages and their attachments are not kept. I am suggesting this as you may be downloading previous messages upon connection.

Lion takes 15 seconds to log in after reboot on Macbook Pro 13" (early 2011)
I have been having sluggish performance (repeated beachballs, etc.) on my Macbook Pro 13-inch (2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB RAM), which I bought this summer pre-installed with Lion.
I didn't migrate my old system, I just installed everything on my new machine. After about 9 years of OS X upgrades on various machines, I decided to start fresh and just installed my applications and transferred the data manually. It took some time, but I wanted it lean and clean.
Within weeks though, things were starting to slow down. This morning, it took over 15 seconds after reboot before I could even log in to my user account (I clicked on the icon for my account, and after 4-5 seconds it beachballed for 10 seconds before the field for the password "slid" into place).
I've tried checking and unchecking having Lion restore my previous session before rebooting; closing all applications before restarting; not closing applications before restarting. But consistently, right after logging in for several minutes, and then after several hours of use (and/or the next day, if I put my laptop to sleep instead of shutting it down) opening, saving documents, viewing mailboxes after opening Mail, or even viewing folder contents in the Finder can take from several to 30+ seconds.
Here is the log from my most recent boot. I have Dropbox, LogMeIn, Default Folder, and Growl (the pre-App Store version), and I have Parallels (which I very rarely use), but I don't see why any of these would slow down my machine before I even log in. Besides this, I have pretty standard fair applications. I would very much appreciate any help/advice!

06/12/11 03:05:15,347 Microsoft Outlook: CFURLCreateWithBytes wAfter biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it. -
Alright, so I've tried what feels like everything. First off, I am troubleshooting for WINDOWS 7.
After I reboot, the computer functions relatively fine. Great latency, no choppyness, no matter what I do. About two to three days later, it gets incredibly bad. Specifically when browsing the internet using any browser. The audio becomes terribly choppy
as the mouse lags across the screen. Running LatencyMon, I see tcpip.sys is always at the top. This issue only seems to happen the most when internet activity usage is high. Also, ndis.sys is always up there too, as well as NETIO.SYS
Any help would be so greatly appreciated!! I run a small web server from this PC, so this is quite critical for me. It never used to happen until I recently began getting Pool_corruption blue screens, later to be discovered they were caused by my GIGABYTE
motherboards utility driver files, which I took care of.
I haven't really made any changes to my PC, besides several driver updates in attempt to resolve this. I have since updated my BIOS to the latest version. I even tried using Auslogics Boost Speed to improve the TCP settings based on on my 50mbps internet
speed. Nothing clears the lag, but a reboot, which is temporary. I used to run this PC for up to two weeks before I rebooted, no issues.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES
The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the
signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.

REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS
Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted
and blocked from execution.
NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

While I am waiting for the issue to start up again, I'd just like to cover some things you mentioned in your post. :)
I only updated the bios because I was originally experiencing these issues. It was a method to hopefully resolve them, which did not work. I was very careful, and the process was a success. I updated to the most recent recommended driver for my motherboard
from the manufacturers.
As for Auslogics Boost Speed, it is not running on my computer, as it is a piece of software I only have used to clean junk files (cache/temp) for a very long time now with no issue. I have also tried updating all of my drivers with success, however that
did not solve the issue either. I even rolled back my network card driver just in case with no luck.
I have not thought of disabling my audio driver yet, being how it effects far more than just my audio when it happens. My mouse is jittery/laggy as well when no sound is playing. But other tests have shown that it may be a network issue. Next time it happens
I'll temporary disable my network drivers to see if that causes the issue to clear up.
I will be sure to mark answers which help appropriately. Thanks again! I should return with the information requested from Zigzag's wiki within 2 days of on-time, when this happens again. -

However, during my wait for your supervisor, just when I stepped away from my desk for a moment you must have picked up your phone again. When I heard a noise (other than the hold music) I rushed back to my desk only to hear you hang up. When the phone rang and the ANI said "Apple support" I tried to pick up but you were gone by the time I got the button pressed.

MSI K9A2GM - RealTek Randomly Installs After Reboot
Someone here must've experienced this, I have an MSI K9A2GM and first let me say it's abit sad. The VGA slot feels very weak and like it would break right off if I pushed hard enough, it's only held on by some weird thin wires that connect to the PCB, pretty bizarre design if you ask me. Then the HDMI port really seems like it's weak, I mean I bought an adapter for DVI-HDMI but it's rather large so adds weight, I sure wouldn't wanna keep that baby plugged in for any length of time it'd probably weigh down that HDMI port and snap it right off! But regardless of these issues I have one more pressing:
I've noticed that when I reboot the RealTek Audio drivers sometimes randomly reinstall themselves. It's basically like Vista is detecting the onboard audio as if it were never installed in the first place. Now do you think it's a problem with Vista or with the motherboard itself? I've no idea how to tell and I did a burn-in test using Sisoft Sandra which basically the system remained stable for 2 days. It's only after rebooting sometimes that this occurs :/
I mean ugh, it's weird huh? Imagine installing the drivers then some reboots later finding they're being reinstalled for no real reason you know of :S Vista says it detected new hardware.... so which is the culprit?
I downloaded the newest ones off RealTek but am almost positive this'll continue to happen until I find out what the real reason behind it is.Pictures below
As you'll see the connections for the VGA and HDMI are really not that great. I mean listen if you mount this mobo in a case then install a DVI-HDMI adapter just how long do you reckon the port would hold up to that kinda weight? But even with that look at the VGA, it's suspended in air an if you see it's done with
wires of some sort. The thin wires allow it to move but when it moves you can see the base connection slightly change as it's pushed. I mean come on now what is this 3rd grade? My friend has a PC mobo that's gotta be hundreds of years old but his VGA connection has held up to anything he's done. I can imagine a gamer taking his new rig somewhere with a LAN boy case, then he'll goto plug in the VGA adapter and push a little to hard, bam those back wires snap or heck the things base connection just snaps right off. I mean give me a break! -
Space bar leaves ghost spaces after reboot???
This is STRANGE.
Not sure if this is the right forum thread.
I have a USB Apple Keyboard (aluminum) I bought in March 2009 for my MBP 15" (C2D, late 2006, 2.33MhZ). It has worked fabulously (I had to get used to it; I used to like the MBP keyboard for typing, but now I hate it!). Suddenly today, the *space bar* on the USB kb just doesn't work anymore. I typed in Safari, Nisus Writer Pro, but the space bar on the USB kb will not work (all other keys work, and the spacebar on my MBP works). When I fixed permissions (the keyboard is immaculately clean), and rebooted, nada. When I tried to reset the PRAM (googled), nada. However, right after reboot, when I opened safari, and clicked in the search field, *all the spaces I tried to type BEFORE the reboot appeared*! Like a player piano, the spaces were being typed out, the spaces that I *had already typed*—but which never appeared—until now, AFTER the reboot. I can stop it by hitting any other key,
I can repeat this strange behavior. Does anyone have ANY advice on this?
I have latest snow leopard 10.6.1, 3g RAM (4 in slots).
Thank you, Richard
UPDATE: It actually seems like there is something LAYING on the space bar instead. I tried to type 5 spaces, but when I rebooted, the spaces kept being typed for about 30 seconds, and then stopped. There is nothing on the space bar, however.
Message was edited by: rvdparisdandyActually, now it's also some other keys plus the shift key. Shift-V doesn't work, neither does Shift-Left Curly Bracket.
There is something really wrong!
Off to apple store equivalent (no Apple store yet in Paris)
thanks, and if anyone has any other advice

2011 MBP (10.8.4) freezes exactly one hour after reboot
Hello,
I'm having an issue identical to this poster insofar as I can tell, but some test results are different for me. Exactly one hour after rebooting or starting the computer, applications become unresponsive, video stops playing, then a little while later sound stops playing, and the cursor becomes a beachball if interacting with an application. Some windows can still be dragged or brought to the front of the screen for a short time. Eventually everything (except sometimes the cursor) is frozen and the machine never recovers from this state (for at least 15 minutes, I haven't let it go longer).
Most of the time this is accompanied by a CPU use spike and the fans spinning up, but not always. I have trawled through the system logs and disabled lots of LaunchAgents to no avail, so let me just list a few things I've tried and their result.
Disabling wifi: no change
Removing RAM one slot at a time: no difference
Memtest: clean results, froze after 1 hour anyway
Apple Hardware test: clean result on extended test, progress *sometimes* halts at the end of the third or fourth pass after the "Main Logic Board" test had finished (during message "Testing in progress... Extended testing in progress").
System console/system.log shows no distinctive output immediately before freeze, unless I'm doing other things like playing audio or using the internet in which case the wifi interface has activity or CoreAudio turns outputs on, but this is different every time it crashes. I did find that GoogleSoftwareUpdate was implicated in one of the console logs, so I disabled and uninstalled that without effect. I recently started using Time Machine on an external drive, so I disabled that and removed the drive I'd selected from Time Machine preferences - no improvement.
While watching Activity Monitor during one freeze, I saw that cprefsd (root) had spiked to 260% CPU usage, fseventsd (root) to 128%, and several other processes to 100% (UserEventAgent, cprefsd, iTunes Helper, and apsd (root)). Everything else was at 1%.
Symptomatically, this appears to be a software issue (not an instant crash, elevated CPU usage, regular timed interval), but I've been unable to isolate the cause. I strongly suspect Time Machine is responsible (fseventsd is linked to it) but having disabled it in System Preferences I'm not sure if it should be eliminated. Alternately I believe this may be symptomatic of logic board, memory controller, or graphics card failure, but am at a loss to explain the regular (non-random, non-usage-dependent) occurrence. I performed the syslog test prescribed by Linc Davis in this thread and found only regular shutdown codes, so that also seems to point to software issues.

This morning I tried leaving the computer on in Safe Boot mode and the freeze occurred on schedule, with the windows becoming unresponsive at 60 minutes in, and the the beachball appearing as soon as I moved the cursor.
If I can get a full backup sorted (only essential stuff is cloned right now), I'll try a clean install of OS X from the recovery partition to see if it nixes whatever process is at fault. I have an appointment with the Genius Bar tomorrow evening, but if this is really a software problem then I'm not sure how they can help (except to replace it at cost). Are there any other tests or fixes I can try? What's the likely prognosis?
Thanks a lot for your help.Apple replaced the logic board and the fix and it didn't fix the problem. To their credit, they refunded the repair fee. I ended up tracing the issue to a third-party drive I'd bought from NewEgg, a Crucial M4 SSD, which had a very peculiar firmware bug:
Correct a condition where an incorrect response to a SMART counter will cause the m4 drive to become unresponsive after 5184 hours of Power-on time. The drive will recover after a power cycle, however, this failure will repeat once per hour after reaching this point.
I would have probably gotten the update notice had I purchased direct from Crucial (or had it come pre-installed if I'd bought it a month later). If you have a similar issue, check your drive firmware! -
Oracle SSO not showing up status after rebooting the 10gapplication server
Hi all,
I installed 10g R2 10.1.2.0.2 application server RHEL AS 4.0 2.6.9-11 kernel.
After the successful installation IM and MR and MT (BI). All the components in the MT and infrastructure was showing up status. After rebooting the machine i executed the following commands
For Infrastructure
1. To make the metadata repository up and running
Log in as an oracle user
#cd /home/oraASInfra/bin
#export ORACLE_HOME=/home/oraASInfra
#export ORACLE_SID=mamcinfr
#./lsnrctl start
#./sqlplus
Enter userame: sys as sysdba
Sql>startup
Sql>Exit
2. To start the other components of the infrastructure
Log in as an oracle user
#cd /home/oraASInfra/opmn/bin
#./opmnctl startall
3. To start the iasconsole
#cd /home/oraASInfra/bin
#./emctl start iasconsole
For Middle tier
1. To start the middle tier components
Log in as an oracle user
#cd /home/oraASmt/opmn/bin
#./opmnctl startall
2. To start the iasconsole
#./emctl start iasconsole
In the MT all the components is showing up status
In the Infrastructure except oracle sso OID , HTTP server and OC4J security is showing up status.
There is no any port conflicts between the infrastructure and MT.
Is there any post installation tasks has to be done after the installation?
please help me to sort out the issue.
thanks,
C Saju1. After RapidWiz with 11.5.10.2 CDs, do we need to
do any post installation step to make the browser
load Oracle Forms. Do we need to create our own
certificate using envshell.cmd and then adjkey. And,
apply that to Jinitiator using adjbuild.sh and
regenerate JAR files using ADADMIN Jar ( I am so far
assuming that these steps are not necessary after for
rapidwiz install of 11.5.10.2 )Your assumption is right. You do not have to do anything
2. Do I need to apply the Oracle App 11i 11.5.10.2
Maintenance Pack after installing using RapidWiz from
the main set of CDs labeled as 11.5.10.2No
3. Should I try by installing manually latest
Jinitiator 1.3.1.21 or 1.3.1.25You do not have to upgrade your jinitiator version unless you want to go with the latest one.
Since (adsign.txt, appltop.cer, and identitydb.obj) do not exist in your system, you just need to initialize the java certificate as follows:
adjkey -initialize
This will create the following files:
- adsign.txt directory $APPL_TOP/admin
- appltop.cer direcotry $APPL_TOP/admin
- identitydb.obj directory $HOME of the user that launch adjkey
Metalink note: 365735.1 should be helpful.
Good luck -
Mavericks "forgetting" simple settings after reboot
After upgrading to Mavericks I was surprised by the the new wave background image on all my spaces - while it is a lovely picture I use the background as a clue to which space I'm in, so I reset them to my own pictures/images as they were prior to the upgrade.
After rebooting the images returned to the wave on all spaces - huh, that's weird... So I reset them.
I also noticed I had an AppleScript app that wasn't working right and I need to debug, so I turned off the "Open at Login" option for the app and went about my business.
I rebooted again later in the day and once again my desktop images were reset and the AppleScript app was launched at login.
What am I missing that Mavericks is forgetting these customization settings?I was having the same issue with background images. Every time I restarted, back to the waves...
I've since placed in the image in Library>Desktop Pictures and changed the image through preferences. So far it's been holding (fingers crossed). Previously I had been using the Contextual Menu>Services>Set as Background Image to do it.
There is also another way. Navigate to System>Library>CoreServices>DefaultDesktop.jpg.
You'll see it's an alias to the Waves, background. In this case, just create a new alias with the correct privileges and the same name that points to your desired photo. You may have to do this as the root user.
Lot's of trouble for a simple thing, hopefully it gets fixed.

I can't copy or save files to my western digital mybook world edition 1 HDD. I assume it's because it's not formatted correctly. What do I need to do to be able to write to the HDD? I'd love to use it as a backup drive for my iMac.
