After Recent iPOD TOUCH Update, Notes has Disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!!
After I installed the last update, my notes have disappeared. I'm devastated because I had very important things in there... can I retrieve my notes, and why didn't Apple warn of this, I could of emailed them to myself before I did the update. What can I do? This has never happened before... the ability to filter notes into various emails, and choose from each is all gone, with no notice!

ITunes Artwork Screensaver problem - linked to recent iPod Touch update?
Ever since I updated my iPod Touch on Sunday I am having problems with the iTunes Artwork Screensaver. It will only work when I go into system preferences and actually set it up - by changing to another screensaver, then going back to the iTunes artwork screensaver, then adjusting the time, then 'testing' ...and then it will eventually work; but only on 'test'.
When I let the computer just run the screensaver I get the message: "Your iTunes Library does not contain any artwork" - well it does, and by doing the process mentioned above it will work when I press 'test', otherwise it doesn't work.
This is VERY frustrating - I've looked on the discussion boards and no one seems to have a firm solution - certainly the ones I've tried for the past 48 hrs haven't worked.
Also the System Preferences seems to be not working correctly. I have to 'quit' the application completely, and then click on it - to start it up - in order to look at it again following the 'testing' of the iTunes Artwork screensaver.
It was all working fine until I downloaded the update for the iPod Touch two days ago - Can anyone help?

PTI'm having the same problem. The itunes artwork screensaver quit working. I get the same message that my library contains no artwork. Any body else having the problem? Solutions anyone? Apple are you listening? It always worked until about a week ago.

My sont has an ipdat touch 4th generation touch. The camera icon has vanished and he has no way to use it the app is not in the itunes store - can anyone advise ?
Sounds like the Restrictions were set that hides those apps. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and check/change

My Ipod touch 2nd generation has been freezing today. We have updated, restored etc and now it will not play any music - as in no sound coming from it. It looks as if it is playing, but no sound comes out. It played ok 2 days ago. Any suggestions?
So, here is an update to my original question, in case anyone else has this issue. I spoke with a senior adviser at apple, who had me use the "devmgmt.msc" command in the search line of Windows 7; after expanding the USB controllers menu, she had me uninstall/delete the "apple mobile device driver" and then open "control panel" and "uninstall programs." Once the menu of programs was open, she had me highlight the program "apple mobile device controller", then repair it, and restart the computer. This fixed the issue and the iPod synced.
However, just one day ago, when I plugged in both the iPod, then the iPad (not at the same time), I get the message that "this library has already been synced to another iPod/iPad or other IOS device." It then asked if I wanted to set up as a new device or from restore of previous. That is wher I am right now; I am trying to get the same apple adviser again to discuss the case number. More to follow. -
My iPod touch is not connecting to my iCloud account, under iCloud settings it has my old email account and username that I have since updated and are working correctly on my iPad, any idea how I can reset this on the iPod or otherwise? This old account info keeps coming back on my iPod and messing up access to my apple account and now the icloud. last time a system restore needed to be done to fix it....
It won't give me the option to sign out of the old account, it's that light grey color that you can't click on. And since it has the old email address that it's telling me to go into to verify the account, I can't actually change it... I'm stuck

I have a 4th gen. ipod touch. It has software 4.2.1 and itunes always tells me I need to update to ios 6. I always click download and install. After the download is complete, nothing happens. It doesn't install on its own and there is no option to install manually.. Thanks.

Today the volume bar disappeared on my iPod Touch leaving me with no volume control. When I tried to do a restore I got the message "iPod Touch can not be backed up. The file needed can not be found" I'm in a double whammy here. First off has anyone ever got and cured either problem?

If after updating the iOS on your iPod:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

However when i try to update the message comes your iPod touch could not be activated because activation server is temporarily unavailable. If I was in your shoes, I would choose to restore the iPhone with iTunes and then choose to NOT restore a previous backup. I'd then go on to set up the phone as though it were totally new, and choose the stuff to load onto it.
The reason I'd go through that trouble.. even though it meant losing a lot of settings and having to set stuff up again .. is because I wasn't sure I could trust the backup that it's restoring from.
If you have trouble again after doing the fresh reload -- especially if it's soon after you do it -- you may have a hardware issue with the phone, such as faulty flash memory or a processor chip that's failing. If that's the case, you'll want to consider your repair/replacement options at that point. -

Are you sure you have a 2G iPod? A 2G can go to IOS 4.2.1 via:
