After recording a movie, the playback goes to 2X speed.

After completing a New Movie Recording in QuickTime Player 10.0 (114) from an old video tape, the QuickTime movie plays back at 2x speed without being asked to do so. Any ideas on how to get the playback to slow down to 1x? Thanks.

Look carefully in your project for an audio clip or voiceover with a "spin" icon or a yellow triangle with exclamation point like this:
Delete that clip.

You need to do a long-press in any data entry field, then select Paste.

After updating my iOS the display goes white after I end a call or if I get a missed call?

Did you reset your phone like this: Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If that didn't help I suggest having a technician examine your phone. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Sorry to hear about your mishap.
Do you have a backup using desktop manager? If so, your data is in there. Had you recently sync'd with outlook?
Did water get into your BB? If so, place your BB in an open container of UNCOOKED white rice and set in a warm place for a few days. Rice should absorb the water.

My HTC 1 phone is completely charged and after a few calls then battery goes down fast Why?
    HTC One

We certainly want you to get the most out of the device! To confirm is this the HTC One M7 or M8? When checking Settings>Power, what are some of the top apps and processes using battery? The battery is warrantied for one year so it is possible it is past its prime. Only HTC directly would be able to review replacement options of only the battery. I am eager to continue troubleshooting though!

The screen on my ipod nano, 2nd generation, turns black. It stills plays music. I've tried resetting the ipod to clear the black and the screen goes back to it's original state. But after a few minutes the screen turns black again, while the music is still playing. What can I do about this?

    Hi
I dont think your display is faulty.
What happens if you access the BIOS at the beginning?
To access the BIOS press F2 while powering on the unit.
Access the BIOS and keep it running for some minutes and check if the display will turn to white.
Additionally its advisable to connect an external monitor and to output the display to the 2nd screen. If the 2nd screen would not be OK, then the graphic chip might be the troublemaker.

  • Help! After installing 10.7 the finder goes into a 'quit unexpectedly' loop.

Any ideas? I've unplugged all peripherals and deleted all login items. I've seen on other forums that deleting the finder's preferences file in your user library may be a solution on earlier OS versions, but
    a) there no longer appears to be a user library
    b) how can you get to the file (if it's elsewhere) if you can't open finder?
    Help!

Now managed to unhide the user library via the terminal, delete the two finder pref files = no difference...just going to have to create a new user account and import all the docs etc into that via another Mac using remote access...sigh

  • After watching a movie, it always goes back to my desktop.

When a TV show or movie finishes in iTunes on full-screen mode, it always goes back to my desktop instead of my iTunes library. Does anyone know how to change this?

Next time this happens, run Applications/Utilities/Console and see if any error messages are logged.  If so, post them here

  • When I export my movie the quality goes way down

doesn't matter if I export to quicktime, for ipod or anything, the quality always gets really really crummy and turns into like a cell phone video posted on youtube. Is there some way of exporting the video so it retains its quality?

  • When I power up my mac, I see the white screen and the apple icon. After a few seconds of powering up the screen goes dark. Yet I still can the mouse arrow but nothing else.

When I power up my Imac, I see the white screen and the apple icon. After a few seconds the screen goes dark. I am able to still see the mouse arrow as I move it around. But nothing else. What is the problem and how do I recover?

    Try this from another user:
    1. Shut the computer down by holding the power button for 10 seconds
    2. Restart the computer and press shift at the same time until you see the progress bar start moving
    3. Once you reach the point where your screen goes dark and you see the cursor, type the first letter of the username for your computer, then hit Enter, then type your password, then hit Enter.
    4. After a moment, you should see the spinning beach ball
    5. Your screen should then move on to something along the lines of "Completing OSX Installation" (I can't remember the exact wording). Let it finish. After that it should go to your normal desktop and the issue should be fixed. (If your screen goes pitch black during this process, hit the space bar. I thought it wasn't working, but the screen was just sleeping).

I use imovie to create videos. When I burn the video to DVD and play it back there is digital breakup in the playback from the DVD. The digital breakup does not show in playback on the computer. I understand there is a file I need to delete and reboot the computer and imovie will rebuild the file in the program. Help!

My method is to use the DAW in standard recording mode, and set up the camcorder entirely separately.  After recording, I automate the audio mix with fader moves and effects, then export ("bounce to disk") a full-fidelity AIFF, 16-bit 48 kHz stereo file (most videos use 48, not 44.1).  I use iMovie '11 to import the video from the camera, then import the stereo audio file and match it up to the camera audio by dragging it into the iMovie Project.  Make the waveforms visible, it's not too hard to align.
Then, use iMovie's "Export as Quicktime" feature.  Here, by going through the menus and options, you can control the audio compression (for example, 256k instead of 128, although 128 seems to be enough for YouTube).
AppleMan1958 posted a YouTube video about controlling iMovie's export options that may help:
