After reinstalling firefox 4.0.01 I cannot reinstall delicious tag button

4.0.1 was working great. Upgraded to firefox 5. when I tried to log on to many sites firefox would say loading site for an hour or so and never load site. After it stuck on one site no sites would load. Close firefox and try to reload and get message firefox was already running. Task manager could not shut it down so I would have to reboot. I unistalled firefox 5 and reinstalled firefox 4.0.1. Now firefox 4.0.1 is sometimes doing the same thing as 5. before upgrade 4.0.1 was working great. I need to reinstall delicious bookmark extenson for firefox for work. When I go to the website firefox just says loading but never completes. any help would be appreciated. I am limited to IE for most of my internet surfing now because I use my computer for work and cannot be rebooting my computer 10 times a day.

I had the same problem. I'm running 10.5 but on a Motorola chip. The Firefox download page is not clear on OS and machine requirements. To fix the problem, trash the newly installed Firefox 4. Download Firefox 3.6.16 and reinstall. All of your preferences and bookmarks will still be there as they are contained in a different place. Hope this helps.

Cannot download gadgets. I have several but after installing Firefox 3.6.6 I cannot install more gadgets.

Using firefox with yahoo toolbar I cannot access my hotmail button, it locks up my email account, I cannot read/delete emails or log out of account.

I use the yahoo-firefox toolbar that has buttons you can access from the toolbar, mail etc. I have a button for Hotmail it goes to the account but locks up, it will not let me read/delete emails nor log out of my account. I can access it from another laptop that is not running the same versions of firefox/yahoo toolbar.

Last but not least, for the site that has the problem:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can open the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Cannot use my old firefox sync account after reinstalling

After reinstalling firefox I can no longer use my old Firefox Sync account. I am told that there is no such account here https://accounts.firefox.com and I created a new account, with the same e-mail as my old account.
After some research I was able to find this https://account.services.mozilla.com/ in which I can login with my old account.
My problem now is that I want to retrieve the information that I had in my old sync and I can't find any way to do it.
Also, because I was experiencing severe performance problems using firefox, I deleted some folders in my machine related to Firefox (after uninstalling) including what seemed to be the profile location for firefox.
What is really important for me is: How do I retrieve my old Firefox Sync account data or synchronize it with the new Mozilla account?

hello, firefox 29 and upwards is using a different sync system which isn't compatible with accounts set-up in older versions.
in this case you'd probably have to use a workaround and download the prior firefox 28 version, disable automatic updating for the moment (in options > advanced > update), link it to the old sync account (with username, password & recovery key) and upgrade after you have successfully restored your data this way...

Hi, after reinstalling Photoshop PS6 I cannot any longer save smart collections in Bridge. I create a smart collection by entering criteria, but when I click on SAVE, it is not saved. In my old installation (before I had to install a new hard disk), that never was a problem.
I am using Windows 7. Before, I used a hrad disk for the system, now I have a SSD, plus seveal hard disks for data storage.
Can anybody help me with advice what the problem is?

This has happened after uninstalling Firefox, twice and downloading it twice.

Did you check if the Firefox file is in that location?
If it isn't there then do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
If the file is there then do a malware check with some malware scan programs.

As above. I think that the CC cleaner somehow corrupted the startup files/sequence of FFox when it cleared the internet cache. Tried solutions heretofore listed including retrieval of profile. The command is simply not executed in wnd expl.

Cannot sync device after reinstall Windows

Cannot sync device after reinstall Windows 7.
It is fine when transfer from devices to itunes, but cannot transfer from iTunes to devices. Computer is authorize, same apple store login on both itunes and ipad, but it just wouldn't allow me transfer the apps.

Was this installed from the CD or from a download from HP?
With one system working and this one not working, it sounds like an issue with the software than anything else.
