Q. After rendering a movie, my DVD project screen won't display?

Sorry to hear about your mishap.
Do you have a backup using desktop manager? If so, your data is in there. Had you recently sync'd with outlook?
Did water get into your BB? If so, place your BB in an open container of UNCOOKED white rice and set in a warm place for a few days. Rice should absorb the water.

1) Make sure that your project is in the same aspect ratio as your camera. If your camera shoots 16:9. make a 16:9 project.
2) Check the clip inspector for the clip in your project to see if Image Stabilization is turned on. Stabilization works by zooming in, so you may want to turn it off. -
After updating iPhoto to 9.2, Photoshop CS2 doesn't display the photo on the desktop screen, even though the image is shown in the Navigator pallet well to the right.
No, that is the problem. I don't see how it should be, but that is what happened after I did the upgrade, which was for iPhoto 9.2. The upgrade then required that the Library be upgraded. Then CS2 stopped showing the photo when I opened CS2. Maybe there was a system upgrade for the whole system, that went along with 9.2. Before the upgrade CS2 worked. I even tried photos that I had on backup disks, and they wouldn't show in CS2 even though I had draged them to the PS icon in the dock. These photos were not on my computer when the Library was upgraded. I even tried photos fresh from the camera. Elements 9 does work to open the photos.

Is it possible to move the ldb selection screen?
Hi All,
I have a custom program which uses a logical db.
The selection screen from the LDb is displayed first and then my custom selection screen is displayed.
There is a requirement where the custom selection screen needs to displayed first - at top and then the selection screen from the LDB.
Is it possible to move down the selection screen from the LDB?
If so then please let me know how...Hi,
with LDB, you can just hide or display LDB selection screen elements,
but moving your custom selection screen above LDB selection screen is not possible, as upto my knowledge.

Can anyone provide accurate info on why after 1 yr, ( just after guarantee period expiry) the DVD player on our I mac running Intel core duo processor with OS 10.6.8 refuses to run DVDs?
CDs run without problem and until recently the DVD we have (all original no pirated copies) ran; we have used a CD cleaner disc to no avail.Welcome to the Apple boards:
I suggest an erase and install and use your backup for any important files you have.
Did you perform a disk check/repair and permissions repair and a PRAM zap before updating? While not required, they are usually necessary to avoid issues.
There are so many reasons for a bad install, that it is impossible to list them all.
Out-of-date software, drivers, etc, haxies, and other software can cause problems.
My three updates were without incident, so it is possible for a perfect update, but unless you supply us with details about your previous system, programs, apps, drivers, etc., it is not possible to figure out what happened.
Again, whenever installing an update to an OS, a clone or other full backup is absolutely necessary, as reading the posts on this board indicate. -
ive tried loading this new software, and step 1 and 2 were successful, but after trying to restart the loading grey screen wont stop loading?
I had a similar problem, does the phone show anything on the screen, for example "update failed, connect to computer" if it does, try opening "Sony PC Companion 2.1" click start on "support zone" then click "phone/ tablet software update" a message will pop up, press repair my phone / tablet, select your phone in the list, then follow what it says, try doing this even if the phone shows nothing, you will lose everything, all data will be gone if you follow my steps

Why won't my Intel iMac boot up, either from the internal hard drive or the DVD drive? It just displays a light grey screen, without any other icons, etc. The fact that it won't boot from the original system DVD is what baffles me the most. Any ideas? If the C key for Install Disc or R Command for OS X Recovery startup commands are not working, try holding the Option key for the Startup Manager.

If that does not work and you using a wireless keyboard, it may have become unpaired and you need to dig up a USB keyboard to invoke the startup commands.

It may or may not be possible to verify the usage of such a technology device. And where did you get the idea that it costs $10 to manufacture and sell an iPad? I think the parts cost alone was $260, not counting manufacturing, shipping, storage, retail space, salespersons, helpdesk support, all the other overhead costs, etc. etc.
With so many people out there trying to scam the system, it will be an uphill battle to try to convince anyone that you bought it and didn't open the box for 14 months. That's very unusual.
At some point, the store you bought something from (in this case it was Apple) has to say no. What if it had been unopened for 2 years, or five years, or 20 years? This is what the warranty period is all about. It starts on the day you buy it and ends at the end of the warranty period, regardless of usage.
I am sympathetic to your plight but if you are able to get a new iPad (refurbished would be more likely), it will be through the kindness of Apple going above and beyond. If you do not get one, it is not Apple's fault you waited this long and there is no requirement for them to replace it. -
TS3274 dropped ipad now screen doesn't display
My daughter dropped her ipad and now the screen doesn't display anything. We can see some light changes but nothing else. It appears that the screen can still be touched to use apps because we are able to play music. Any suggestions on what we should do?
Not sure if you've fixed this, but it really works. After reading similar advice, I banged it on the corner of my couch and the display totally came back clear as day. Could not read it before.

Is it not displaying any type of picture attachment (JPG, GIF, TIFF, PNG)? Is it any message that you view, from any sender?
How did you reset Java? You may want to clear the caches as well. Empty ~/Library/Caches & /Library/Caches/.

Option Click on the Volume menubar icon doesn't display ALL airplay devices, just the last one used. I've seen other peoples display all their devices. Why can't I?
I've discovered that those screenshots where you see more than one speaker listed in the menubar icon are actually bluetooth devices, not airplay. When you check the shot of the system preferences pane and see them all listed there too, the Type says Bluetooth. Not sure why bluetooth gets them all listed and apple's own airplay standard does not. Hope a developer writes a mac app to do it!

HD footage looks jagged after compressing to burn the DVD
I finished the project in HD, I used compressor default settings for 90min hi quality to created 2mv files for DVD burning in SD. After burning the DVD I see a lot of jagged age effect especially where are lines, (eye brows, paper documents, etc). I used to shoot in SD, dvcam, and it was perfect.
Is there a solution...?
Thanks.Thank you very much!!! I tried 30 sec, and what a difference. The faces are sharper, the jagged edges are smaller. I had the jagged edges even on the face before. I still have some left maybe about 20%. I wonder if anti aliasing (what should be setting value?) or details would help, but I am afraid that it would take 100 hours to process 15 minutes of footage. I might be wrong, because it did show me 100 hours before.

I have created a DVD via iMovie and burned several copies. It is a large file. When played the some DVD's will stop and display a message SKIPPING DAMAGED Part but will not resume. Some work fine. It is not the DVD. I have burned from several batches. When trying to export the project, I get an error message with the following message: The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occured (-108).
