After resetting my iphone I lost all my contacts. Is it possible to get them back?
The screen on my iphone3 stopped rotating some time ago. I broke my ankle so I have alot of time to figure out the problem. I hooked the phone to my computer for the first time and downloaded the updates. I also reset my phone to the original settings which resulted in losing my pictures and contacts. Is there a way to retrieve my lost information? I did get the screen to start rotating. Thanks for any help
have you not been using your phone as intended? You should have been synching your contacts with iCloud, Outlook, or Address Book.
Synch your contacts back from one of those applications.

If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it. -
I changed my ID account on my ICloud and lost all my contacts. will they come back when I resync?

What do you mean by changed your ID. Is it a new account, or did you just change your address under the same account. -

HELP! I've been using my iPhone consistently for ALL phone numbers, since I have serious memory problems due to fibromyalgia. I upgraded my phone last night finally, having moved my photos out of it I had the space to download and install the upgrade.
I got a nasty shock this morning when I tried to make a routine call and found ALL of my phone contacts missing. They don't seem to be either in the cloud or in the phone. What happened? It said it was storing them in the cloud but they're all gone! How can I get them back?
IF this normally happens, why should I ever upgrade? Seriously! I didn't think to copy all of it out manually before upgrading, I'd upgraded once before without any problems. Addresses and other details gone too. I've got four numbers in "Favorites" but no context for them beyond location by state. Lost all my phone contacts this afternoon while my phone was charging. How do I get them back? Still have all my emails, messages, FB, Twitter, etc.. My contact list is now empty.
Contacts are stored on your computer or on a compatible cloud based service. so sync them back to the phone

No. The contacts are "owned" by the Exchange server.
The Exchange server is owned by the company.
Everything on the Exchange server is owned by the company.
If you quit or were terminated, and your access to the system has been revoked, then there is nothing you and do at this point. Once you deleted the account from your phone, all of the associated data was deleted.
NEVER store personal information on company systems. -

Did you backup the iPad first? If you did - restore from the backup in order to restore the photos in the Saved Album on your iPad. If the photos were synced to the iPad, then sync them back again via iTunes.

If you did backup first, you will be restoring your most recent backup and you should be OK. But know that when you restore from a backup, you restore everything that is in that backup onto the iPad .... All documents, device settings, all data and so on. You cannot just select photos to restore to the iPad. It's all or nothing. -
After updating iBooks on my iPad all my PDFs disappeared how do I get them back? I reinstalled the app again and they showed up and thn they disappeared, what is going on?
By reinstalling do you mean that you deleted the app and redownloaded it ? Deleting an app will remove the app and its contents. Do you have copies of the PDFs in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library so that you can sync them back ?

Are you sure, you are viewing the correct iPhoto library? iPhoto may have created a new Library.
Hold down the alt/options key ⌥, while you double click iPhoto to launch it. Is there more than one Photo Library in the panel that opens? Then try the other libraries, if your photos are in there.

The iPhone does not store ANY information on the SIM card. If they were truly on the SIM, re-import them from the SIM.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Import SIM Contacts.
