After restoring and Syncing my new Iphone with my older Iphone backup, all my apps are in "loading" status, what should I do?

Can't drag music from iTunes to iPod after restore and sync
I did a restore on my 80 Gb iPod classic because the 'catalog' became disorganized. The restore (from latest iTunes under Win7) and the sync/loading of songs seemed normal. The iPod works completely normally EXCEPT when connected to iTunes. Then, I can no longer drag albums to the iPod and the iPod song display is in grayed text instead of black.
My only theory is that I may have responded to a dialog box during sync which showed my very old and no longer used apple ID. iTunes uses my current ID.
If that IS the case, how do I fix it? Or, what other kinds of things could be wrong?Probably. I ran in that mode since the thing was new, only changing after restore because sync is the default and when I uncheck sync music there is this ominous dialog box saying that 'not sync' will cause all of the content to be removed (or words to that effect).
I'll mess around a little. The worst thing that could happen is losing this tound and going back to restore!

How do I get my contacts back after restoring and syncing?
I had updated my IOS to ios5. It stopped in the middle of retoration. I sync and got my apps back but my contacts are gone. How do I get them back?

Ipod says has no music right after restoring and syncing
It started with my ipod randomly going to menu in the middle of a song. Then it started skipping. And finally it would go from song to song but wouldn't play. So I restarted it while walking to class. When it got back to the menu it said there were no songs. Thinking it had simply been wiped clean, I plugged it into my computer to resync it.
For a while my computer didn't recognize it. When it finally did it asked me to restore it, which I did. I then was allowed to sync it with my library but after this my ipod still said it did not have any music. I repeated this process three times with the same result. HELP!Hello,
I've the same problem with my old G4 running 10.4.11 and iTunes 8.1 (50)
Connecting the same iPod Classic to my Mac Book running 10.5.6 the syncing is working. It looks like it is a iTunes and not a iPod problem.
Offcourse I've already rebuild my iTunes library and restored the iPod but still no changes.
There are also other post reporting the same issue, it's looks like it is connected to the newest 8.1 (50) itues version as i haven't any such issues before.

I accientally synced my iPhone to 2 different computers. Now my older apps are on one computer and new apps are on another. Every time I try to sync all apps on one computer it takes the other apps of and just syncs what is on that computer - Help please
I cannot for the life of me figure this out.What you need to do is connect your phone to iTunes but do not click sync. Go to File at the top and click transfer purchases from phone, that'll put all your apps into iTunes. When it's done transferring, locate your phone on the sidebar and click it. Then find the apps option above the picture of your iphone, you can select which apps you want or don't want on your phone. After selecting your apps then you can sync. Once you do this you should never have your problem anymore.

Downloaded and installed 5.0.1, killed my phone, finally able to restore but lost all apps, photos, etc. help. Everything I need is on my iTunes page but I cannot sync with iPhone4. Any ideas how I can sync?
If your phone is in recovery mode, you've already lost ALL of the data on the phone. Your only choice now is to restore it from your most recent backup. You follow this by syncing your content back to your phone. Any data, on your phone, not backed up or in supported applications on your computer, is gone. iTunes content you can re-download for free.

I got my new phone in Dec and just now had the time to sync it. I was given the option of using as a new iphone or restoring to a previous and I hit restore and now everything i dwn loaded over the last few months is gone along w all sms and photos. What can I do?
Well, unless you made a backup BEFORE you hit the restore button, your data is gone.

i'm setting up new iphone from a back up and it's trying to sync all apps, this is going over memory capacity. it's also not bring over any of the music that i had on my old phone, any help greatly appreciated. thanksGeesh - all this information and no one has any clue to this? I do have an appoitnment at the Apple store on Wednesday. Just trying to do some of this myself.iCloud on your computer is not an application. It's in System Preferences. To do what you want, however, requires that you connect the phone to the computer then use iTunes to backup, sync, etc. But you can only hope to do that when the phone is working properly.

After Upgrade to Yosemite, all apps are slow.
I upgraded to Yosemite and all applications are slow. ( as e.g.. starting to type in this box give me beachball for 2 seconds initially) A big difference in speed from Mavericks to Yosemite. Opening system preferences takes 3 seconds to load, and clicking on Users & Groups takes 25 seconds to open.

0 B Page-outsYou could do that, but when setting up your new iMac it is a much better idea to transfer only your existing User Accounts. In other words when Setup Assistant appears, de-select "Applications", "Computer and Network Settings" and "Other files and folders". That way you will eliminate the possibility of reinstalling potentially incompatible software from your existing Mac or its TM backup. It's best to create new printer queues and preferences anyway.
Your venerable HP 1012 will probably work without any difficulty but if you need its driver download it here. If it gives you trouble try OS X's generic PostScript driver.
After configuring your user account, install original versions of your essential software from their original sources. In other words if you installed them via download from the developer's website, download them again. You might need license keys so gather them. Obviously the Mac App Store makes things easy since anything you obtain from there is already linked to your Apple ID and is easily reinstalled by going to your Purchases page.
Don't reinstall things like AppCleaner, CleanMyMac, Western Digital "Smartware" or any of that junk. You don't need it. MacFUSE is outdated. Research Prolific Technology for potential updates for their serial controller. The one you have may work, or not, but you should re-download its driver.
Consider abandoning Microsoft altogether and migrating to better solutions such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. They are all free with a purchase of a new Mac and are far more integrated with OS X than anything Microsoft will ever be able to accomplish.
The Burr-Brown USB device is unknown to me, so research TI's website for support if you need it.
If your essential software was distributed on optical media, you can use OS X's "DVD or CD sharing" feature to remotely mount the older iMac's optical drive so that you can install its software. It will work as though that drive were physically installed on your new Mac. Having said that, anything that was distributed on optical media is highly likely to have been outdated a long time ago.
If your essential software is old, orphaned, no longer supported, or is no longer available, meaning you have the only viable copy, the only option is to transfer it from the TM backup or older Mac. In that case be very cognizant of the likelihood for incompatibility, and have a plan for uninstalling it should it cause adverse effects. Creating a new TM backup is the way to do that. A new external HD dedicated to the new Mac is a cheap investment. When you are certain you no longer require the older Mac's TM backup, you can erase it and use it as an additional, redundant TM backup or "clone" repository – whichever you decide is best for your backup needs. -
I just updated my iphone to ios7 and I keep getting stuck at the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. I click 'Restore from Itunes Backup', but it only ends up restarting after restoring and fails to get past the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. Any ideas?
Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ... -
Sync all apps, only some apps get sent to iphone
Hey guys, I have had this problem since 2.0 and now even with 2.0.1. Basically I have like 20 apps backed up on itunes from syncing my iphone with itunes. I was having some app crashing problems so I completely restored the phone.
Upon restoring it I was missing tons of my apps on my phone, yet they all showed up in itunes. If I try and sync my apps to the phone it shows its doing it but they just do not show up on there.
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it at all but my fiance and I are both using the same apple id.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.Use iTunes to unistal all the apps. After the sync and backup are complete unplug the phone. Look for any remaining apps. These apps have corrupt data, and are what is causing your problems. Hold an icon until all icons jiggle. Tap the little x's to delete the remaining apps. Then press the home button. You might notice the little spinning circle thing next to your network symbol. Wait for it to go away. Then hold the sleep/wake button and hold the home button down at the same time to perform a hard reset. You may once again notice the spinning circle. That is the phone clearing out the straightening it's self out, after the deletion of the corrupt data. After it finishes depress the wake button. You should also have shut down iTunes and restarted it. Plug the phone up and begin putting the apps back on a few at a time. Be sure to eject, unplug the phone perform the hard reset after each sync/backup. This should get your apps running better. The whole phone actually. If you still have issues with an app not syncing. Delete them from itunes and redownload them.

Iphone froze and deleted all apps!!
My iphone was in the process of upgrading 4 apps. It froze while I was playing a game and after 10 mins, finally got it to turn off and on. When it came back on, all apps were gone except for the few that were upgrading. I tried turning it back off and on and still all apps are gone. My email and pics are still there but everything else is gone. Help!!!
Same here and it is ******* me off. I was in the middle of playing we farm and then it crashed and when it showed me my home screen I noticed all my apps were gone. Here I am trying to figure out what the **** happened so I rebooted and turned the phone off but nothing.
I then synced it iTunes and only one app was reinstalled but the rest remained "hidden."
As you mentioned, I also see that I have 4.1GB of other data on my phone and know that it is the missing apps. Problem is how do I get it all back?
Using phoneDisk, I went into the iphone's root folders and tried to locate these apps. I found them and notice that all but one was marked with a censored image or an error image. Tried to open them but my mac could not, it opened the native and one app just fine (using xcode and iPhone dev kit) but rest were treated as foreign extensions.
I have many backups since I like to have at least monthly backups but I am still concerned with the "other space." If I were to use an old back up to restore my phone would the space taken by other still remain?
This is a first in my 2 iphones I ever owned, lost lots of data and I don't know what directly caused it.

I have a serious problem i believe. For about 10 days i can hardly using my phone. Phone has started too freeze and restart itself too much. And 3 days ago it has erased all the apps for home screen but i can see apps are still covers same amout of memory. My apps store is not showing anything also. For the question what caused this; only thing comes to my mind is the last app i installed. (wikiplaces app) What should I do? what is this? Does not see like ram overuse causşng this. It might work, it might not. Many users get only the latest backup to choose from when performing a restore. If your backup was made after the delete, then it won't work. If you do try a restore, I would strongly advise that you sync your photos from your device to a compter using USB (that's safer than relying on photo stream). There are countless posts by users who restored and lost all their photos.
