After restoring my phone with the desktop program I can no longer receive calls
I recently got my third curve and I finally figured out that something with the computer program is not allowing me to receive calls. I tried clearing off the device and I can get calls, but as soon as I sync it with the saved info on the computer it wont receive calls anymore..isn't there a setting or something that I have to change so that I can receive calls?? And I know it isn't just my computer because my friend is having the exact same problem right now...HEELLPP!!!
I tried something similar by adding a new mail account doing the apple id etc but it worked in that it would look for mail but no mail would come even though mail still goes to my phone I was loath to delete my original account just in case the new one did not work as well. So I guess I am a little stuck now.. I hope you can help me to sort it out.

After uploading our phones with the latest update, we have noticed that the battery life has deminished considerably. I now have to charge my phone overnight and two or three times a day. Prior to the update, my battery life lasted me at least a full day. We have several phones in our office and the ones that have updated (4) now have issue holding a charge/battery life. I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update. I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well. Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed". Whatever.
I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue. I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues. I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so. It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

Hi, i had backed up my data and then when i restored my phone with the restore backup option, all the photos, music where there but no apps. Al my apps are disappeared. Can you please tell me where are my apps backed up?
Apps (like other synced media like music) are not included in the backup that iTunes makes. Thus, restoring from backup if the apps are not in the iTunes library there are no apps to restore to the iPod.
Redownload the apps into your iTunes library.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
And then restore from backup.
Make sure that in iTunes>Preferences>Devices the box that say "Prevent iPods..." is checked otherwise when you connect the iPod to the computer the previous backup (with your app data) might be overwritten. -

I enter my email address (what is listed everywhere as my ID) and it does not recognize that. I wondered if it is saved somewhere as something different so I went online to find it. When I go to the support page and request my apple ID, it takes me in circles to reset my password but never tells me my ID. HELP!

I have a BB 9000 issue.
My issue is that I use a "CellSet" in my airplane that integrates smart phones with the avionics so I can use my phone during flight. I do not listen to music while flying, so I have no audible indication at all that I'm receiving a call. The RF output by BLackberry's is so bad, that I have to mount it on the other side of the cockpit to avoid the RF interference thus making the vibrate notification no good. My older Blackberry's channeled the phone-ring through the earphone jack just fine. Who knows what BB/RIM was thinking, or the lack there of by not designing this option into their phones!hello,

the only way i can make or receive calls now with my iphone 5 is by using speaker. what can i do to remedy this annoying issue.
If you have the computer that you first setup the phone with iTunes then just connect the phone to that computer via. the USB cable and see if a sync can be done.

When you erase the phone via Settings/General/Erase All Content and Settings or using Find My iPhone/Erase in iCloud and you then attempt to reactivate it again, as part of the activation process it has to contact an Apple server (called the "activation server") and from it receive the OK to activate the phone after checking your Apple ID and password are valid, the software installed on the phone is correctly signed and so forth. If it cannot contact the Apple activation server for some reason (it's down or you don't have internet connectivity, etc.) then you will get this message and the activation process cannot proceed.
First thing to check is that you have a working internet connection, WiFi is okay, etc. If that is all okay then maybe the Apple activation server is down or unreachable because of issues at Apple's end, in that case simply wait a while and try the activation again, hopefully it will now work. -
IE loads websites fine. I have tried all the suggestions from the articles of the knowledge base including checking proxy settings, editing about:config and starting in safe mode; none of which have resolved the problem.
Forgot to mention the online version of the Flash Player Installer is now affected as well. I could not update flash player using it and had to download the offline installer.
This makes me wonder whether it still is a firewall or even a router issue, but like I said I tried the re-adding as an exception in the firewall method and having not changed anything with my router I don't see why that would be an issue.
