After scanning document, I cannot send to an alias e-mail that was created

I have an HP Photosmart 7520 all in one printer. Router is AT&T U-Verse
The printer is wireless and getting proper signal
When trying to set printer to send scanned document to e-mail, it wants a 4 digit code
Says code has been sent to the e-mail I created for it
but i cannot retrieve the e-mail with the code
What am I doing wrong here?

I understand that you're trying to setup scan to email on your printer. When you setup the scan to email app on your printer it asks for your personal email address and the pin is sent to this email. Have you checked your email inbox? I would also check my spam folder it's possible it could be there.

i cannot send scanned documents using mail. it says that the size is too big but the scan is only 33mb. i have tried with Snow leopard and now Lion and the same thing happens. Any ideas? Could it be the scanner that i am now using. i switched from HP to Brother and down loaded the brother presto page manager? i am on a 2007 imac with max RAM installed.

How many pages and what is the size of each page? I assume the 33 Mbytes is the total size.

I cannot use a notifier in a VI that was created by a built application

I have a first VI that creates a notifier and a second one that waits for data coming along this notifier which is standard and works very well. The problem starts when I take my first VI and build an application from it. When I run this application, my second VI cannot find the notifier any more but creates a new one. Still the names are the same and the application indicates a correct working notifier.
Now, is it impossible to communicate between VI and built application via notifier?

You cannot communicate between different LV applications or LV programming environment using notifiers,because each application uses their own memory space. You can compare it with global variables. You cannot communicate between different LV applications with global variables. The reason is the same: different memory space.

You haven't set up the SMTP (outgoing) mail server correctly. You probably didn't enter your user ID and password for the outgoing server. They are needed even though it says "optional".

Can you actually see that the attachment has a .jpg extension? Some mail systems strip it off (I've seen AOL do that) which makes the attachment difficult to open.

This is very odd. Were the images that you scanned before installing Yosemite saved as JPEG? If yes, have you tried saving the scanned image as a TIFF?
Also, if you scan to a USB memory stick from the MX and save this as a JPEG, and then open the file on the Mac, does it also display as black?

Thank you, but after an hour with apple support on the phone we came to the conclusion that the documents are lost... So the lesson is, don't trust icloud as a back up solution! A month worth of work down the drain...

As for what I think you are asking, re second paragraph, the answer is found in:

Add the alias addresses in manually as you would always have done with those that were not .Mac.
You are correct that you cannot actually edit text wise, but you can activate or make an alias inactive, and add new ones in the online Preferences display, or enter full Name specifics -- that is what is meant in the preferences in Mail by "Edit".
You have installed the MobileMe panel into System Preferences, haven't you?

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

LiveCycle forms use a very different approach to create a PDF form than Acrobat and that approach makes many features for processing PDFs non-functional.
You might want to ask this question in one of the LiveCycle product forums.

FormsCentral form files are stored on the FormsCentral servers. If you are the author or a co-author of the form you can access it from any machine by logging into FormsCentral. If you aren't the author or a co-author of the form you will need to contact the author and have them share the form with your FormsCentral account. Interesting question. I don't think you can because Time Machine would have deleted the data in subsequent backups because it was removed from the computer. But you never know about these things until you actually try it, which I've never done. So, why don't you give it a try. Worst that can happen is it's not there and you're no worse off than now.
