After setting up iCloud, many of my Contacts have lost their picture images on my iPad and iPhone.
Any advice on restoring my Contact pictures? Thanks.
This happened to me, after talking with Apple, they said they are aware of the issue and are working to fix the issue by the end of the month (November 2011).
The issue I have is the contact pictures for my iCloud contacts all vanish (the contact remains). They disapear all at once, randomly, but I've noticed it usually happens after I add a new contact via the iPhone.
The contact pictures are still present on the contacts when I view them on iCloud.com
To workaround, turn off Contact Sync under iCloud settings. It'll ask if you want to delete the iCloud contacts from your device, agree (don't worry, your contacts are still in iCloud, just not your phone).
Then turn contact sync back on again, and the device will redownload all your contacts, with the pictures intact.
So far I've done had to do this a couple of times.
I much prefer using iCloud for contacts because the contact pictures are full screen, where as contact pictures sync with Exchange get reduced to tiny thumbnails.

About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Trying to instll iCloud on a new Toshiba laptop so I can sync contacts, calendars, email with my iPhone and iPad. Get error message HRRESULT:OX8007OBC9, says installer encountered errors before iCloud Control Panel 2.0 could be configured. Have the same problem trying to istall iTunes.

If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

Icloud photos use different amount of memory on ipad and iphone. Anyone know why?
i Recently set up photos library on icloud. I have the same number of pictures on both my ipad and iphone, yet the memory usage is nearly double on the iphone. i can't think of a reason for this. Does anyone have an explanation?
So does that mean, that if I have more available memory on one of the devices, then the pictures will be stored at a higher resolution?
I have both devices set to optimise the pictures, There are the same number of pictures on each device, yet on the iPad they use 150mb but on the iphone they use 300mb
There is a little more space available on the iPhone, so maybe the resolution they are stored at, is varied according to space? -

I've lost the contacts and calendar events (& email) from my 3GS after setting up iCloud with iPad3 and PC Outlook. Any solutions?
I tried to re-synch it with the PC iTunes, but no luck, even when re-checking the boxes for Outlook...I should mention that i have NOT upgraded to iOS 5 on the 3GS and don't want to. Therefore, no iCloud on the phone.

There should be two networks. Time Capsule operates simultaneously on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. If you set up a guest network, there will be three networks. Each network has its benefits. Regarding the USB, see if zapping the PRAM helps.

My iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes after setting up iCloud syncing
I have an iPhone4 and have updated to ios 5 and have a macbook pro running Lion and have updated that and iTunes. Everything was goig OK but after setting up iCloud syncing I find if I want to sync by usb my iPhone doesn't appear in the devices. Maybe I have done something wrong, but I did usb sync once after all the setting up?

OK, for the third time writing this this session, after setting up iCloud on my IPMini, how do I access the clod to use the iWork apps?
Note that you can not log into iCloud.com through the browser on an iOS device, only from a computer. If you want to use the iWork apps on your iOS device, you will need to purchase the apps from the app store if you don't qualify to get them for free.

I have an apple ID which I use to sign into icloud for my iPad and iPhone.But when I use the same ID for setting up iCloud on my Macbook it says INCORRECT ID or password, try again. I tried changing my passwords several times but it does not work for the macbook.
You will have to provide the correct password to delete the existing account, if you have tried but are not getting the password reset email, contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password.

Some older addresses that sync from Outlook no longer showup on my ipad and iphone. Data is in Outlook and in Icloud contacts. Any suggestions? Some of the newer addresses seem to sync but the older ones (family) addresses are not. The data is showing up in Outlook and in icloud but doesn't show up in my contacts after a sync.

I am so confused about iCloud. My husband says he never set it up but all is information is on both his iPad and iPhone. How can that be and do I have to have iTunes Match?
"All his information" may or may not include things customarily stored in iCloud. Perhaps all the information is on both devices because they were both recently synced using the same iTunes sync.
Do you have to have iTunes Match? No. Many folks do not have iTunes Match. The music purchased from iTunes is always available to the purchaser. Other music is stored in iTunes on the person's computer. -
