After Skype for Business: Meeting Options set in Outlook are not used in the Meetings

Hi everyone,
after the Update from Lync 2013 to the Skype for Business 2015 Client, I noticed that the Meeting Options you can set within Outlook (for example who needs to wait in the waiting room, is not used in the actual meeting.
Although the settings are persistent within Outlook, for every Meeting I currently must make sure that I am starting it before everyone else and set the same settings again within the meeting with the SfB Client.
Can someone confirm this behaviour? If yes, is this already known and a fix under way? Especially when you invite externals, sometimes I appreciate it if I need to approve them to pull them into the actual meeting instead of everyone just joining in midst
conversation or while you are preparing something.

Would you please elaborate the "actual meeting" (Meet Now?)?
If you mean actual meeting to be Meet Now, it is the normal situation. The SFB meeting options set on Outlook will not affect the setting by Meet Now. You need to set the meeting option through SFB client when creating a "Meet Now" meeting.

Did my iphone's WiFi connection also get lost with the Contacts, Mail and Text Messages? When I tried the software update, as recommended by Winston Churchill, the iphone was connected to my desktop which is connected to the Internet.

You can't use your computers Internet connection to update your phone from the phone itself. If you want to use the computers Internet connection to update your phone you must update it through iTunes.

Any way to remove the prompt after Skype for Business patch?

So we rolled out the latest patches to our test machines and everyone got the new Skype for Business upgrade. When each person logged in they were greeted with a window that said something like:
"Your administrator is set for you to use the Lync User Interface."
We then had to click the Restart Now button which caused Lync to close and open up again and it looked like Lync instead of like Skype.
Is there any way to not have that pop up open and to just have everyone get the old Lync interface as if nothing happened? GPO, Registry, etc?
We want to minimize any confusion people are sure to have the first time they use it.

You can enable the SkypeUI (Set-CsClientPolicy -Identity Global -EnableSkypeUI $true) with the backend still being Lync Server 2013 to get the new client look and feeling.
The Skype for Business 2015 RTM Server bits should be out in May, but the current new functionality can be taken from:

Can I just enable it for individual users for testing? I tried doing a get-csclientpolicy and replacing -identity global with -identity <user ID> but it said it didn't exist since it seems it's looking for policies. Not sure if there's
some other way to do that.
Do I need to setup a new policy and just add certain people to it or is there any other way to do that for specific users?

Base on my knowledge, it can be the issue of driver. Please try to uninstall the default Sound Card, VGA Device/Video Card, Graphic Card. Then rescan the system to reinstall these driver, and rebooted.
Then test the issue again.

For Some Reason Some Of My Shows Are Not Part Of the Other ones PLZ HELP

Okay I love apple and its multiple products but I have been experiencing some problems with itunes. I love That 70s Show and have 6 season of it and a program i bought that transfers them into ipod format. For some reason there are a couple of episodes that have the same information of seasons, shows, but are in a different part of itunes. I have tried reinstalling the episode but it doesnt become part of the other 100 episodes.
Anyone Help Please

I've encountered errors like this with some of my episodes of this and that. I looked carefully and saw that in some files, the names of the ep or the series had a space after the last character, I found this made ITunes thing it was a completely different thing. Dunno if that'll help you but u may want to have a look at your tags. GL

Skype for Business, Transfer Calls appears blank

After the latest Skype For Business update a set of machines can no transfer calls.When attempting to transfer the "Invite by Name or Phone Number" screen is just a white box with an (x) close button.Once the June update KB/3054791 is removed:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3054791The machine is able to see the UI and transfer the calls correctly?Has anyone see this with the June update? We have further verified that if change your desktop setting for the resolution it wil make the transfer call window blank Default DPI is set to 125%. Doesn't work.100% works fine. 126% also works fine. We have been able to reproduce this on two other machines. Can someone also test to see if the same results happen.

A little more info... I've gone back to an affected computer and verified that setting the DPI to 125% for an unaffected user causes the issue in that situation. Many of our other computers don't exibit this issue after the KB3054791 update regardless of the DPI setting. I did try updating the video drivers on one of the affected computers and that made no diffrence. I'm still not sure what the correlation is between computers that are affected and computers that are not affected. It's very perplexing.

Skype invites not received by Skype for Business users

I'm a system Administrator who manages an Office 365 Tenancy. We are currently testing Skype for Business (formerly Lync Online).During initial testing we are finding that invite requests sent from a Skype account using Skype windows client version 7.5.0.10 is not being received by our Skype for Business windows client (15.0.4711.1002)I have raised this issue with an Engineer that works with the Lync Online Support team and he has duplicated the issue.The strange thing is that invites sent from the Skype for Business (formerly Lync Online) windows client are received successfully by Skype. I have the exact opposite problem. Using Skype for Business (on Windows), I searched for my personal Skype account and sent an invite (at least SfB told me the invite was sent). But after logging on to Skype with my personal account on my Mac, I did not receive the invite. Furthermore, when using Skype to search for my work SfB account, no results were found, even when the "Allow anyone to contact me" setting on that account is selected.

Skype for Business bug - changing custom locations

Just transitioned from Lync to Skype for Business and have noticed this issue on multiple workstations following the switch. Sometimes I am unable to change my custom location using the steps explained by the office support guide here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Set-change-or-hide-your-location-in-Skype-for-Business-Lync-9d8b0e1c-c51d-42cc-a035-918e2ec47f66. Entering a free-form location, as well as selecting from a previous entered location does not seem to be working correctly. The input box will always appear as if I'm still entering text. Hitting enter, tab, clicking in a different portion of the application, closing the application, or restarting the application does not seem to make the status persist. Occasionally, this works as expected, but most of the time I am unable to save my location.

Office 365 Lync Online / Skype For Business Journaling

From what I have found in my research, there is no way to journal Lync Online / Skype For Business IMs with Office 365. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Is anyone doing this by way of workaround or 3rd part product?

I want upgrade from Skype to Skype for Business, BUT want to retain my Skype ID (which is printed on my business cards) and existing contact connections.
My situation is similar to Jim Carpenter's, in that I've used Skype for years. I have it linked to my old Microsoft account that I'd set up for the old SkyDrive (now OneDrive) product. When I bought Office 365 Business Premium (includes Skype for Business), it necessitated creating a second Microsoft ID using the suffix [e-mail removed for privacy and security] to set up my new business account. That is a different login than my existing Skype login tied to the original MS account, and the new one not only accesses the MS programs, it accesses Exchange, through which I run Outlook calendar and contacts.
So, are these the steps I should take?
Unlink my existing Skype account
then uninstall Skype
then install Skype for Business
I would guess that there would need to be a re-linking step of some sort, too, but I'm unclear on this. Guidance?
Please confirm that is the best path. Will this process allow me to migrate the Skype ID and contacts to the business app?

Will there be a Skype for Business standalone non click to run installer made available tomorrow?

I would like to know where I will be able to download a non click to run version of Skype for Business when it is released tomorrow. I need the normal installer because I need to turn off the feature, 'Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation Support' as it breaks
Outlook in Office 2007.

As Anthony stated, it is a patch to Lync 2013 client.
A few notes and the related KB for your reference. (Both updates are cumulative and contain all previously released fixes for Lync 2013.)

Notes:
You must install both patches on a minimum build of
15.0.4569.1506 (SP1).
After you apply this April 14, 2015 update, Lync 2013 will be upgraded to Skype for Business. Info about the new

For your customers information: You can still use the Lync client user interface after you apply this update for Skype for Business. Here is info on how to switch between the Skype
for Business and the Lync client user interfaces for
Office 365 users and
Lync Server 2013 users.

What happens when Skype for business evaluation expires?

I am testing Skype for business within my company before actually rolling out teh Skype for Business for all. I am using Skype for business evaluation version to test the features and/or and impact it would have on Lync 2013 existing users. I need to know
what happens when the skype for business evaluation patch expires on 1st May 2015, what will the users see? will it switch back to Lync 2013 on its own or do I need to uninstal the package to do so?

Agree with Anthony, you can get the updates (KB2889923 & KB2889853) through Windows Update.
The Skype for Business Client will already be activated as it is an update to an existing licensed product.

Skype for Business not Updating Shortcuts - Pro Plus 2013

Installing the Skype for Business update does not appear to update the start menu icons for Office 2013 Pro Plus, so we now have Skype for Business app but only shortcuts for Lync (which will launch Skype for Business when clicked). In our environment
we use the OCT to create an MST which moves the Office shortcuts at initial install, so I think this may be the issue.
Anyone else see this? Office 2013 Pro Plus / Win 7 x64
