Is the "software update" for iTunes 12? Or something you did to the iPod?

Same problem here but figured it out: Drag the song from the Media Browser tab (after selecting iTunes at the top) at the bottom right when you open a new GarageBand project. Hope this helps you -- working perfectly for me!

But now I have to do it every other day. ???? AT&T my DSL carrier suggests I get a new router. Apparently the one I have is really old and doesn't support my Macbook Pro. Does this sound right?

If your using WEP encryption yes, Apple has discontinued that becaues it's worthless. WEP (and WPA) is cracked so encryption makes no sense.
Get a new Wireless N router, set it up with WPA2 (AES) Personal and two different 20+ randon letter/numbersymbol character passwords
One for Admin access only of the router, keep this on paper off all comptuers in a safe someplace.
One for entering into devices, computers etc for Internet Access Only.
You need the long and random password to defeat brute force attacks by GPU software that the hackers have now.
Also if you give out the password to another, they can't hack the network with the guest access password.
Computers remember the internet password, so anyone with access to your machines or network will have the password.
Since you have another Admin only password, they can't hack in. got it?
You don't need "Invisible" or "MAC Address filtering" that's a waste of time as hackers can sniff a network and causes issues getting on the network.

If you mean a newsstand subscription then try logging into your itunes account on a mac or pc.
Subscriptions can be cancelled from within there.

I kept having a similar problem - 3 out of the 10 videos I had on iTunes wouldn't sync. They were in the right format and I KNEW they worked on my iPod because I'd RECORDED them on my iPod. I finally figured out what to do! Go to the movies in your iTunes library. Click on one that does not sync. Click on "Advanced" at the top of iTunes and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version". Once that's finished, be sure you delete the old version so you don't keep getting the error (or have 2 copies of the same video) and sync. This should eliminate the problem. At least it did for me!

Delete the tracks from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track files to the Trash. Then download the tracks again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:

After Firefox updates I can see my tool bars, but the screen below is blank and I can't do anything in Firefox. I says "Done" in the lower left corner. What's up?

Following the automatic update of Firefox, which happens when I open it, it often occurs that I can't do anything in Firefox. All the tool bars appear, but below is a white screen. When I click on a bookmark, nothing happens except the word "Done" appears in the lower left corner and the screen remains white.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.
If yes you can try resetting your Network Settings. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note that you will have to re-enter all of your WiFI passwords.

All info gone after software update, how can i get it back?

New G3, notified me I needed to sync w/itunes to get the new update. After syncing, and various problems and errors, it said i needed to restore my iphone... everything would be wiped clean +but i could get it back+ after the update was complete. Update is complete, where is the option to put all of my stuff back on my phone? My contacts, my appointments, my alarms, my life... aargh!

Turns out those error messages it gave me were because it didn't sync properly and create a backup. Which is why when I restored from backup it didn't reload my old info. Instead of assuring me that I would have the option to restore my info, it would have been nice had it told me that a backup hadn't been completed and that restoring my phone without it would leave me with nothing.
Tech support had me use my old SIM card to import my old contacts. This worked, but I've entered contacts since getting the new phone that aren't on my old SIM. And doing so left me with a bunch of re-organizing to do (deleting, combining, entering First and Last name fields...) it took me several hours.
I didn't get my appointments back, cause my old phone was just a phone, and that info wasn't on the old SIM, but I'm REALLY glad I got my contacts.

Looks like I have a solution. I was locked out after forgetting my pascode as well. After calling Apple support I have fixed that problem. The Apple support was brilliant!

Turn off your disconnected iPhone completely.
Press and hold the home button.
Connect the USB cable when iTunes is started and keep the home button pressed.
When you see the the picture on the screen that shows the iTunes connect symbol release the home button.
Say OK in the iTunes dialog to restore your iPhone.
Activate the SIMcard with your SIMcode when you are prompted on the iPhone screen.
And now the most important! Do not restore your iPhone. The restore will again apply your forgotten passcode to the device.
Redo all the settings like language, timezone and so on your phone.
Connect again to iTunes and connect your iPhone as a new one. Do not use the old settings to restore.
Finally tell iTunes all your pictures, video , music an so to sync like the first time you have setup your iPhone.
I know this needs some work to do all the settings and syncs again but it helps to get rid of a forgotten passcode.
