After Statspack Install Logical DB stopped - urgent

After installing statspack @spcreate installed sucessfully
@spauto create job sucessfully
But the Logical stdby stopped applying the logs with the following error message

Thanks for your reply, our logical stdby has '+RT06_DATA/RT06'
and primary has '+OT06_DATA/OT06TSG001'
so we are using db_file_name_convert init parameter but it doesn't work.
Is there any thing particular steps hiding to use this parameter? as i tried this parameter for rman cloning it din't work, as a workaround i used rman set new name command for clonning.

After Waves install, Logic asking for serial number unless xsKey plugged in

I installed Logic Studio and have been using it without dongle. After installing Waves Gold bundle and going through super paranoid copy protection maneuver, Logic now needs the xsKey dongle to run. Otherwise it asks for new serial number, then the original SN, which is of course the xsKey you must insert to proceed.
Does anyone know what needs to be done to correct this, short of dumping the Waves stuff and starting all over again?

It's unlikely to be Waves related I think. I'm running iLok Waves plugins here in LP8 without my XSkey connected. Waves has nothing to do with the XSkey, it either uses hard disk authorisation (old plugs) or iLoks (current plugs).
It sounds to me more like the Logic installation is screwy, if it's forgotten it's authorised. Try running some disk utils and verifying permissions, and if no joy, rerunning the Logic install and reauthorise.

Help. After re-installing Logic...it gets the clips wrong

Hey. I've just re-installed Logic.
I've just gone to open up a project I was working on previously and it says that it couldnt locate one of the audio files. No bother, I told it where to point to.
The problem is that it has put the wrong regions in the wrong places, and has forgotten some of the edits. It's only happend to one audio file as well....
Any ideas of causes and fixes.. I don't really want to go back and re-edit the audio file...

Yh I checked the last backup file and it happend the same way...

after i installed logic pro 9 on snow lepoard, it won't open along with all my other applications that were fine before i installed logic. It gives me a problem report that i don't really understand. i need help!!!

Yes.. you cannot easily downgrade from one OS X to another without starting again from fresh..... otherwise you can easily get the sort of issues you are having.
Solution.... (The short version)
Make sure you have first got backups of all your personal data, projects, photos, music etc.....
Double check youn have saved all your personal data out.
Ensure you have your Snow Leopard Installation disk(s) to hand..
Boot to your SL installation disk..
Reformat your hard drive using the Disk Utility found in the SL Install menu bar..
Re-install Snow Leopard.
Install Logic Pro 9, update to latest version and test.....
If Logic will not launch then install that Prokit I gave you the link for... and test again. Do not install it if Logic works ok..
Install any drivers for audio/midi hardware if needed and ensure correct versions are installed for OS X version.
Install all 3rd party plugins and apps..
Manually transfer all personal data and projects etc... back to your newly setup Mac...
Test again....

After I installed logic pro 9, I tried to reopen some old projects, but now it says:
EXS24 instrument "Yamaha Grand Piano.exs" not found
EXS24 instrument "Megfat_Superstrings.exs" not found
How can I find these instruments back?

Can't open Logic Pro after having installed Mountain Lion

After having installed Mountain Lion I can't find Logic Pro (the latest version) back in my programs. I do still find all of my sessions. Trying to open a session a "Basic Content Download" starts. Just before the end of the download the computer asks for my password. After I've typed it and pressed enter the download stops.
This means I can't open any of my sessions.
What should I do?

If you used the Mountain Lion installer it will have "migrated" your iWork software to the new system.
Unfortunately that doesn't always work properly. I had to reinstall mine from the original DVD.
If you can't find your DVD then you will have to purchase the iWork software individually from the Mac Store.
Just make sure to completely uninstall your existing iWork from your System first:

Sounds like the CD drive died. Luckily they cost next to nothing to replace. Or get an external LaCie instead. I have a dual G4 1.25 and the CD drive was always so anemic I use a LaCie Porsche with it.

We have performed a new installation of ebusiness suite in our windows platform.
Installtion went with out any problem.
But we can not start/stop the fullfilment server. While trying to start/stop the server we are getting follwing error message:

Sorry our primary database file structure is different from stdby, we used db_file_name_convert in the init.ora, it look like this:

I tried this parameter before for cloning using rman backup. This din't work.
What exactly must be done? for db_file_name_convert to work.
Even in this case i think this is the problem its not converting the location and the logical halts.

My MacBook Pro's internal SuperDrive has stopped recognizing CDs/DVDs after Yosemite install

After upgrading to Yosemite, my MacBook Pro's (early 2011) internal SuperDrive has stopped recognizing CDs/DVDs after Yosemite install. It takes them in and will eject them with the keyboard button, but they will not mount. Disk Utility shows the SuperDrive and shows the inserted media, but will not mount the disk. That button is grayed out. Please help! I still have training libraries and music I access on such media. Thx!

UPDATE: I discovered some forum posts about a similar issue with Mavericks that recommended re-installing the system to fix the problem. I realized that I rarely restart my computer unless there's an update that requires it, and decided before undertaking a full re-install of Yosemite to simply restart my computer again. THIS WORKED! The SuperDrive is now mounting CDs and DVDs. Not sure what the issue was, but if anyone else has this issue I hope this will save you hours of frustration.

What I am saying is ..........

After i instal Vanguard1.2(not Universal Binary)Logic go crash at startup (Reading AudioUnit cache...)
But now i have upgrade Logic (7.2 to 7.2.1) and now it work, BUT
Logic cant see any AU plugins or instruments
I launch AU Meneger and do Reset and Rescan
But nothing!
There is "passed validation" for each plugin in AU Meneger
Is this normal?
BTW,there is no third party plugins,just Logic`s own(exept Stulus RMX 1.5.1c)
I has try to uninstal(type Logic in Finder and drag all Logic`s folders to trash and delete them)Logic and instal it again
But there is the same thing every time
Maby my Uninstal is not "full" uninstal?
Please help! - I dont want to format my HDD

If it's a PPC plug-in, native intel apps won't see it. I'd suggest removing it from your components.
