See if you can reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again.
If this does not work, try to connect in recovery mode, shown here: iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore

My iphone 3 has completely frozen - facebook had been hanging so i deleted it and tried to reinstall and it was loading and now my phone is just showing the apple logo and won't turn on - help!!! please!!!

My iphone 3 has completely frozen. Facebook and other apps were not loading properly so I deleted facebook and went to the apps store and reloaded. It was still loading and then my phone just froze - I turned it off and then tried to turn it back on and all I am getting is the apple logo in the middle of the phone and rather stupidly I have never synched it!! I know what an idiot!!! I have tried calling vodafone but not surprise they are closed for technical help at this time of night.
Any suggestions greatly received......

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, restore the device to factory settings > Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
Or restore from a backup > iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

Can you specify on your problem? Is your iPhone brand new or have you jailbroken it, etc.?

Select an individual calendar in the calendar list, then create your events or to do items." Any help here would be greatly appreciated! I would like to either retrieve the old information or find a way to add the category back in to start over. Thanks in advance!

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Yes. The phone will be back to default settings.
Once the phone is up and running you can try and restore your backup again.

Iphone will sync with one and only one cpomptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer. This is the design of the iphone.
It will erase the content when you sync.
Why not update from the comptuer with which you normally sync?

You may have to restore your phone to correct the problem.

I am having a really wierd issue as well that is probally related. I dont see 95% of the album artwork associated with my music. Also, it seems as if this has gotten worse since I started using that match feature

did you restore from backup or as a new device? Restore as a new device. Before you add any apps to it, use the phone with just the iOS-installed apps. If it's fine, slowly add a few purchased apps back at a time. Do this until the offending app is found.

A restore loses nothing.
A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer.
