After syncing most of my apps disappear.

I have a iphone 3GS with ios 5.0.1, and after connecting it to charge and sync today most of my apps vanish! They're not in my itunes, nowhere to be seen on the phone. Is there anything that can be done to revert it?
I haven't connected my phone to a computer in a few days as I have been charging my phone from the plug or on my work pc (that has no itunes). The only thing I did differently lately was to use a colleagues pc to charge (and there was itunes on that computer).
From probably near 100 apps I now only have 14! Skype is gone, amazon too, and many others. The one that bother me the most is the one with my notes where I had all my xmas gifts ideas...
If there is a way of recovering them please please please let me know!!

After syncing can't open apps

On my wife's iPad I successfully installed a number of apps, some purchased, some free. She has her own email address. However, I purchased the apps in the iTunes Store with my Apple ID.
On my mac mini, we have separate accounts. I opened iTunes in her account and connected, via the docking cable, her iPad. Photos she had taken on the iPad transferred into iPhoto. I opened iTunes and synced the computer and the iPad for the music files only. All the music transferred except for 6 songs which I had purchased using my Apple ID. (There is sharing of music between her and my account on the mini.)
After disconnecting the iPad from the mini, I am no longer able to open any of the added apps in the iPad.
Further, I can't find a record in iTunes of the purchased apps (which do show up on my credit card). In the iTunes store when I look at Purchase History I only see music, no apps.
I'd appreciate any help here.

I forgot that I had free technical support for 90 days. The problem was resolved by wiping out apps that we're on my wife's iPad, verifying that the apps were purchased under my wife's Apple ID, downloading the apps to my mini from iTunes and downloading apps to the iPad. Apple does a great job with support.

After Sync iToutch to iCal all disappears off iMac ical

I sync'd itouch using iTunes and all did move from imac to itouch, but now all my items in ical on my imac have gone! I did do a backup of ical on imac before this sync, have tried doing a "revert to backup file" and looks like it's trying to revert but scrolling bar showing "reverting to backup file" just sits there after now 2hrs and nothing has happened!

I even went to mobile me, saw all my ical items there, try to sync and nothing comes into ical on imac.

When you plug in your iPhone, in iTunes go to the Info tab and then to the very bottom to the Advanced section. Ensure that the check marks for "replace data on iPhone" (or the equivolent) are not checked for some reason.
Troubleshooting:
1.) Backup all your data:

3.) Plug in the iPhone and attempt a sync.
If that does not resolve the issue let me know and I'll give you a different route.

my iphone 4 was updated iOS 4.2. I sync apps from my laptop but after that not see a new apps into my iphone. I already reset the phone after sync. This new apps show on itune but not show on the phone. Pls help

So I still need a little help with apple software, I've synced most of my apps& valuable information from iPad 2 - iPad 3, however, I need to completely wipe my iPad 2 before selling it. Would this affect any synced items? I do have most things saved on iCloud but I'm not sure if it would disappear if the iPad it came from is wiped. :( (e.g, docs on pages, notes, pictures, calender stuff .. Etc)
Furthermore, how do I go about syncing camera videos?

P.s. the synced calender events show up in green once synced to the new iPad, as obvious as this sounds, why is this?? & would these remain despite wiping my ipad2?

There is no syncing of Camera videos. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digitla camera. The iCloud PhotoStream is for photos only and is temporary - limited to 1,000 photos and 30 days.

All my default apps disappeared, how did that happen?

I was just deleting some unuseful Apps through iTunes, after syncing all my default apps are gone, even my "settings" icon.
On my iTunes, the summary of my iphone indicated that there are 88 apps, but when i count it, there's just 79.
Help, anyone?

Apps disappear after sync

For some reason, when I sync my iPhone 4S to my Mac Pro, apps disappear from the iPhone. I know I can download them again, but everytime it deletes them I have to set them up again and all my data is lost. How can I prevent this from happening? I tried to tell iTunes to stop syncing the apps, but when I do it says it will delete ALL of my apps from the phone! ***?!

it happen when u download the app from your mobile directly and then you connect with the tunes it conflict because itunes don't have these app then its delete u can do this when u connect your iPhone with itunes u see the sync start click as quick as u can on the cross button on the middle of the itunes where he sync start this action stop the sync

I have a problem. it only started after i bought my new iMac and migrated all my docs etc from my macbook using Migrate Assistance. when i download apps on my iphone, after i sync with itunes they just dissapear.

I know I am late in posting to this discussion but I had to put my two cents in. I am having the exact same problem on my 3GS. I use a PC to connect to itunes and more often than not after syncing is complete all of my apps have gone out of the organized folders! I wouldn't complain if I only had 20-30 apps to deal with but I have 495! I have called Apple on this problem several times and they have continued to plea ignorance saying that they have never had anyone call in with this problem before! Obviously this is not the case by all of the people writing about the same thing! I hope that Apple will get with their programmers and figure out what the heck is going on...we deserve better than this! Mr. Jobs would not be so well-off without us so he needs to take better care of his customers! Well, I FINALLY talked to someone that seemed to have a solution to my problem! I thought that you only needed to organize your apps into folders on the actual phone...nobody had asked me before if I had organized them directly on itunes. I am in the process of doing this now and I hoping beyond hope that by doing this my folders stay organized! Although, there was one time when I was just sitting at my desk and my folders all became disorganized when it wasn't even plugged into any computer or being charged with a wall outlet! We will have to wait and see!

Non-factory Apps Disappearing Randomly After Upgrade to iOS 5.1

Hi all, I've had my iPad 2 for about 9 months. Since upgrading to iOS 5.1, on two separate occasions, I've had all but the factory apps disappear from my iPad. This happened randomly during the day, not during or immediately following a sync. My most recent sync for my iPad was on 3/14, 6 days ago. I had been using my iPad throughout the day, then unlocked it this evening and everything is gone except the factory apps, i.e. FaceTime, Messages, Reminders, etc. All my media is still there, and all my settings are unchanged (email accounts still working fine, movies still there in the Videos app), but all downloaded apps are gone. No games, none of my work apps, nothing. This is the second time this has happened since I upgraded to iOS 5.1 about 2 weeks ago. First time was the day after. Last time I did a full wipe and restore, hoping it was a one time glitch. I've done some searching, and the only other instances of people's apps disappearing that I've been able to find were related to syncing. I have the latest iTunes, all software is patched and up to date. I have syncing via WiFi disabled, as well, it only syncs via cable plugged into my home PC.
Hoping someone else has seen this or has some idea.
(My battery life is significantly reduced after the iOS upgrade as well, with no changes to settings or new apps. I get a day or two of light use before I'm down to 10%. I was at 30% in the morning when I put it in my bag, and it was dead when I took it out later that afternoon. I used to get a good week between charges.)

If it's a first gen iPad, which I assume that it is if you've updated to iOS 5.1.1 as other models update to iOS 6+, then it doesn't have a camera on it and therefore doesn't have Camera or FaceTime apps.

How do I get my apps back after sync to MBP, Upgrade to iOS5?

After Sync'ing my iPhone 4 to MBP, I upgraded to iOS5 on the iPhone and Lion on the MBP. Now, my icons for iPhone apps are on the MBP. I don't see how to get them back to the iPhone. The former "Apply" button has disappeared. What is the new procedure?

Two things that I did wrong:
1) I was in iTunes, clicked on the left navigation bar for Apps and expected to see something like "Apply". This was incorrect. I needed to click on my iPhone under Device in the Left Nav bar, and then, click on Apps in the top nav listing. Then I could see my apps. And,
2) I could see that my apps had actually sync'd but they inexplicably sinc'd to a 3rd/4th/and 5th screen leaving the second screen nearly empty, so I thought they had never sync'd at all.
So, I'm back in business. Thanks to replyer.

When I went to reload my phone it gave the option of restoring with icloud or itunes so i chose itunes (assuming icloud would have many more bugs). Afterwards, I had no music and 6.6g of other.
What I did was go into itunes, clicked my iphone 4, and clicked on each of the top tabs (summery, info, apps, ringtones, music, etc.) and ensured I had them all clicked onto sync/selected playlist etc.As my phone restored, the 6.6g of other dropped to .99g of other.
Unfortunately, all my songs are gone but everything else seems to be in tact. I don't think there is any way around this issue for now with the new ios 5 update when syncing either an ipad or iphone. I have an ipad 2 but am going to hold off on updating it until apple gets the bugs sorted out because, I'm sure you will agree, getting the music back to where you want it to be is a total nightmare and takes ages to not only pick the right songs and artists to put on it, but also the ones that will fit correctly with the space, depending on the size you have.
