After syncing my phone my emails all showed up as unread. Even after reading them again! I still get the # of total emails in the red oval beside the envelope app picture. It used to only show the number of NEW emails. How do I get it to go back to that?? HELP!

Is there a setting in about:config that controls the length of the alltabs list? I would look for such a thing, and change the setting if it is there. A setting of -1 should make it limitless.

For your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader. To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

I found that clearing the "Up Next" list fixes the problem. But I have to clear that list everytime I just want to hear just that one album. Each time I select on song on the album, the "Up Next" list builds it's own list rather than just play through the album. I think this has something to do with the issue. How can I fix this?!?!

How to put an asterisk in the field label rather than on the field in Infopath

For a mandatory field in Infopath, we know that the red asterisk shows up always on the control. Is there a way we can make it appear on the label instead.

From your description, my understanding is that you want to put an asterisk in the field label rather than on the field in Infopath.
By default, the asterisk is on the field, not the field label. If you want to put an asterisk in the field label, per my knowledge, you need to develop the column to do it.
For developing InfoPath controls, I suggest you create a new thread on Visual Studio Tools for Office forum, more experts will assist you with Office development.

On my SmarterMail email system, every time I hit "reply" to draft a response to a message, Firefox has begun displaying a mass of HTML data from the original message, making it impossible to use, rather than just the simple text as previously.

I've been using this web-based email system for many years. Up until last week, every time I wanted to reply to a message, I simply clicked reply, and got a new message draft, with all the previous exchanges neatly tacked on the bottom in reverse chronological order. Now what happens is that I get a mass of HTML gobbledygook, which makes it very difficult to make out what the previous message said. This only affects the "view"ing of the new draft as when I send it, it comes out clean to the recipient. And it only affects my main desktop computer. (Windows XP).

This is obviously done using a valid AIM login name and the a href ="aim:goim? will launch an AIM Client and Message me.
As you say you would create a New Apple ID then this would be iCloud and an AIM valid Name (keeping the Password to 16 characters or less).
I am not aware of an iMessage equivalent that would do this to a Phone or iPad or to the Messages Beta as an iMessage.
To be clear.
What this HTML does is launch an AIM client (App) on the computer or the person viewing my page and then start a chat with the IM included in the HTML.
To do that it queries the AIM servers as to whether I am On line or Line and show a pic relevant to that status. (it does not stop Off Line IMs but I am set up for that. It also does not say if I am Available or Away.)
Edit to get html to show (not sure how to work this Raw code thing which dispalyed in the Reply wysiwyg screen.

Close tab groups actually closes tabs rather than just the grouping. How do I recover all tabs, not just the last 10? Pages and tabs are not in recent history.

I had a problem with tab groups - if I mistakenly close tab groups, I can only recover the last 10 tabs.
I had a window with many more than 10 tabs which I reopened each session by going to History > Recently Closed Windows. I knew this was risky - I could lose this if I did not keep it in an open window or recently closed window. So I was looking for a way to save this window with all the tabs. I looked into tab groups and, not knowing what I was doing, I closed the groups of tabs. There seems to be no recovery for other than the last 10 tabs. And open tabs are not necessarily in recent history if I have not accessed the tab and refreshed.

I don't use tab groups myself, but I know of a way to increase the number of closed tabs that Firefox remembers. Unfortunately, it's not retroactive...
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the following preferences and enter the preferred new value:

Regarding what is in history, by default, Firefox will load tabs on demand when you restore a session, rather than loading every single tab immediately. If you turned off that setting, or if you visited all the tabs, then those pages should be in history, but finding them amidst all the others would be quite a challenge...

Apps are in iTunes, are not part of the backup and when you updated the phone, you need to sync that content back.

When I add text to a PDF, I am forced to change the file name rather than just updating the current file. Why?

I have been doing the same process for months and until recently I could just add text to a pdf, click save, adobe would ask me if I wanted to replace the current file, I'd say yes and we would be done. Now I get a message that says "The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder." It does this about 70% of the time. The rest of the time it works like it used to.

You cannot skip arguments, you can either use the function with one
argument (just the required argument), or you have to provide all of them.
Also, it looks like you are trying to specify 20 parameters, even though
the function only takes 19. Try the following:

Is there a fix for making the reply message start at the top of the Page rather than the bottom of the page. No one ever thinks to look at the bottom of the page for a reply message to a E-mail.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". That is probably a setting in the web-mail software, like in their Preferences panel. There is no setting for that in Firefox.

When printing, how can I spool/process on the printer itself, rather than process the job in Illustrator?

Is this related to setting up a PPD?
We are using an HP Designjet T7100 plotter to print out large wall maps (108"x108") with incredible amounts of detail (about 30 layers, with varying transparency, and everything from mid-sized polygons and lines to thousands of points). It's an enormous job, I know, but certainly possible. The workflow involves creating EPS layers, and running them through Distiller to create PDFs which are obviously the map layers.
In the past, we have been successful in printing out high-resolution maps. We are now experiencing "Out of Memory" errors if we try to print from InDesign, and Illustrator takes well near an hour to process a map.
This morning, we printed a 42x60 map in low-res - the map printed successfully, albeit in about 20 mins. After printing, I went to the plotter, selected the job from the front panel, and re-printed it from there. It took 30 seconds to print.
Obviously, the job was already processed on the plotter and that made printing easier. My question is, is there a way to get the plotter to process jobs rather than Illustrator? How can I set spooling to be handled directly by the printer? Illustrator is using 2GB of memory just to process jobs - absolutely ridiculous.

I read your post about how you are trying to cancel a print job from the printer. I would like to know if you see an "X" on the printer display screen while the print job is in progress, and if so, try pressing the "X" and that should cancel the job.

Today's update seems to have modified the interface for the search engine bar to icons rather than a list. Is there any way I can change it back?

I know everyone says they "hate" changes to familiar interfaces at first before growing accustomed to them, but I just personally don't care for the icon-tray look in anything I use (it seems to defeat at least some of the point of using Internet on an actual computer rather than on a mobile phone). I also sort of have a lot of search engines up there, not all of which I can immediately recognize by icon. I know it's a minor inconvenience, but having to scroll over an icon to see the name of its associated search engine is pretty annoying after being used to having a nice list that just told you all of their names. Any way that I can change it back to the old list-interface?

How can i get the full URL of a page displayed rather than just the main website URL

I'm using Safari 8.0 on an iMac. When I go to a website I'm used to seeing a specific page URL displayed /changing as I navigate around a site through its various subsections etc. Now after updating to Yosemite all I get is the URL of the general website. This means I can't make specific references/links in work that I'm doing/sharing. There must surely be a way of getting the info into the bar so that I can copy it .... can anyone help please?

You need to use the propert PathKey; I think CONTENT_ACCESS should be correct.

After update to FF20, my tabs are all down along the left side, rather than at the top of the screen. How do I get them back to the top?

Firefox doesn't do this by default.<br />
This is likely changed by an extension (or theme), so you can check the settings in tab related extensions.
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")
