After testing audio buzzing sound remains

While  testing the sound levels the last one had a really loud buzz sound which continues long after the test should have ended.  I am using a Compaq Presario CQ56-115DX Notebook,  Windows 7- 64.

Hi dedeheniff, sorry to hear that you are having buzzing sound issues with you Presario CQ56-115DX.  Are you using external speakers on your computer?  If so, have you attempted to disconnect them and then run the test again? Are you getting any error messages on your computer at all?  If so what are they?  Please get back to me when you have a moment and I will be happy to research this issue.
Thanks in advance

What model laptop is this? Does the issue occur when you use headphones? If you could give me some more details I will be able to give you some more suggestions to resolve the issue.
    Thanks,

  • 24" iMac has buzzing sound every 5 min during sleep after upgrading to is x lion

I have a 24" iMac purchased new in 2009.  Haven't had a problem and usually put it to sleep mode at night with no problem.  I recently upgraded to OS X Lion and started noticing 2 problems during sleep mode.  One is a constant humming noise that wasn't there before, as if the computer is still running.  Second problem is that every 5 to 10 min or so, a slight buzzing sound pops up.
The noise poses as a real problem during the night as I have the iMac in my bedroom.  I'm forced to completely shut down very evening to avoid the noise.  Can anyone help?  Thank you in advance.

I have a similar problem on my early 2008 macbook pro. After the audio driver is idle for a minute or so (after an itunes playlist or youtube video ends) the headphone jack output starts buzzing horribly, to the point where i have to turn off my soundsystem or play a muted song to “wake up“ the card and stop the buzzing. This must be due to different power management parameters in Lion, as it started immediately after the upgrade and disappeared after I reformatted and returned to Snow Leopard. Maybe there is a way to force the audio hardware to stay active?

  • Audio line-in buzzing sound

hello guys ! i just bought a macbook last month and currently still learning on how to get used to mac.as a guitarist im very exited to try out the GarageBand.after i plug in the audio jack from my guitar to the audio line-in port,i found out that there is no sound from the strings of my guitar.there is only the buzzing sound.the input level also shows a not static level instead of steady level.what do i have to do friends ??
forgive me of my language as english is not my main language
    thanks !!

    Hello,
Most likely, the output from your guitar is too low and therefore sounds like silence from your Macbook. You will need to amplify your guitar output to work with your MacBook. Since you are a guitarist, you might already have the right equipment--connect your guitar to a preamp, and then to the macbook. If you don't have a preamp, I think you can plug your guitar into a regular amp, and then connect that to the macbook.
    * There are two kinds of input signals, distinguished by levels. Commonly, they are called "mic-level" and "line-level." Most guitars pickups will output mic-level, which needs to be amplified to line-level to work with computers. MacBooks only accept line-level inputs.

I have used an acoustic guitar w/ preamp with Garage band on macbook, so I can tell you that it definitely works.
    Rock on!

  • MacBook Pro 13" Audio Output sound quality terrible after Lion upgrade

    Hi guys,
I have recently upgraded my 2011 MBP 13 to Lion, and ever since have had terrible audio out sound quality, i.e. it is 'grainy' and full of feedback - very unpleasant to listen to.
Is anyone else in the same boat and does anyone have the solution to my problem?
    Thanks,
    Sam

Sorry for the late reply, yes mine does does recover but I still think it is the same issue with different levels of severity.  This is a guess but possibly my higher spec Retina MacBook Pro can work its way through the issue where your 13" MBP can't or can't in a reasonable amount of time.
I have also thought that it is related to window server and was wondering if someone else would bring it up as semi-confirmation since 2 people would have to came to the same conclusion, yes I am weird you don't have to tell me.  I am thinking it is possibly related to the lower priority for background apps; it gets caught thinking every window is in the background, chokes, and does not know what to do which is why the cursor will still move since it never gets "backgrounded".  As for the caps lock, it is pretty much hardware based which is why we can have a virtual machine not read the caps lock on someimes if it is turned on when the VM is started.
I wish Apple would have more testers so things like this would not slip through.  I see more complaints like this when there are external displays on MacBooks than single display iMacs/Minis.  Something that may not be tested enough since it requires more specific circumstances.
Sorry, I don't know how to restart window server without the terminal.  I would have loved to test the theory since that would answer the question of what is at fault quickly.

  • No audio on render, only buzzing sound.

I managed to fix this problem before, possibly with the right codec download. but its back. It may be one of my codecs was a trial and stopped working, but i tried dling different codecs and no luck so far.
Here is what my cs5.5 does:
Queuing export never works, it queues but never starts, even when I start the queue.
Regular exporting sits and thinks for almost ten minutes encoding, then says
    Premeire pro debug event
Premeire pro has encountered an error
    .. \.. \Src\WinFile.cpp-785
then instantly starts rendering after I close this window, and exports video ok, but sound is just a buzzing sound.

    >codec download
    What codec, and from where?
If you installed something like the K-Lite codec pack, you may need to reformat your hard drive and install everything fresh... at least according to several messages I have read

  • After a successful home button repair, I've got a buzzing sound when I make or receive calls. No problem with the speaker as I can listen to online radio stations and my music.

After a successful home button repair on my iPhone 4, I've got a buzzing sound when I make or receive calls. No problem with the speaker as I can listen to online radio stations and my music.

I guess your definition of a "successful repair" is different from most people's.
If you got it serviced by Apple, take it back to them.
If you had it serviced by a 3rd party, Apple won't touch it. Take it back to whoeever fixed it for you.

  • Horrifyingly loud buzz sound happens after I burn and eject a disc, WHY??

    Hey everyone,
So this insanely loud, like blowing out my speakers loud, buzzing sound, comes out of my speakers after I rip a cd and eject it. Has this ever happened to anyone???
    Here are the specific details:
This has happened only twice before, but just happened twice tonight.
The sound itself is a short burst of noise, like if you ever plugged into a guitar amp with the volume at max.
It only makes that sound when I remove the CD, if it sits halfway in the drive it wont make the noise till I pull it out.
I am using iTunes on an Intel based iMac.
Its almost 1am and it really is scary and disconcerting when this happens, especially because it happened twice in one night! Imagine listening quietly to music and then this MASSIVE loud noise blasts through your speakers late at night. Its like my computer just yelled me...
    Anyways, thanks your time
    Best,
    -Reid

To see if this is something actually going through the iMac's sound system (and not some hardware malfunction), mute the sound in System Preferences Sound pane. Then do whatever it is that makes the sound occur"? Does the sound still occur, or is it now muted. Actually, you don't need to mute the sound, just make it lower. That way, you can tell if the sound still occurred. Is the loudness affected by the sound volume setting?

  • Is it common that iPhone would make buzzing sound after plugged into a charger?

Hi, I have recently noticed that my iPhone would make buzzing sound through the headphone jack after plugged into a charger. I am not sure if this is common among other iPhones.

Yeah it is. Also tried with computer, dock, etc.

  • Buzzing sound replacing normal sound after comp is on 20 min

When in Itunes or playing World of Warcraft the sound disappears and is replaced by a buzzing sound.
I spoke with Blizzard entertainment over it because I played the game so much and most of the issue is when I am playing the game. They said that my driver must be outdated and should be updated, the one for the sound card. I told them about my comp and they said check the preferences to find the sound card than check their site for a link to the sound card provider's website for a driver update. I can't find that information anywhere so can anyone here help me fix my sound issue?
    thanks

    Run /Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup
Select Properties for "Build in Output"
Under Audio Output bottom right select "Internal Speakers"
Set the Format to 44100.00 Hz 2ch-16bit
    Close the application

  • When  i play a song from my itunes library, there is a short "buzzing" sound about every 20-30 seconds. I had the problem before and thought it was fixed after verifying that itunes was my default player. Any ideas to fix the problem now??

when i play a song from my itunes library, there is a short "buzzing" sound about every 20-30 seconds. This same thing happened some time ago, and i thought i had it sovled by verifying that itunes was my default player. Howerver, it has started up again. Any ideas how to fix the problem??

I am having the same problem I have over 11.5 GB of .tmp files, many 1000s. Here is a thread I have found with some more info:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=824308
That thread is almost a year old so I'm not holding out hope for a fix from apple. I'm going to try deleting them and see how it goes...

  • No audio or sound in After Effects CC

I have imported footage that works fine in Prelude but not at all well in AE. There is always a problem with the imported footage. But mainly there is never any audio or sound. I have read a few other post and tried the recommended solutions to no avail.

We need to know a lot more if we're going to help you. Please provide answers to the questions listed here: "FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?"

  • Phone makes buzzing sounds when on phone.

I've noticed that my phone makes a buzzing/clicking sound in the ear piece when i take or receive calls. At first it sounded like i was near a speaker, phones cause the speaker to buzz when on it, but it was coming from the ear piece, so it was really strange. Then i started to hold down the black part on the back of the phone and the noise completely stopped. After testing it a few times i realized it is the black part on the back of the phone that is clicking when im on the phone and for some reason its makes a clicking in the ear piece. If i hold down the black part on the back, when im on the phone there is no clicking sound in the ear piece. Any one else have this problem and better yet, have a solution? Maybe get a case for it or something?

Try this tip with foil once just to see if it stops it. If it works, you can put the iPhone in a case and no one will see the tape.

  • Chromebook 14 continuous buzzing sound through external speakers when powering on

I have this consistent buzzing sound when I power on my Chromebook.  Every time I power on, an electrical buzz through my external speakers (plugged in to the headphone outlet) remains until I completely unplug the speakers cable from the Chromebook, and then plug it back in.  Unplugging and plugging the cable back in always stops the noise.
Is there anything I can do to keep my external speakers plugged in without the buzzing noise starting when the Chromebook is powered up?

The speakers are made by Creative, Inspire t3000.
    1.  Yes, they are powered, so they are always plugged in to a wall outlet and I leave them on always.
    2.  Yes, they are normally the speakers for my desktop Windows system.  I've don't have this problem with that PC.
    3.  No, I don't hear the same buzzing sound from the Chromebook's built-in speakers.
    4.  No, I have not tried another set of speakers yet.  I don't have any others at the moment.
    5.  No, there was no software with the speakers when I bought them IIRC.
There is a loud buzzing thump noise made each time I unplug or plug in the speakers to the Chromebook even if it is powered off.  That's always been there.
The buzzing noise appears for about a second whenever I power down the Chromebook, that happens a second or two right after it is powered off.  Also, if I turn the volume control down for the speakers, the buzzing sound volume is lowered too. But if I turn the volume down to where I don't hear the buzzing noise, I can barely hear the sound.
Update: I noticed after fiddling with the speaker volume control that the buzzing sound goes away now after about 30 seconds.  It didn't just a few days ago.  And it never had the continuous buzzing sound at all when I first bought the chromebook and used these speakers with it periodically.
    Thanks.

  • Windows 10 and the buzzing sounds (and what should be done)

    Hi
A week ago i bought myself a HP Pavilion X2 11 inch tablet/laptop and upgraded to Windows 10 (as was advertised).
After the upgrade i get a buzzing sound when i use the Windows 10 apps, Youtube or any integrated program.
After a week of investigation i found out that the driver that is used for the Realtek IDT HD Audio is packaged by HP in 9th of July but the underlying driver from Realtek is from December 2014.
Realtek and Microsoft fixed the issue with the Realtek driver published on 3/2/2015.
Realtek HD Audio fix for Windows 10
So HP will need to repackage it's Realtek HD Audio driver for it's machines to make it fully Windows 10 compliant.
"So HP, is there any update on the way that gives us full Windows 10 compatability?"

    Hi ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 11-h100eo x2 PC and Windows 10 updates for your Audio drivers. Here is a link to your Driver page. The update you need it Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver under the Chipset.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, it was included in your system. You could run that for any updates that might be needed. When the Windows 10 software was install it should have done all the updates that would have been needed. Hope this helps. Thanks.
