After the most recent update for my Wndows 7 computer, every time I load a page I get a Java script error message. How can I fix this?
The pop-up window states Error: Syntax error. This happens on almost every page that I load. It's also happening on my windows xp laptop... and it seems that it has something to do with the most recent Microsoft updates that just went through.
hello Kakkirox, this error message is likely caused by your social fixer addon. please go to http://socialfixer.com/blog/category/releasenotes/ and update it to the newest version - this should fix the issue...

The icons for links are gone. In their place are hyphenated boxes. After I click on an existing link once the real icon comes back. For Example: I have several bookmark links for Amazon. Those links now have hyphenated boxes as their icons not the Amazon icon. Once I click on an existing link the Amazon icon is activated and replaces the hyphenated boxes. Literally EVERY bookmark / link icon is now a hyphenated box till I click once. How can I fix this? I'm running Firefox 8.0 on windows XP. This problem started this week. Before and After upgrading to firefox 8.0 from 7.xxxx. See screen shot example.jpg i've attached below. Double click to enlarge it for better viewing. Any input welcomed. Not a major problem but I would like to have the icons back.

MaxboydThanks. That solved it. I had my doubts since I wasn't concerned about my lost bookmarks. I was concerned about the broken functionality. In any event, restoring from a backup solved both the functionality and the lost bookmarks. I appreciate the response!

After the most recent update to 11.1, my podcasts will no longer sync. I've clicking on the manual sync button, but nothing happens. Any suggestions for me?
I figured out the problem. You must click on settings under each Podcast and re-subscribe.

My phone will not let me download the most recent update for iOS 7.1. It says I need a wifi connection and will not allow me to push the 'Download & Install' button, even when I am at home and my wifi is on. How do I fix this?
Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.

After the most recent update, I can no longer access stand alone GPS services. What's up with that? I am now forced to use google location services which use up some of my data allotment.
ddmathias, I want to make sure all services are working correctly on your phone. What GPS services were you using before the update happened? What kind of issues are you having with the services? Do you get any kind of errors? Please keep us posted.

Why can I no longer access the movies and tv shows I’ve already purchased in iTunes after the update? It was not until the most recent update as on 2/1/13 that I started having this issue. Please correct this so I can use what I paid for. Thanks
Same problem here, Apple, I'm pretty upset at the moment. My daughter's 12th birthday, and she wants to watch a movie we purchased through your software.
We love the normal apple usage...but, since your hardware and software are so stringently ruled...I have some expectations on the fact that it will actually work after the updates.
Customer service outside the apple store has been suspect for some time.
Please step up here, we've invested quite a lot in you, and we're feeling a bit let down at the moment.
No notice, no warnings, for all the messages you do send out, "hey the stuff you bought from us and can only play it back on us isn't going to be working for a while"...would be nice.
Or just fix it.

Photos are meant to be uploaded to your computer for archival and storage. Certainly before doing something as major as a software update, you've done this, correct? In this case, your photos should be residing safely on your computer and you can just synch them back.

It seems your iPhone is slowing down and not responding frequently. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your backup, you would then want to consider restoring the device and setting it up as new. Below I have linked to article which offers guidance on both of these restore methods:

At first I thought the site was down but my husband is able to play on his Windows XP computer. I tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome and get the same response. This only happened after the latest security update so I'm wondering if there is some setting I need to change. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't have virus software that would prevent it from running. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me figure out how to fix this problem.I think this is a Java problem. I went to Firefox and Mozilla home page and checked to see that my plug ins were up to date. Firefox said it had turned off my Java because it was not up to date. When I went to the Java page to update it, it only said Mac has its own Java updates and suggested I update through Apple. Unfortunately, when I checked to see if Apple has any updates for my Java, there weren't any.
After seeing that, I went to the link it had for "upgrade to the latest version" and this is what Java says:

When I installed the recent updates for Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, my iCal calendar was wiped out, as was the calendar on my iPhone. I'd rather use iCal than Office and was attempting to phase Office out altogether. Now, all of my information is on the Office calendar but not iCal. The iCloud version of my iCal calendar is not up to date. In any event, I couldn't figure out how to send that info to the iCal on my mac or my phone. How can I sync my Office calendar info to iCal? If that's not possible, how can I get my Office calendar to sync with my iPhone? All of my sync services are set up in iTunes and on my phone. This happened to me once before and I spent hours on the phone with Apple and on the web trying to work it out. I NEED MY CALENDAR!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

The other concern I have is that Office 2011 requires an Intel-based Mac and you posted in the older iMac (pre-Intel or "PPC") forums. If you have an Intel-based iMac (Apple menu > About this Mac..." will say "Intel" if you do) then I think you'll get faster and more accurate ansers to other questiosn in the Apple forums for newer iMacs here:

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you. -
when looking for a website in bookmarks using OS 10.6.8 on Mac Book Pro all the symbols for the website have been deleted and requires much more time locating the bookmark. What can be done to restore or reactivate the symbol?

After the most recent update, the screen went white on my touch. Any one else have this prob?
After recent update of my 4th gen iPod touch, the screen went white. I can still see the background a little but, there is a screen "burn in" as well. I restored it but it did nothing to fix it. AHHHH!
That happens sometimes.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
