After transportation into prod datasource showing under DEV client

Hi Frnds,
I am transporting a cube with data flow before. After successful transportation of the objects Datasource showing is under DEV client not under Prod client.
What might be the problem? Whether Am I missing any steps?

Hi,
There should be 2 Columns: 1) Orginal Logical system: Here you should enter the Source system's Logical name of BI DEV System( i.e DEV R/3 )
2) Target Source system :Here you should enter the Source system's Logical name of BI Prod System( i.e Prod R/3 )

I have already tried with Query Designer --> open Queries .... there were no queries and even i am unable to find infoarea's (but i can see the infoarea's in RSA1) and searched with Metadata Repository.. there were no queries

Scheduling transports into prod

Hello,
We are running Solution Manager 7.0 SP15 and we have a requirement to import normal corrections into the production systems on Sunday morning at 4:30.
I for one do not want to wake up every Sunday to change the maintenance cycle of each system to "go-live" and then back to "development with release" in order to allow the transports to production.
There must be a way to automate/schedule this process.
Management wants to use only normal corrections for the Sunday transports.

Why would you want to change your Maintenance Cycle back to in development with release?
Once you finish your maintenance cycle every week you should create a new one
In order to move the transports into Q or P automatically you can either schedule a job for the report /TMWFLOW/SCMA_BTCH_SYNC_UC which runs every 10mins and thus imports all transport for a specific Project for a particular System and Client.
Another possibility is to schedule the automatic mass import of all transport in the Q/P-import queue, via STMS. This will schedule the Report TMS_BCI_START_SERVICE (jobname TMS_0000000001TMS_TP_IMPORT)

Service Group is blank after transporting into IST system

Hi All,
We have 2 CE 7.2 systems as DEV and IST which are well connected to NWDI. In DEV NWDI track, we have many WDJava components which consume web services available on DEV system. For these services, we have created a Service Group which has all these services inside it. IN DEV, I have assigned the local system to all these services inside the service group and it works fine.
Then we released all our components to IST system and this service group also got deployed in IST. I configued the service group also in IST to point it to proper system. Then some how after releaseing some new activites, all the references in IST service group are valished but the consumer proxies in IST for these services show they are part of service group.
We released new activity for service group also from Dev to IST but still the service group in IST is blank.
Can anyone explain why this could have happened and any solution for this?

Please make sure that all the report elements are collected while transporting, because some elements might have got missed or not collected in the transport request. You can collect the same report again in a new transport and check it.

Bizarre looping -- First Menu after "Warning" Into Quicktime halts playback under software players

Creating a DVD under CS5, and also tried creating a version in CS6. Same behaviour:
We want to play a 20 second "WARNING" as First Play, so I made a graphic, fadeup/fadedown, compressed an m2v of it, and even a silent ac3, and a timeline. From there, we want to go to a Main Menu with a couple of buttons... the usual, Play, Special Features, Chapters... The concept is to have a Quicktime running behind it with natural sound, so we have a 28 second menu, set up to play #infinite, loop point 00:00:00:00 and a duration of 28 seconds.
What is confounding is that this functions exactly as advertised in the Encore simulator, and on consumer DVD players... but NOT on any PC, Apple or Windows, either the Apple DVD PLayer or Windows Media Player. What the physical disk does is -- play the Warning, which is great.. switches to the Main Menu, plays it once and quits. No more anything. Black. Operation Not Available.
What is also galling is that if you do not allow the main menu to play all the way to its 28 second conclusion, the disk functions normally, even when you return either with a "Back" button from a discrete "Main Menu" command found on any other menu -- it loops forever over its 28 second duration...

Ask in the Encore forum and provide a screenshot of your flowgraph and the menu actions. this usually happens when an action is not set.

Unable to Create Transport request in more then one DEV client (in ChaRM)

Hi,
We are having 2 Landscapes,
DV1 (100) --> QA1(100) --> PR1(100)
DV1 (200)--> QA1(200) --> PR1(100)
Both these landscapes are added in the ChaRM Project landscape. When we have created a correction and created a Workbench request, we were getting the option to choose the DEV system and we chose DV1(200). When we tried to create a TR for Customizing in DV1(100) it did not provide the pop up for DEV systems and directly created the customizing request also in DV1(200). We were unable to even create the TR in DV1 (100) - using the task 'Create Transport request' in the Task plan for the corretcion (It gave an Error that the DV1(200) is the Development system for this change).
is this the standard behaviour? can't we have TRs from different client/ development systems under the same correction?

As i said earlier you will get option to choose system for creating Transport Request only in case of normal corr
but in case of urg corr
you need to give ibase for production of the cocerned landscape
e.g if u have ecc and bi and want to create transport in ecc then giv ibase for prd of ecc only
because you will not get pop up in urg corr

Corrupted pages after transporting

When we transport the page Project Details from our DEV to our QAS portal environment the lay-out is destroyed. After the transport we have to setup the lay-out of the page in the QAS environment manually. Also the difference between hide or display of individual iviews is not transported to the QAS portal.
All described content is standard SAP content from Business Package for Projects 50.3.

We need to activate the process chain after transporting into target systems.
Try to activate once,if any errors were there its going to point at.
Based on that you can re transport the chain again without leaving any objects,

QA Testing and transport to PROD

Can anyone explain in detail the steps involved in QA testing till transport to PROD.
objects are : new report , new table , zFM
Is there anything specific to be done in QA for new tables.Or it can simply be transported.
Is there anything to be done after transport to PROD.
what all should be done in QA Testing?pls explain with terms involved(variants etc.)

for report and FM nothing specific...
for Tables... first the request of the structure need to be moved and then the table contents... else the other way... the transport will fails..

Two nodes under Transport Request for Datasources

Hi all,
I need to transport 3.x DataSource from DEV to PROD.
Using TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS I have added all required Datasources in my transport request.
In SE10 I can see 2 nodes under my transport request.
DataSource Replica
DataSource (Active Version)
All Datasources are shown in DataSource Replica but a few of them (not sure why) in DataSource (Active Version).
I wanted to know the if this is the right way to transport ???
Will it result in an error while transporting to PROD ???
Please help me in clearing my doubts.

Hi,
U need to transport the Data source replica as well when ever u transport ur DS for the first time.. along with the ur DS...
So make sure that u have collected IS, DS, DS replica, TR, UR, IO if any and targets.

Test System (BQ1) Objects showing up wrong Source System after Transport.

Hi Experts,
We are working on IS-U BI7.0 Project. We have finished with our Development and have transported the DataSources, Transformations and DTPs from Development (BD1) into Test (BQ1) Systems.
We have entered values in the Conversion of Logical Source Systems correctly.
When we select the DataSource and Click Object Directory Entry from the Extras Menu, we found that the Original Source System is defined as BQ1 instead of BD1 (Development System), which is where the Object is getting Transported from.
We have implemented an SAP Note:1008633 (Incorrect Source System after Transport (RSTRAN 514) but couldn't resolve the issue.
We basically want all the Objects in the BQ1 (Test System) showing the Original Source System as BD1 (Development System) but only the DataSources and it's connected Transformations and DTPs are originating from the BQ1 (Test) System itself (The Transformations when Transported from BD1 to BQ1 are Transported with a different Technical Name which is very strange).
Had anyone faced similar problem and if so, what was the effective solution implemented.
Any help in this regard is very much appreciated.

Urgent Dev into PROD

I installed OBIEE11g in m y prod machine successfully after that i tried moving all the files from DEV into PROD
below ways
Export user and Group in console dev (import in prod) using console.
Application roles and Policies (system-jazn-data.xml under user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/config/fmwconfig) copied from dev then place into PROD.
RPD uploaded PROD in EM
Catalog Moved dev to PROD.i set path also in instanceconfig.xml
Then
In my dev Administrator is the owner(BIadmini priviles).After moving PROD.When i login Administrator he is not have all the privileges.Even when i try to login weblogic user also not a admin user.
Where is the problem and what i missed.Could you please help me urgent.

Transport Package doesn't show up in pending imports after Package upload.

I am importing WPC web content (Transport package) (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/46/77da3bb8036ef0e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm ). Transport Package doesn't show up in pending imports after Package upload. I repeated the package upload. Still its not showing under "Pending Imports"
Anything else has to be done while importing a transport package (wpc web content).

SAP Homepage customisation: Sercice not showing after transporting

Hello experts,
we have a very simple portal role in Dev system (role was copied from SAP ESS role) where added transaction iView. In the backend this is configured using PTARQ tcode and configuring a custom subarea and a custom service.
This all works fine in Dev system and it also works fine in Qual system.
However, when we do the same transport (portal role export import + PTARQ normal transport request) into Prod system, then the subarea is NOT shown, instead a record working time iview from the sap standard is shown.
PCD location etc should all be OK, because, IT IS working fine in Dev and Qual system.
Would really appreciate if someone could point us into the right direction of how to resolve this please.

Can you check the back end service configuration . And also check the service which maintained in back end are pointing a PCD location is standard one or custom one.
Because this type of issue happened only wron PCD location has maintained only.

How to get DEV Integration Server into Prod SLD?

in a two-tier landscape I need to define transport targets in SLD. Both PI syetems have their own SLD. In each SLD there is just the Integration server of the corresponding PI system. How to get the DEV Integration Server into PROD sld? Manually?

that is what I wanted to know. So there seem to be two possibilities:
- Creating the DEV Integration Server in productive SLD manually
- Exporting the DEV Integration Server from DEV SLD and import it into productive SLD.
I tried importing / exporting SLD content some time ago. AFAIK there is no exporting single technical / business systems, you can just export all the content together from a SLD?
