after trying all kind of possible solutions Itunes cannot connect to the store. Windows 7
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

ITunes cannot connect to the store, nor can I activate my Touch.
My iTunes hasn't been able to connect to the store EVER on this machine. Naturally, without a functioning iPod or iPhone, this hasn't bothered me. Of course, now that I've got a touch, it's a little annoying.
I can't activate my touch, and I can't get at my purchases.
Here is the log from the diagnostic. I have tried flushing the DNS cache, I do not run a firewall, I have reinstalled iTunes (wiping it's registry details as I went), I have activated port forwarding on my router to some port I saw suggested. Please help!

Can you try these entries in command prompt (Run as Administrator for Win7/Vista) one at a time?
ipconfig /release
then
ipconfig /renew
restart computer
ipconfig /flushdns
totally shut down computer then restart.
netsh winsock reset all
restart computer
Now test your iTunes again. If that does not work, uninstall your Antivirus program and test again. -

ITunes cannot connect to the store, connection was refused
I have used iTunes and the same iPod successfully for 2 years. A few days ago, I attempted to purchase a song in the iTunes store and it said I had to upgrade to iTunes 7.5 first. I did that and my library and songlists are fine but it says I can't connect to the iTunes Music Store; Network Connection refused. I have not changed any firewall settings. I've searched the internet and can't find any solutions. HELP! I am on Windows XP, I have checked Proxy settings, Windows firewall, I can connect to any other website. Any suggestions?
i have the exact same problem.
i have contacted the support staff and they didnt help.
on mine, the problem was that itunes had changed the network device when downloading the new itunes.
---this can be seen by running diagnostics (itunes>help>run diagnostics), then comparing the network device found to your usual one (start>connect to> show all connections--- see the difference?)-----
i tried to disable the unused network device (aka connection) make sure that the one you want is defalt, then reinstall itunes.
---disabling the unused network device is tricky, you have to go on Properties and click about.---
although the connection for me is now correct, it is still not connecting.
none of the dns flushing and firewall allowances work.
this i think is a new problem that apple is not picked up on, people need to email the support team and ring up.
hope it sort of helped, but its still not working! -
Itunes cannot connect to the store
Only happen after upgrade to 10.6 and with Websense prozy on?
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Itunes cannot connect to the store today
I have not been able to connect to the itunes store through my itunes. I just downloaded the latest and asked it to fix any files, etc. Still, it won't open the store through itunes. I have done nothing to the program itself. Last week, though, we tried to connect 2 ipod touches. Though both could be synced, it took forever and seemed quite temperamental. However, neither could be backed up to the computer, whatever that means.
Try performing a soft reset on your device:
Hold the home and power/sleep buttons together. You may see 'slide to power off'. Keep holding until an Apple logo appears. When you see the Apple logo, let go straight away. -

Make sure that you can access the Internet on your computer or device.
Make sure that your computer meets the iTunes minimum system requirements.
Make sure that your operating system is up-to-date:
Done all of the above...everything is in order, still cannot connect to the store. I have the 5th gen iPod and $50 iTunes gift card that I cannot use(been trying now for 6 days). I am going to return both of these items if I cannot find a fix for this. When I called Apple (after wating 42 min. for a live person) I was told to run the APPLE Software Update and turn off location services then restart my computer. There were no available updates. The iPod touch I got on Christmas day. The iTunes app was downloaded the same day. Since day 1 I have not been able to connect. I also followed lllaass's advice and followed instructions on the following 2 websites.
http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/20/fix-for-cannot-connect-error/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIUitRyZS6U
After restarting my computer:
From the iTunes app I click on the 'iTunes Store'
A new window opens and I get the following message:
This Apple ID has not yet veen used with the iTunes Store.
Please review your account information
So I click on 'Review' and am taken to a crude screen that says
Welcome to the iTunes Store
With an Apple ID, you can download the latest music, videos, and more.
To begin creating your Apple ID, click Continue.
So I click on 'Continue'
A pop up window says:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
And the only option I am left with is to click 'OK'
After every fix this same scenerio just loops and loops and loops -

trying to set up my tiscali email address on an ipad mini, after trying to verify, message comes up stating "cannot connect using SSL"
Not sure what the shortcut is. I'm just going, Settings > Mail > Add Account > Gmail
That is the GMail shortcut. That should work. Just for testing, use the "Other" shortcut.
Settings / Mail / Add Account / Other
Name: <put your name>
Email [email protected]
Incoming server: pop.gmail.com
Login: [email protected]
Password: yourpassword
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com

Hit SAVE.
It should set itself up correctly without you having to specify anything else. Try that. -
Itunes wont connect to the store using proxy
Ok so here is whats happening, we have a proxy server that requires authentication for the users to access the internet. this is done through an auto configuration script, after doing a diagnostic and seeing itunes said it wasnt using a proxy i assumed that was the problem and put in the proxy info manually and made sure internet worked as it was supposed to still (it did) however this didnt fix itunes but it now listed that it was using a proxy in the diagnostics.
previously when you opened itunes it would pop up the window asking for authentication however now using version 10.1 it no longer does this and just errors out saying it cannot connect to the store.
being that i am the admin here i can allow internet access without a proxy on a per IP case, when doing this the itunes store connects just fine if you disable the proxy settings, however the computer this needs to work on also needs the proxy authentication
so basically, does anyone know how to get itunes to actually use a proxy that requires authentication?Hello,
I think I found the solution, at last a solution that worked for me.
I had to set an option in the Internet Explorer (works in Versions 7 amd 8). I'm not sure about the correct translation, because I use the german languange Version of Internet Explorer, but ist should read something like this: "Use HTTP 1.1 for Proxyconnections" in the Advanced/Settings for HTTP 1.1-Section of Internet Explorer Settings.
Works well for us on 2 Machines and the behavior can be reproduced by checking/unchecking the option.
Hope that helps, kind regards,
Alex. -
Sync failure because itunes cannot connect to the sync server PLEASE HELP!!
HELP! I cannot get my info back into my iphone.
During sync I get an error message that says 'sync failure because itunes cannot connect to the sync server''
I have had this problem today so i restored the iphone and it has synched the ipod portion but will not sync calenders, contacts , email accounts or bookmarks.
The restore erased all of these and now i cannot replace them.
Thank you in advance for any help in solving this crisis.I had the same problem (not from day one but within the past couple months). Anyway, I wish I had made note of everything that the quick-and wonderful-Apple support did when I finally decided to give them a call today-after getting tired of not being able to update calendars and contacts and not seeing any helpful info here-unfortunately, I continue that legacy (as I can't remember everything I had to do to fix-sorry) Ultimately involves creating a new user I called mine IPHONE...then doing some of this and that-and finally merging info and going to "Terminal" and typing in some code...then deleting some of the old files, Took about twenty-minutes on the phone. Sorry I didn't think ahead for others and write al this down...but just know the Apple people were great. I talked to a gal for about ten minutes very methodically trouble-shooting. When nothing worked she shifted me over to a real nice guy who calmly and politely guided me through all the steps to fix this annoying problem. I hate to say it, but just get on the phone and-if you have the same experience as me-you will get 5 Star treatment and your sync will work like a dream. Every time I have to contact Apple Support (which isn't that often) my experience is nothing but the best. Unbelievable customer service! Methodical, Personable, and truly knowledgeable! There is a fix and it works like a dream. Not that hard but you'll need customer service to walk you through it-as I can't (sorry I can't be of much help...) Good luck!

After iOS 8.02 download, my iPhone 5s cannot connect to the internet.
After downloading iOS 8.02, my iPhone 5s cannot connect to the internet. What should I do to try to resolve this?
I'm having the same issue! Downloaded iOS 8.02 to iPhone 5 and no 3G internet connection! Spent 3 hours on a Saturday trying to get internet connectivity. Talked to Apple tech support and my service provider. This is the worst operating system ever! Do not upgrade to it. I will never upgrade to a new operating system on my iPhone again. May just start buying Samsung now.
