After two days Ipad is completely dead does not charge or turn on

Purchased new ipad with retina display and was working fine til tried to turn on today and nothing. does not charge or turn on HELP!!!

If you did run the battery totally down, it can take at least half an hour after you plug it in before it shows any signs of life.
ANd in trying to recharge it, are you plugging it into the wall with its supplied charger? If you're trying via USB then it may take hours and hours before it shows any sign of charging. Most USB ports don't put out enough power to meet the iPad's power requirements.

I have had the same problem with my Xperia L just 2 weeks after i bought it... I try all things mentioned above but nothing helped so I take it back to T-Mobile (they pass it to Sony repair centar) they said that it's battery problem but after long 10days they give me brand new XL. It was some problem in matherboard.
Interesting fact is that they give me unlocked phone(first one was locked on T-Mobile).

  • Student CC order pending for two days on Mac, but order does not show up on account.

I payed for a CC student account two days ago and have yet to have access to any of the applications. When I track the order using the order number it says the order is pending, but when I check my order history on my account no orders show up. What do I need to do? My credit card has not be charged, and the payment shows up as "pending" on my online bill pay. How long does this process usually take? Im really hoping to have access to these apps today/ I needed access yesterday.  Thanks!

  • Ipad (first generation) Battery does not charge. Need help

I tried Mac, pc and electric sockets; doesn't work. Same ports and cable I can use to charge my iPhone 4, so I know that cables and USB ports that I tried are OK.
I have 20% batter left. If I turn Ipad off and connected it to the USB cable, the Ipad automatically turns on but still doesn't charge. Also, I the iPad is not getting detected by the iTunes.
Does it mean that my iPad battery is dead?

Try a Reset - (For those who do not know, hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 15 seconds.) even do it a couple of times.
I am a little confused as to when you see or do not see the battery symbol etc etc. You mentioned a 20% battery strength and if that still applies then the following comment would be of little relevance (it may take completely drained batteries 20 minutes or more to indicate that they're actually charging).
As to the iPad not showing up in iTunes, try a different USB port, even a number of times.

  • IPod does not charge or turn on but is recognized in Windows and iTunes

A couple of days ago after disconnecting my iPod in iTunes the iPod display went blank. It will not turn on nor will it display if it is charging if it is connected to the wall power adapter. I tried reseting it and I let it sit for 24 hours like the apples website said and nothing happened. What did happen is that Windoes recognizes it and so does iTunes and the hard drive spins and is acessible. I let reset it and let it sit another 24 hours and it still does not turn on nor will the power adapter recognize it. The display does not appear broken and it physically looks good.
    Any ideas?

The only thing you haven't mentioned is whether you've tried to restore it. If that doesn't work, it looks like it will need service.
Restoring the iPod to factory settings.
Put the iPod into disk mode first.
    Putting iPod into disk mode.
Restoring erases the iPod hard drive, so you will need to reload your songs from iTunes.

  • IPhone 4 does not charge, or turn on.

My brother gave me his iPhone 4.  He told me it has power issues but it don't turn on, it does not take a charge.  I've seen videos and post about people and there iPhone 4 has the "Blank Screen of Death".  I cannot reboot the iPhone 4.  I'm sure you have to do something like hold the power button and the home button but it don't work.  Can someone tell me how exactly how to do this because it's very confusing.  The iPhone 4 was last turned on last month but it just shut off and stopped working and stopped charging.  I need someone to tell me how to resolve this because I don't have time to go into a Apple Store or AT&T Store.  I'm barrowing a charger from a friend and it is a Belkin iPod/iPhone Charger. It may have soemthing to do with it.  Does the iPhone 4 charger different from any other older model iPhone?  I need someone to help me.  Thanks!

This happened with my 3GS. What I did is master default it, to do that hold down the lock screen key and the home key at the same time. The little apple symbol should pop up. For some reason, it just shut itself off and wouldn't do anything. Holding down both, from what I understand, kind of resets it without deleting anything. It worked with mine, I hope this helps with yours!

  • My Toshiba Satellite does not charge or turn on.

Hiya. I'm fourteen, and I own a Toshiba Satellite C650D. This was my first ever laptop. On Christmas Eve, It shut down once by itself. I thought it might've overheated so I turned it on again and it was fine. Later on it shut off again. It didn't turn back on.. It's been stuck off this whole time. I really liked my computer and I refused all other laptops, I only want my Toshiba. The LED charge light doesn't turn on if I plug in the Brand new power cord. I tried doing a power cycle more than three times, I took it apart and dusted off the motherboard, I found no cracks in it. A little bit of pieces tumbled out, But I suspected that was from the broken hinge. The pieces that fell out were tiny pieces of plastic, and one small metal loop with three tiny arms and one medium arm. I'm not sure if this is a busted socket or anything, But I think it's the broken hinge. I really want my laptop back, It was absolutely amazing, and All I've been stuck with this whole time is an IBM thinkpad. If ANYONE can help me please do. I cannot afford to go to a service center, order parts or a disk, and my dad said he was going to find me a new laptop on ebay. I don't want a new laptop. I want my Toshiba.

Please provide the entire model number of your laptop.
Also, were you using your laptop mostly for gaming?
Was this that the first time you had felt it was hot / overheating?
When you press the power button do you hear the fan come on, even if for a few seconds?
Do you hear you hard drive spin at all?

  • Computer does not charge or turn on if battery is below ~10%

My Late 08 Aluminum Unibody Macbook has recently had a pretty distressing problem.
If I unplug it from charge, if it runs completely out of battery (so that the computer forces itself to turn off) it will not turn on again. If I plug in the power cord, there is no bright green light (there is a very dim green light). The computer will not turn on even if it is plugged in and the battery is removed.
The workaround I have discovered is that if I take my battery out of my macbook, and put it into my friend's same-model macbook, I can charge the battery back up to about 12%, and then put it back in my computer and start it up. It will then charge up completely, and I am able to use it as long as I plug it in before it reaches about 10% battery.
I went to the apple store to try and fix this problem, they checked out my old battery, which seemed fine. They then put a new semi-charged battery they had in the back, and it started up fine (because it had some charge) so I paid for a new battery and left. So sad I was to discover my problem still existed. All of my friends with the unibody macbooks I have are away at college so my traditional method of fixing this problem for myself is unavailable.
Any ideas on what's going on?

    First, try resetting the SMC:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964?viewlocale=en_US
Second, try a known-good MagSafe charger. The dim light on the one you have--and that the Mac will not start at all while plugged in without a full battery--makes me suspicious that it's your charger.
It may also be a problem with the MagSafe port or the motherboard. Hope for the charger.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

    Hi Alkaf,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iPad will not turn on. Take a look at the iPhone article linked below, it provides tips that will help resolve power issues for both iPhones and iPads.

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.

Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
