After uninstalling I tunes completely, I can't download Itunes at all

I was having problems downloading the newest version of itunes so I followed the directions and completely removed any trace of the program.  Then I try to download the newest version and nothing- it just says thank you for downloading itunes.  But it didn't download anything.  Help!

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

    Well you first download the latest version of iTunes, after installing it restart the computer once and then try opening it!
    Does this fix your issue?

    Ok well this started happening about a week ago.
    I tried to download Itunes yet, but when I tried to download it, the download box came up yet it froze after awhile.
    I noticed the Kb/s kept on decreasing after the download had froze and after a while the Kb/s reached 0 (this is after the download froze).
    I'm trying to download Itunes on my toshiba laptop, I've looked at other peoples posts suggesting to use another browser like firefox.
    Well I even have problems then, I can't download anything more than 3-4 mb.
    If I try and download Firefox which is 7mb it freezes while downloading it.
    I haven't used up my server time (internet use) yet.
    I've been trying to find a solution for quite some time now and would be very great for an answer.

    Are you choosing SAVE? Don't choose Run.
    If you can't download Firefox either, try temporarily turning off any security software like Norton or McAfee.

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

    Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

    Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
    If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode.

    stevejobsfan is correct; iwork for ios is free only for new purchases of new ios devices. A good work around (if you have wifi connectivity) is going to the icloud website on your ipad, and working on your document.
    A word of caution (the real reason I am responding to your post). If you do a lot of 'formatting' of a document on iwork for mac, and then save it in icloud; you will probably loose most of the formatting you have done (this will be true if you oppen the document in iwork for ios; also) It happened to me, and I did not duplicate the document before saving it to icloud; I lost at least an hours worth of work.

    It's better to post the URL of the feed (as you have subsequently done) than the contents of the feed .
    From the FeedValidator report the feed is basically OK for iTunes. There are several occasions where 'content:encoded' sections (following immediately on 'guid' tags) should be enclosed in
    <description>...</description>
    tags: however all this will be ignored by iTunes anyway and only applies to other readers. The 'potentially dangerous content' referred to by FeedValidator is within the 'content:encoded' tags and so isn't relevant to iTunes. They are referring to an inline css style, and I don't know whether this might cause a problem elsewhere.
    You should really have a language tag, e.g.
    <language>en-us</language>
    (you have a dc:language tag but that's for a different system). This should be placed in the top section, before the first 'item' tag.
    It's advisable to have an 'itunes:explicit' tag for each 'item' -
    <itunes:explicit>yes IF CONTAINS ADULT MATERIAL, OTHERWISE no</itunes:explicit>
    it's not compulsory if you have no adult material, but you must have a 'yes' if you do.
    You can check your feed by subscribing in iTunes from the 'Advanced' menu - this has the same result as clicking the 'Subscribe' button on the Store page. If it works OK there you are ready to submit it.

    Do two things:
    On Mac OS X make sure you ran the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro uninstaller from Application > Utilities > Adobe Installers. On Windows uninstall using the Control Panel.
    Download and run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove any traces of Acrobat http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
    You should now be able to install from the Adobe Application Manager (AAM).
    For Acrobat, the blank EULA screen is a known issue:

    Hi, Thanks for that further bug description In Your Last Message That Describes The Problem I Am Having perfectly and is exactly the same for me.
    unfortunately that fix for my camera Powershot G6 does not work or apply as the view pictures switch is different on G6 is not usable during download as once you plug in DC/USB cable it turns off, and makes no diff and problem still exists exactly as you just described.

    it has been 17 days since apple promised to get back to me within 3-5 days hopefully with a solution, but I have still not heard from them.
    They blew me off, i guess, probably i will have to wait for new Yosemite OS update, which they pre-warned me could take as much as 6 months.
    I cannot believe apple released this new update with such major bug issues for camera downloads and that horrible "Photos" pgm which has all sorts of downgrades in features, usefulness and new bugs compared to iPhotos which I just finally got used to and was much better software.
    I am starting to lose faith in Apple and I am getting that Microsoft "FEEL" like I used to have when I was a PC user, which was why I originally switched to Apple  computers in first place.
    Oh well got my fingers crossed here.
    Thankfully the memory card reader solution  is working well, but cost me $45.

    I was looking into the issue you are describing and found an article that I think may be helpful for us here. It sounds like we need to remove ALL components of iTunes, and any of its associated services like Bonjour.

    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
    Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order. Then, restart your computer.

    Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended effects.

Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled In most cases removing iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel will remove all supporting files belonging to those programs.  In some rare cases those files may be left behind.     Similar problem here.  iTunes11 notified me it was available.  However, auto-update failed.  So, I downloaded for manual update.  That failed with "permission" message.  I am administrator on this machine (WIN7).  I tried uninstalling old version, but it failed with same permission issue.  I now can't start iTunes... throws permission message.  So, I'm completely dead in the water.  Does this stuff get tested before it's shipped?

    These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
    Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
    If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)
