After Update 8.2.0 there is 8.1.3 ?

Hello,
I've just updated my Adobe Acrobat 8.1.7 Professional to 8.2.0 with the "Adobe Updater".
After restarting of my computer I've started Acrobat and it stated the right version - 8.2.0.
But now "Adobe Updater" tells me that versions 8.1.4, 8.1.5, 8.1.6, 8.1.7 and 8.2.0 are already installed but 8.1.3 not!
I don't understand how this happend, because before updating to version 8.2.0 the version 8.1.3 was succesfully installed.
Do I really have to up-/downdate it again?

Adobe Standard 8 installation, Win-XP SP3: I have same problem... Drove myself nuts trying to determine why a previously installed update (8.1.3) was now "missing". After numerous attempts to install the 8.1.3 update and hours of time researching forums and the Adobe Support site, I finally completely uninstalled all products Adobe, thouroughly cleaned the registry with iolo System Mechanic, removed all other Adobe folder trace and then reinstalled from the CD. I then processed each of the updates, starting with 8.1.3, one at a time. At each update I checked the listing and noted the 8.1.3 update was still present and showing as installed. Low and behold, when the 8.2.0 update is applied, suddenly the 8.1.3 update shows as not having been installed. Best guess; there is an issue in the logging mechanism for the updates. The 8.1.3 is probably not actually being removed or anything... It is just being "reported" as needing to be installed. If you try to actually apply it, the install aborts because it recognizes has already been done. I am simply going to ignore this update (8.1.3) until they issue a 8.2.+ version. I am sure they will correct the 8.1.3 misreport at that time because millions of people will be ******** about this. Until then, party on!

Constant hanging began 8/29/11. Worse yesterday AFTER updating Firefox. Is there a known new issue?

I can no longer use Firefox because it hangs upon every use. I do mean every use. Even clicking to open and read an email or scroll on a page causes it to hang (not responding). It started a few days ago. Became unusable today after updating to the newest version, which I was expecting to help, not make things worse. Have had to use IE today - and I hate that!
09/10/11 Update: disabling Symantec IPS 3.1 fixed my issue for a few days. After installing yet another Mozilla update, I'm right back where I was, unable to use it because it hangs constantly. Going back to IE until I have more time to troubleshoot this.
9/11/11 Disabled all add-ons and sync. Still hangs constantly.

I tried disabling all add-ons and nothing worked. I don't see the Symantec IPS 3.1 in my add-on manager.
I uninstalled Java based on the answers on this thread below (I encountered issues with downloading Java 6.0.270.7 update)

Tools/Photoshop/Batch no longer available after updating Bridge. Is there a missing file?

I have just updated all my cc apps, Photoshop, Bridge etc. Being able to batch process files from Bridge is no longer a visible option. Can anyone advise about possible missing files that might enable this?

I recently updated all my adobe cc products to the 2014 version. The previous cc version is still on my pc (Windows 7 professional)
I’ve come across 2 problems since that update:
All the actions I’ve made in the regular cc version are gone in de updated version. I tried to recover the actions by clicking load actions in the actions panel, and then went searching for them in the actions folder (…\Adobe Photoshop CC\Presets\Actions) of the cc version, but photoshop cc 2014 apparently couldn’t find a compatible file. So, is there a way to import those actions to the cc 2014 version or do I have to remake all those actions?
I’ve made a new action in Photoshop cc 2014 and tried to batch several images with that action in Bridge. When the cc 2014 is open (or not) a message appears in that version of photoshop stating that photoshop cc is required for this command and that I should close this version and try again. When I open the photoshop cc version before I click on batch in Bridge nothing happens at all.
Any solutions for this problem?

After updating from "about firefox",there're always two version showing up in my control panel's program list.

I think everytime firefox update itself, it doesn't clean the old version's register key so there're both two version showing up in the control panel's program list.
When you uninstall the old version, the new one disappears too.

Firefox can find plugins in several locations, but Firefox 21 changed the location of the "shared" plugin folder so older installers like the Microsoft Windows Media Plugin no longer drop the DLL file in the correct location.
There apparently are two ways to address this:
(1) Change a Firefox preference so that Firefox checks the old location. Here's how:
(i) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(ii) In the filter box, type or paste '''plugins''' and pause while the list is filtered
(iii) Double-click '''plugins.load_appdir_plugins''' to switch its value from false to true.
This will take effect after you restart Firefox.
(2) Copy the plugins folder to the new location. Here's how on Win 7 64-bit:
Open a Windows Explorer window to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
Right-click and copy the '''Plugins''' folder
Double-click the '''browser''' folder to open it
Right-click and paste
Right-click the new copy of '''Plugins''' and rename it to '''plugins'''
After restarting Firefox, the plugins in that folder should now be available.

After update to IOS 7 there is no prompting on the lockscreen of how many digits I have entered allready

Hi,
after I have updated my IPhone 4 from IOS 6 to IOS 7.0.2 there is no propting of the entered PIN digits.
On the Product videos the propting should be shown above the keypad on the lockscreen but only "Code eingeben" is hown there.
Any Ideas?
I have allready restarted my phone with no effect on it.

After updating to iOS 7 there is no app store icon or iTunes icon on my iPhone 4s.

I recently updated to iOS 7 and a few days leter I realise there is no appstore icon or iTunes icon.
I searched for them in spotlight but they were not there.
I even asked siri to open appstore but it said "you don't seem to have an app named appstore"

Figured it out. I couldn't find mine anywhere! But apperantly I had turned it af in restrictions. When I turned it back on the app was back!

If you loat the passsord to the encrypted backup you cancontinue to use the iPod and to sync but you can' restore frombackup. o be able to restore frm backup again you will have to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and start anew.

Garbage characters in german admin pages after update to 3.0

After Update to 3.0 there are garbage characters display instead of German special characters (äöüß ...)
looking like ... " lÃ¶schen " or "UnterstÃ¼tzende Objekte"
In the applications these characters displayed correctly -even the Buttons ... - only Apex Admin Pages affected.
I have checked Frequently Solved Problems/FAQs with Application Express 3.0
and updated PL/SQL Web Toolkit to 10.1.2.0.6 and checked NLS_charset - is right.Then I've run the load_de Script again. But noting changed.

Thank you. Yes that resolves the conflict but leaves some missing references like the "Composition"
reference above. I was able to get past that by adding System.ComponentModel.Composition. This is after installing the VS 2013 update 4 build.
Now I get the following. I'm concerned that I'm taking references from both Lightswitch and Silverlight
sdk's just to get it to build. These references are required because of the auto generated code. I must have something quirked. Anyway what about System.Data.Common.DbConnection? How can I get it without
referencing System.Data?

Big problem with photos after update to iOS 4.3

I have a big problem with the photos on my iPhone 4 after updating to 4.3
There is not enough space for them, anymore. Before the update I had about 9000 photos synced with iTunes -and I had about 10 GB free. Now, iTunes can't sync the photos anymore because there is not enough space on the iPhone??? The same amount of photos does not fit anymore. I suppose there is an error in the Itunes photo compression module. Anybody else with the problem? Any suggestions for a workaround?

Update: The same number of photos is taking up three times as much space than before.

Me too, but I have the solution.
There seems to be 2 problems. First, for some reason your data is taking up more space post update, so if you were close to filling your device, you now overrun. This isn't well handeld by iTunes, but doesn't seem to be the biggest problem as I'm sure that would sort itself out if you could just get it to sync.
The root problem is the 2nd one - the missing file. Mine was a photo, but it took me ages to find it and you're not going to like how I did it. I started to untick things to sync one by one (music first) and attempting the re-sync. I found that it was a file in my photos that was causing the problem, so I removed those and then re-loaded everything back up and I'm now OK again. I use Aperture to sync with.
I had the same problem with the last OS update and it's a pain because it takes ages to sort with a nearly full 32G device.
Now onto my iPad for an update, but that's proving to be a non-starter as the thing wont back up due to "another session in progress". More rooting around to solve that I guess......

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. 
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page. 
Another possibility is to use:

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
