After update Arch stays at Welcome Arch - arch live iso the same
Hi, I would ask for your help. I did an update of Arch today morning, after this i can,t boot Arch. I added nomodeset to kernel but it just doesen,t work, won,t boot. I tried to run it from usb media, i downgraded kernel to 3.9, i downgraded intel drivers but still no luck. I have Acer Aspire AOD 270 with GMA3600 driver and Intel Atom procesor. Could somebod help me? It stays at Welcome Arch sign.

BTW - i know that it is pointed towards me, but belive, or not - i read a lot, i only ask when i can't find a solution over the net, arch wiki or on other media. This problem is very strange - even iso from usb won't boot, on 2 computers (one desktop, one netbook). As a matter of fact, i've been reading since thursday about this problem.

There are numerous reports of this issue happening on iPhones. It may be a glitch that will need a new update. Some find that a full shut-down and restart fixes that problem, but not always.

Well, just for future reference, any time you do an iOS upgrade, it is a good idea to back up your device just prior to doing the download. You can back it up to iCloud or to iTunes. Personally, I prefer to back it up to iTunes, and then to do the download via iTunes as well. Doing a Wifi download can, by the very nature of the OTA environment, run into more issues than a hard-wired one via iTunes.
If it is just a version release (like 8.0.1, or 8.0.2), then I might download it via Wifi, since the content is not likely to be very large. But for any major new release (7 to 8, etc.) it is always a good idea to do it via the USB cable rather than OTA.
I would also suggest that you set up your device to do automatic iCloud backups. Whenever it is turned on (i.e., not manually powered off - it can be "asleep"), plugged into a power source, and connected to Wifi, it will do an automatic backup every 24 hours. Mine usually backs up at night.
But even with my iCloud backup in reserve, I still did an iTunes backup before I upgraded to iOS 8. I like having the extra security of that second backup to choose from, should I need it. Here is a support article comparing the two types of backup:

Some of my earliest photos are not showing on my phone5 after updating to iOS7. They can be seen in the app "over" which allows for art and lettering to be placed on a photo but I cannot find an album or year for photos before 2012 (in the photo app). The iphone says the photo content is there when I check in "about" under general in settings. So the pictures seem to be somewhere but I just can't access from from the photo app. Any suggestions. I also know that they were there before the iOS7 upgrade as I was looking for a pre 2012 picture last week and it we there.

If your phone was originally sold in KSA or UAE, facetime is permanently removed from it. If you are in one of those countries, and your friends have facetime on their phones, then they were originally sold in a different country.

If your iMessage and FaceTime still hasn't activated by now, I would recommend you use this specific section of the following article as long as you verify you've done all the other troubleshooting from it for this issue:

After updating my iPhone 4s to iOS 6.1.2, the iCloud backups fails. It appears it is trying to backup the entire 3.1 GB not just new data, thereby exceeding the 5.0Gb limit. I have checked the phone contents on my iMac and there is very little new data so the backup should be successful. I have tried rebooting the phone, which did not help. Phone is not jailbroken. Any suggestions? Thanks....

For your iCloud backup, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. If you turned iCloud backup off and try to sync to create a backup on your computer and got a "waiting for sync to start" error, it may be caused by a corrupt backup on your computer. You could try deleting your last backup by opeing iTunes and going to Preferences>Devices, clicking on your last backup and clicking Delete Backup. Then try again.
