After update finished-browser will not load on user site

i upgraded to firefox 4 from 3.6. when the upgrade finished- the browser will not load on one of my user sites. the upgrade froze half way through and the computer restarted on that site. no matter how many times i try to finish the upgrade, it gives me the same results- the browser will not load even though the upgrade window tells me it is finished-every time i try to open the browser window it never comes up

I googled my problem and found myself at some place with a link
This was not an Adobe Forum.
I clicked the link (legitimate) and the update was perfect.
When I first went to adobe to update , it failed. Gave me some error thing.[ I never update from a popup.]
Only from the real website. I tried to get help from chat and they referred me to the forum where I guess you found my question.
I hope this helps someone. All is good now.

  • After downloading latest quicktime update, itunes store will not load

Has anyone had this same problem after downloading latest quicktime update. iTunes store will not load.

This happened to me today as well post installing the latest version of itunes.   I did a search on google for the error and came across a recommendation to :
Note: Start Windows in Safe Mode to complete any of the following steps if you're unable to access Windows normally due to the msvcr80.dll error.
If, and only if, you're receiving the msvcr80.dll is missing error when you open Apple iTunes, do the following: (skip this step if your msvcr80.dll error is occurring with a different program)
Uninstall from Windows the following five programs in this order: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, and finally Apple Application Support. If you have iCloud, remove it as well.
Uninstalling these programs in Windows is done from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Note: Songs and playlists in iTunes will not be removed when you uninstall the iTunes program or any of the other, already-mentioned Apple programs. If you'd still like to back them up, they're usually located in the My Music folder in Windows.
Download the latest version of iTunes from Appleand note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator. If you're not sure how to do that, see How Do I Open an Elevated Command Prompt? for help. That procedure shows you how to open the Command Prompt program as an administrator, but the steps are essentially the same for anything, including the iTunes installation package you just downloaded.
A general overview of removing and reinstalling iTunes can also be found here on Apple's site but the above procedure seems to work better in this particular situation.

  • My Firefox browser will not load since I installed the new Yosemite OS on my iMac. I'm I alone with this experience? Any ideas on a fix? Just asking.

The Firefox application pops up but will not load . All I get is the spinning ball that I need to force close. Rebooting doesn't seem to help.
    Any ideas for a fix?

Hello BobbyRiley, any luck if you '''trash''' the current Firefox application to do a clean install ?
    1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    2. '''Trash''' the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
    3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Mac Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.
    thank you

  • Media browser will not load iphoto

    Hi
My pages media browser will not show my iphoto pics. It shows my files from garageband, but not iphoto. I tried dragging iphoto into the iwork folder and I also downloaded the ilife support 9.0.3 which was recommended in another post, but neither worked. I am able to drag photo folders, but not iphoto files.
    Thanks for your help
    Marcia

    Hi Marcia
    Welcome to the forum.
Have you moved or renamed any of the iLife or iWork suite? The whole workflow relies on being able to find all the files where they are supposed to be.
It is best to leave all of these alone.
You can not drag iPhoto (an application) into the Media Browser.
You can drag in folders of graphics and it will then browse those. Just be aware it is not actually holding any of the images, just providing links to where they are filed.

if you are having system wide issues archive and install would be the best bet. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120 first however, you must do disk repair http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214. hopefully you do not have severe directory damage. if disk utility finds errors it cannot fix, back up your info immediately. you can use a third party app like diskwarrior or techtool pro to attempt fixing the problem, and if it can't be fixed, you will have to erase and install your operating system. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • After installing recommended updates of firefox, the browser will not load at all. I have reinstalled the software and the problem remains. Please advise

Your software is used in conjunction with the FBI NICS background check system.
I am running Windows XP professional on a Dell Optiplex system. McAfee total protection is my firewall and antivirus software.
    Thank you for your support.

Sorry to keep you waiting here.
Could you check to see whether Firefox is set to use any special connection settings?
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab, click the "Settings" button
The default is "Use system proxy settings" which should piggyback on IE's LAN settings, but you also can try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.
