After update my MacBook pro 13 2011 just turn on but don't enter in menu

Any people can help me?

massayukiii,
boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the Mac OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it enter the menu now?

    Hi Buterem,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your MacBook Pro since your recent Yosemite update. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If you are having intermittent but persistent responsiveness issues with your mouse or trackpad, you may want to try using Activity Monitor to see if these incidents correspond to occupied system resources, especially system memory or CPU. Try re-adding your printer in System Preferences/Print & Fax. Not sure what type of printer you have, but if it was old and relying on an Appletalk connection, Snow Leopard dropped that support.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Display issue - My macbook pro 2011 detects my display but does not display an image

Hi, I am having a problem connecting my MacBook Pro (2011) to my HP 2511x display.  I used the display all morning with my mbp connected and closed.  When I came back, after the computer went to sleep, I cannot get any image on the display.  The computer detects the display but no image appears.
    I have tried-
Installing the latest firmware and software updates
restarting both the computer and monitor
trying all of the possible display arrangements and settings for resolution and refresh rates
Also I am connected using a minidisplay to DVI adaptor in the thunderbolt port.
    Any and all suggestions appreciated.
    thanks.

    Hello Aminetti,
It sounds like your computer goes to sleep, and will not wake up, so you must manually restart your computer. I recommend the troubleshooting in the following article:

  • Video issues after update - 15" Macbook Pro (Late 2011)

I recently ran some updates for my mac and ever since then, I've been having video issues where my screen is showing horizontal lines. The lines come and go as I make changes to the screen (like minimizing a window) and they came in go and varying degrees of badness. Icons will also start missing unless I hover over them or make some other video change in that area of the screen.
It could be a coincidence that it occurred after making the updates, but it is worth noting.

  • Macbook Pro 2011 just started running extremely slow

After recent OS upgrades and general teenager use, the MacBook Pro all the sudden is running extremely slow.  I am not a really technical person, what should I do to fix? I will start backing up now.
    Thank you
    Matt

You may be able to improve the speed with some software work but it could also be your disk or SSD is corrupt or failing.
    Try resetting PRAM and SMC:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Is it faster now?  If not, proceed.
    Restart in Safe Mode:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564?viewlocale=en_US
If it boots faster then uninstall all unnecessary login items >User&Groups>Login items. Unlock the padlock. Remove them with the minus -
Also uninstall internet plug-ins in your browsers.
Is it faster now?  If not, proceed.
    Backup your data immediately:
Before proceeding you should make sure you have a current backup.  If it has been getting slower over time your disk could be a failing slowly.  SATA drives have two retry modes: short and long.  They can continue operating as read errors are increasing.  The long retry cycle is very long and can cause significant performance degradation.  If it has started long retries then it is likely to get worse and eventually fail.  SSDs also have a failure mode where the fail slowly.

    - A clean install.
After you have backed up your system twice.
Preferably with one of the backups being a clone.
Time Machine restores are complex and can sometimes fail.
You don’t want to risk all your data on one backup as you wipe out the data on your Mac.
As part of this clean install procedure erase the disk with Security Option Zero
that writes zeros to all sectors and remaps bad sectors as it does so.
That is a time consuming operation, but worth it.

    Hardware replacement or upgrade?
Hopefully by now your Mac is back to its normal speed.  If a hardware repair is indicated take it to an Genius bar at an Apple store for a free diagnosis and estimate of repairs.  If it is under warranty or AppleCare they will repair it for free.  If not, you can compare their estimate with DIY repairs.
    Genius reservation http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ .
or find an Apple Authorized Service Provider https://locate.apple.com/country
You can speed it up further by upgrading some hardware. (Do not upgrade the hardware if it is still covered by the warranty or AppleCare.)  For the following memory, disk or SSD replacements and upgrades check out OWC http://eshop.macsales.com/, Crucial: http://www.crucial.com/ and Kingston http://www.kingston.com/us/.  You will need to know your Mac the year and season your Mac was first sold and model number which can be found here:
     > About This Mac > More Info… > System Report > Model Identifier:
If your Mac has 2 or 4 GB of RAM, consider an upgrade to 8 GB (if the memory is upgradeable).  An 8 GB memory upgrade is only $100.  When I upgraded a MacBook from 2 GB o 8 GB it booted thee times faster.
If your Mac has a disk and it won’t repair properly, is low on disk space, or you just want a considerably faster disk, check out an upgrade to an SSD-Hybrid disk. Google "Seagate 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive SATA 6Gbps 64MB Cache 2.5-Inch" or consider an SSD (120 to 480 GB).
OWC has SSD replacements and upgrades for MacBook Airs and Retina MacBook Pros.
Good luck.  May the software fixes do the trick.

  • When I plug an HDMI cable into my Macbook Pro, it just turns itself off. Help?

So I am trying to hook up my non-retina Macbook Pro to my HDTV to use it as a higher quality monitor, but one of two things always happens. When I try pluggingg in the HDMI, then turning on my Mac, it fails to detect the display. If I plug in the HDMI when the Mac is already on, my laptop will just turn itself off immediately. If anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, or if i need to get something else, it would be greatly apreciated.

I am wondering if you may have some debris in the output port where the plug is not allowed to be fully inserted.  If not, take to an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation.
    Ciao.

  • No sound after update on Macbook Pro

    Hi all,
after running the latest software update on my MacBook Pro (early 2007) the sound stopped working (except for in iTunes). I suspect it has something to do with the iTunes 9 / QT update. Also system preferences freezes when I try to access the sound settings...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Ulf

These two links have references to sound issues:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1909270&tstart=0
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1933397&tstart=0
However, since this is associated with an update it is possible something more extensive is involved. I would:
Boot from installer disk and verify hard drive is okay with Disk Utility > First Aid.
If okay, boot from computer and use Disk Utility on main drive to repair permissions. Check sound.
If still bad, back up critical files, try reinstalling updates one at a time repairing permissions in between.
If still bad, resort to Archive and Install with preserve users & settings.
    Updating
Certain steps appear to minimize the risk of an update producing problems.
Number one is to make sure you have a bootable clone backup of your computer in case you do need to back out of it again. This is the only guaranteed way of not having to worry about the results of an update.
Some like to boot from their installer discs or an external backup and verify (and if necessary repair) their internal drives as well as drive permissions. This is done with Disk Utility. You can verify a drive while booted from the same drive but sometimes this produces spurious errors. Repairing a drive (if necessary) has to be done while booted from another disk. Permissions repair can, and is probably best, done when booted from your internal drive.

You can also go to the step of booting into safe mode to do the install.

[Safe Boot takes longer than normal startup|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107394]
I like to download the update onto my computer and install it from there rather than let Software Update do it. I know a few people who had problems with doing the update via software updater found a manual install to work.
    Repair permissions again afterward.
It helps to only install one update at a time and to run the computer for a while to make sure it is behaving well.
The more cautious even like to unplug third party peripherals (see [comment by BDaqua|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9040746#9040746]).
Almost all of the above steps (except backup) have been questioned as to necessity because probably many people have done successful updates without doing them. I say they can't hurt, they can very likely do good (especially if your computer isn't regularly maintained), so why not do them to be safe.
