After update to 5.1.1 can not restore backup
never put the pass but after update it is asking for it, it says it is encrypted, the support guy on the phone did not know how to help.
I know many ppl had this problem already.
Can somebody help?
I don't have the choice to restore it as new. It just starts restoring after connecting.

Force close the App Store app and reset the iPad. No data will be lost when you reset the device.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

The option is still there - hold down on said text - more - then hit the trash icon.

After upgrading to IOS 5, I can not purchase anything from the app store. I get the message "Can not connect to iTunes store". I am able to get updates from the app store only through my phone. Also, Game center I.D. wasn't accepted. It said the user name was already taken. Had to create a new one.
Please helpYou might try to confirm that your messages are actually sending. I have the same problem, but my messages appear to be sending but are not actually being received.

After updating to os5, my iPad will not restore. What do I do?
When I attempt to restore my iPad it first says: An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-1). When I hit okay on that it then says: iTunes could not restore the iPad because an error occured. I have gone through all of the suggested tips on the website but it is still not working. Any ideas?

Updated iPad 1 to IOS 5. When trying to restore my iPad from my backup it gets half way through and the iPad reboots and iTunes says "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-1)"
The answer is to:
set up my iPod (or iPad - should work the same) as a new iPod. Then in iTunes I synced everything as if it was a new iPod. After the sync was complete I right clicked on my iPod on the left in iTunes and selected restore from backup. I selected the right backup file (the older version, not the one just created) and it worked!! -

I don't know what's wrong but I can't restore my backup after upgrading to iOS5!
I have two iPhone 4 and I've tried restoring the backup to both of them. On the iPhone I have iOS 4.3.5 on it works like a charm but on the one with iOS 5 on i can do the restore but once it's done the phone starts and then freezes, restarts and then freezes and that's how it goes.....
Anyone know how to restore to iOS 5??That is the exact same problem I am having! Everything works fine installing iOS 5 then Restore From Backup works fine but then after the phone restarts bam it freezes at like 20% and there's nothing u can do about it. No matter how many times you restart it just wont finish the restore. Then sometimes while it is frozen I will get a text message and I can see the Slide To Unlock for a split second. There is nothing I can do to get it unfrozen. So it forces me to re-install iOS 5. Which works until I try to restore from any one of my backups. Please, There has to be someone that knows how to get around this **** issue on iOS 5. I want to use iOS 5 so bad and I can't until I can figure out how to get my contacts back on my iPhone 4. I have even tried SSH my address book off my iPhone then installed iOS 5 and when I copy my Address Book back on it wont even let me open the Phone App. It opens for a split second then closes back to home screen. Same with my old txt messages. PLEASE HELP!!

After updating to FF 8 I can not sign into yahoo mail.
Just updated to FF 8, when I attempt to log on to yahoo mail, nothing happens, this is not a problem with gmail or other websites. I also use Lastpass but this again has caused no problems with other websites.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

After updating my iPad recently, I can no longer use it to present PPTs using a TV monitor that always previously worked. The display mentions something about using AirPlay which I am not using or trying to. Suggestions please? I work for an Enterprise with around 30 devices so far, 5 of them have been upgraded to iOS 5.01 and we are having this issue, the steps below are appearing, these are both on iphone and ipad 2's with exchange 2003:-
- Exchange Calendars not sync'ing, but Yahoo account working fine.
- Create an appointment on the ipad / iphone and this sync's with Exchange.
- Close the Calendar and re-open the appointment disappears, but stay's within Exchange.
- Meetings created within the Exchange Calendar do not synch with the iphone / ipad.
This is starting to cause a lot of issues.

They can be seen in the app "over" which allows for art and lettering to be placed on a photo but I cannot find an album or year for photos before 2012 (in the photo app). The iphone says the photo content is there when I check in "about" under general in settings. So the pictures seem to be somewhere but I just can't access from from the photo app. Any suggestions. I also know that they were there before the iOS7 upgrade as I was looking for a pre 2012 picture last week and it we there.

Search Google for "iphone 3g ipsw" (does not matter which one in your case, just need to restore your phone, then can do whatever). Open iTunes with your phone connected. Shift click on "Restore" (Apple click for Mac) and choose the IPSW file you downloaded. That is called a manual restore. Should help you out.

Guess what? After posting, I read another thread on this topic where someone said they went to an Apple store and the tech person there added the optional username and password in the Outgoing Mail Server boxes, and then reset the phone again. Although I had tried resetting and restarting a few times today, I had NOT reset it after entering the username and password into the optional fields.
When I entered my username and password into the optional fields, the iPhone entered checks (ticks) to the right of every entry; it had not done this earlier. (I didn't reset at this time, and the outgoing mail would still not transmit).
So just now, I reset it and the outgoing email was sent!
Thanks to you and this forum, it's a great ending to a few frustrating days.
I hope this message helps others. Not only does everything have to be entered correctly in the respective boxes; but once everything is entered and you press the "Done" button, every box should then have a check mark next to it and then you must reset the phone.
