After update to iOS4, all apps in 3G exit immediately after launch.

I updated my iPhone 3G to iOS4, and after that all apps cannot run. apps exit immediately whey I run it.
Accept the default apps that come with iPhone (e.g. calender, clock, claculator, contact, ect).
What should I do to resolve this problem?

I think I have the solution. I crfeated new ringtones yesterdya by converting them to aac files, then changing the extension to .m4r and dragging them to itunes. I also had a missing icon next to the custom ringtones. The only ringtones that would sync to my iphone are the 2 that I purchased. I tried to play the customer ringtones and windows told me they cannot be played because the original file cannot be located, would you like to locate it? I clicked yes and searched my desktop. I had saved all the ringtones to a file on my desktop so i knew easily where to find them. I clicked the file for the ringtone I had tried to play, clicked on open and it began playing. the missing icon was now gone in itunes. Windows then asked if I wanted it to search the same location for other missing files. I clicked yes and all of my newly made ringtones now will play. I re-synced my phone and they now appear in my ringtones on my iphone. hope this works for you.

Any chance the apps were purchased through another iTunes Store account? That's usually the cause of the symptoms you describe. Get Info on your apps and see if perhaps some were indeed purchased using a different account. If so, just sign into the iTunes Store using that account and you should then be able to update.

Lost all my paid apps after updating to iOS4! Apps not in backup!!!

I just updated my iPod touch (3 gen) from some OS 3.xxx to iOS4. After 1-2 hours, I got an error message saying that the backup failed. I looked on my iPod touch and saw that all of my apps were deleted except 4 random ones. Thinking that my apps were safe in my backup, I checked in iTunes. My free apps were still there but my 2 paid apps were gone! They were Doodle Jump and Ninja Fruit. Although it's only $2 dollars - I lost my money! Will Apple give my 2 paid apps or money back? I had all my updates done so my apps were iOS4 OK.
One little note. My iPod touch was jailbroken which makes me worried. All I got from Cydia was Pokemon and Themes. Did this contribute to the problem? Yet, a lot of people jailbreak and don't have a problem. But, I am certain that I paid for those 2 apps. I even got physical invoices in the mail.

What data? Your contacts, calendars, etc should be synced to your computer, you can just sync it right back.

Your music should be on your computer as well ( in itunes). That is how you got on the ipod in the first place, is it not? Just sync it back to the ipod

It does not normally do that ( at least in my experience), but you should always make sure that everything is copied to your computer and backed up before you install an update or do a restore.

Mac - after updating creative cloud, all apps have disappeared from "apps" and attempts to install hang for long time.

I recently updated the Creative Cloud app, and suddenly I get a message that I have not yet downloaded any apps. They are all right there in my applications folder, but not in my CC desktop app. When I attempt to install any app, it hangs at 40 or 42% forever..... Please help.

I'm not sure what browsers and firewall have to do with this issue. I have been using Creative Cloud as a desktop app since first subscribing to the Adobe Creative Cloud, and downloaded all of the apps that I use on a daily basis way back then. The only change between seeing all of my apps and not seeing any of them was updating the actual Creative Cloud app itself. There were no other changes. Here is a screen shot of what I saw when attempting to update Acrobat. Below that are two screen shots that may be a signal that my Creative Cloud app is corrupt. Please let me know how to proceed.

Update, reset, Backup - all Apps gone

I started the update on my wife's iphone5 connected to the PC with itunes. It stopped after 5 minutes. Iphone wanted the connections to itunes. After lot unsuccessful tries, i decided to set it back its factory settings. Then i restored it from the backup. All apps are gone. Everytime i connect the iphone to the PC, itunes cant recognize the iphone and wants to install as new or restore from saved backup.
I really dont know what to do!

To redownload the apps you need to be using the same Apple ID that you used to purchase the apps.
On the phone you can use the App Store app and find the purchased apps then download them. You will not be charged for downloading the apps again as long as you are using the same Apple ID that you used to purchased them the first time.
On the computer, normally iTunes stores a copy of all the apps you purchased. Start iTunes on your computer, connect your phone, select your phone in iTunes, and select the Apps tab in the row of tabs in the right window.
The apps on your iPhone will be listed under the Apps tab. Select the apps you want on the phone and click Apply or Sync.

Click: Edit Payment Information
Make sure you have the correct Security Code.
Then click: Done

App Store icon shows updates available, but all apps up to date

Just bought Iphone 5c, second day, App store icon shows updates available, but PC, store and other Iphones show none. Tried resetting, updates to ios 8.02, synching, going through each app individually to see if there is an update, no luck.
Wnen I reset, the icon shows a badge with 7 updates available. I opened App Store, bottom right (update icon) showed the same. Tapped it, the update screen appears (as normal), and the 7 on the update icon disappeared, screen says UPDATES All apps are up to date. However, on the home screen, the App store badge still shows 7 updates.
Anyone else having the same prob? What is the fix?

Tried that, tries a soft reset, and a hard reset, no luck. Funny thing is, my other iphones and IPad work fine, its just the Iphone 5.

The lates OIS update, I updated my Iphone 4 a few minutes ago. All apps in the iphone that is pre installed does not work now. Some major bug in the new update?

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Update so that all apps are registered to my current apple ID from an email that is no longer valid. When I try and log into the old Apple ID I am told it has been 'locked for security reasons'

I have a very old apple ID that was used to install some of my first apps that I still use today such as Whats App. I cannot install updates for these apps because my apple ID is no longer operational and when I try and reset this apple ID I get an error message saying this apple ID has been blocked for security reasons. NB. I cannot reset using email verification as the email doesnt exist anymore and when I tried inputing my security questions I couldn't get past my birth questions and then got "you have too many failed attempts at verification...so this apple ID has been blocked".

The old Apple ID apps cannot be transferred to the new ID so you would be best to delete and download new.

For security questions reset, contact the country support number from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask to speak with the Account Security Team.

CS3 update locked up all apps!

Started my computer this morning, got a message for an update to CS3. I had to close Firefox to run the update, which seems to have run thru - got no error messages. But, now none of my programs will run, not Adobe, not Firefox, not Mail, nothing! On restart (one of about 6 or 7 already this morning) I may be able to start Mail, but then no other programs. Or I can start Firefox and Mail, but then Mail is the only operating program, all others are locked up. Including Finder!!! I can't trash anything, can't run Disk Utility (altho once i was able to run that and repair permissions - about the 2nd restart that was).
It is totally locked up now - no FInder, no programs. How can I get back to where I was yesterday - do I have to reinstall the OS and all programs?
I'm on a G5 iMac powermac system, running 10.5.4.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've forgotten the exact chain of events with the Installer disk (it's been quite awhile since I've worked with it), but once you are booted up on the DVD and you've gotten to an installer window onscreen I think you can just choose not to hit "continue" (or whatever the button is to start the install) and instead just move your cursor up to the main menu bar at the top of your screen, pull down one of those menus and find Disk Utility (or at least a choice for "Utility" up there). Just choose the appropriate menu choice and you should be able to begin fixing the hard disk.
Hopefully someone else will stop by who has more accurate instructions for you to follow...sorry I can't be of more help here.

Update worked but all apps load slowly

Updated to iOS5 on my VZ Iphone4. No issues during the update, and everything on the device works perfectly. However, whenever I start or switch to an App, there is a "delay" while it feels/seems as the App is loading. The screen changes to the App, but either the content of the app doesn't fully appear or the content does appear but the app won't respond to me until a few seconds pass. Same experience for Mail, Messages, Settings, Calendar, Contacts, Weather, etc.. With iOS 4 when I touched an icon the app would load near instantly; now when i touch an icon the app starts to load, appears to "freeze" while it is doing something, then becomes available to use.
Is there a remedy?

Power cycle your phone (turn it off, then back on). Seems like you filled up RAM and may need to flush it out.
