Hi , Since updating I can`t set an event or reminder as I have no + on the screen ?

I experienced today exactly the same scenario as steamachine. I updated my Powerbook G4 1Ghz from 10.3.9 to 10.4.0 with an install DVD using "Upgrade". Restarted, deleted cache files, fixed permissions, restarted. The server connect problem was then already there. Next, I executed a "Software Update" to 10.4.9, which unfortunately did not fix this issue.

try tapping holding on the key that would be most similar to the letter you want to enter, that will bring up a menu of other characters similar to that character and maybe the greek letter will be included in that menu

You can use an external drive with LR but I recommend only using it for
image file storage while keeping your catalog on your internal HD for
performance. If you moved files outside of LR (Finder or Explorer) you will
have to clue LR in on where they are now. Use the left-hand folder panel in
Library mode to navigate to the location on your external drive and use the
find photo option get LR to reconnect them. If you moved the catalog and
now LR can't find it you should get a window allowing you to select a new
one where you can navigate to the new location and select it. You can also
just start LR by clicking on the Lightroom 5 catalog.lrcat file to open it
and start LR.

Go here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
and confirm that it's set to the correct country for your account. If it is, try signing out of your account and back in.

i tried updating my iphone 3gs from 4.1 to 6.3.after updating .it started restoring my back up.the phone now asked to activate my iphone and it stoppped discovering network from the sim card hence i cannot restore my phone after the update.any help on how i can overcome this problem?

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

After Updating to iTunes 7, cannot download from Music Store

Since updating to iTunes 7 I have had trouble downloading from the iTunes Store. At first all was well, I went into the store, bought some tracks, started downloading them and then my router died, cut my connection and halted my download. After sorting out the router and re-connecting to the internet iTunes has started reporting that the network has timed out and cannot connect to the music store.
I can still browse the music store but if I try to log in or download anything I get the error that the network timed out. I have tried multiple things to resolve this including restarting the laptop and router, uninstalling iTunes altogether and reinstalling it, running the Diagnostics in iTunes but to no avail.
In the diagnostics window the first two tests pass ok but the third test seems to fail when a secure connection needs to be made, which would explain why I can browse the store but not download anything or log in because this would require secure connections.

Ok all is now well.
Basically I checked with BT and there were no problems on the network, the problem had to be somewhere between my router and iTunes. Next I checked if I could download anything from another computer using my internet connection and the same thing happened so that isolated the problem to router. I then checked the firmware on the router and this was up to date so I then wondered if there might be some dodgy registers within the router that maybe corrupted so I performed a factory reset of my BT Home Hub, but alas that didnt fix anything (unless your connection is running <200Kb/s then it fixes everything, but thats another story, if in doubt reset it!) Anyway, I was putting all my settings back in and realised the Home Hubs Firewall had been activated and as soon as this was disabled, hey presto! iTunes magic returns!
I have since realised that the reason the router may have randomly cut out in the first place was to upgrade the firmware of the Home Hub, hence the sudden blockage of iTunes by the reactivated firewall.
Since correcting this I have had no trouble using iTunes 7, no issues with music or connecting my 4Gb iPod Nano. To all those who are struggling with this I suggest you update your iPods firmware to the latest version to ensure it is compatible with iTunes 7.

Cannot enable Photostream on PC after 6.0 update. New photos not showing up in Photostream folder. T

Restore did not work. For some reason, it added another blank icon to my collection, and several apps restored from backup would no longer launch.
So, I went to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
That took care of the icon problem. Now I'll have to uninstall and reinstall the wonky apps.

Just updated to iso5, but cannot get backup from itunes!

I just updated my iphone4 to iso5, but now system alway reminds that "backup is failed". Restart PC is unuseful.
& I try to recover with icloud, nothing in there. The only route recovers my iphone4 should be connecting with PC & through itunes.
There is sure that every connection done & all software keep fresh.
What can I do now?

Is your itunes up to date? Is your ios on your phone up to date? Try removing all apps by hitting the remove button when syncing, hit apply, then sync, then hit install next to all the apps you want, hit apply, and then sync.

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

i just updated to v20.175, as this is the latest available according to the updater.
- i cannot use the share online option (to flickr) anymore, it says something like "new hard disk" connect error and i'm stuck with the wifi selection screen. cannot get out unless i shutdown the phone and reopen again.
- in my photos, i lost my ability to filter photos by month as they get reset to nothing to start with, how do i get that feature back?

You need to update iPhoto to a version that works with Yosemite. Download it from the Mac App Store.

HT1414 After updating to iOS 6, cannot connect iPad to iTunes

Did a backup to iTunes and upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPad. After the update was complete and ran the setup on the iPad, I tried to restore from iTunes and was unable to connect the iPad and get the following error message:
iTunes couldn't connect to this iPad. An unknown error has orcurred (0xE800000A)

Apps will launch but close immediately after updating to iSO5

Ling 6 and learn to listen apps will not stay open after launched; receupdated iPad2 to the iSO5. Other apps are fine. Rebooting did not work. Uninstalled app and reinstalled still won't work. Help. Need these apps for students I work with.

After updating carrier settings i cannot sync music

i was told to update my carrier settings today and after doing so i now am told to erase all my songs in my iphone because it's sync with another computer. i only have been using this computer. it's rediculous to erase 50G of songs and reinstall them.

I have the same problem: sounds muted for all apps, alerts (except the phone ring). It seems to be an intermittent software (iOS 6) problem (other threads suggest the software fault might be related to managing the docking connection state). Mine also has some weird link to the docking connection.
After multiple reboots, "Reset All Settings" and ear-buds in/out didn't work, I was going to resort to a complete wipe. My work iPhone 4S isn't associated with my home PC / iTunes, so I went to do a manual back-up of photos to my PC - but no photos were visible on the PC (using Windows Explorer). The windows transfer app also alerted me that there were no photos (even thoough there were 200+ on the phone). I took a new photo and tried again and there were all the old photos. Also, sounds were back, plus the hardware volume control buttons were working again.
However - disconnecting and rebooting and the controls/sounds go away again after entering my passcode .
Plugging back into an non-iTunes PC seems to bring them back... Very frustrating.
