After Update to windows 8.1 update 1 going to problem ? help me ?

Hi there dev
I installed windows 8.1 on my hardware and enabled hyper-v and installed 8.1 on hyper-v
after I update both windows to 8.1 update 1 my virtual windows 8.1 going to this problem :
now my right click ( context menu ) works on desktop but can't work in the start screen any more
I don't have :
1-pin to star or unpin from start
2-pin to taskbar or unpin from taskbar
3-uninstall
4-resize
no one of these context menu works in my start screen in my virtual windows 8.1 update 1
but all of them work completely in my host windows 8.1 update 1
help me how to resolve this problem
NOTE : The Generation of virtual windows 8.1 update 1 is Generation 2 while I created it in the Specify Generation page .

Updated my Windows 8 and updated Itunes to newest versions and now my Ipod 7th Generation Nano is not recognized on my computer or Itunes anymore. I have went thru all steps instructed and offered here so what else can I do?

Recently have updated my Windows 8 and updated Itunes to mose recent version available. My Ipod 7th Generation Nano worked, connected and synced without difficulty prior to this updating, Now when I plug into my computer it will pop up Itunes but say that this Ipod is not recognized. I have done multiple steps offered to try and nothing has worked. Any other suggestions would be helpful. I just got this Ipod for Christmas and now can't even use it to sync content anymore.

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

Server 2012 R2 Update vs Windows 8.1 Update

i am not sure about this Topic/request, but i hope you can help me :)
I have a Notebook ... Dell Inc., XPS 15 9530
So i installed Windows Server 2012 R2 Update.
After Installation of OS i installed all Driver's from Dell HomePage (Windows 8.1 Driver's) directly from the CAB Package.
After this i installed all Windows Updates from Microsoft Update.
Now i see, that in Windows Server 2012 R2 in compare to Windows 8.1 Update some Features are missing
1.) USB\VID_8087&PID_07DC\5&791A5BE&0&9 missing
2.) ACPI\VEN_ACPI&DEV_0008
-> Bluetooth i don't got working see 1. and 2.
-> WLAN i got working with enabling Wireless LAN Service
3.) Internet Explorer Extensions are Missing so no Flash works...
So my Question is, which Features and Function's i don't have in Windows Server 2012 R2 Update compare to Windows 8.1
Please Help :)

A single physical machine can run only a single hypervisor - you have listed three. Your best option is to use Hyper-V and forget the others. If you are running a hypervisor on a system, you should not run any other services in the parent partition,
so your idea of running DHCP, NAT, WDS, WSUS, SCVMM/SCSM/SCO on the host in addition to Hyper-V is a bit of a pipe dream. That means you need to move those into VMs. You can most likely build all the VMs you have listed, but unless you have a laptop
with boatloads of memory, you are not likely to be able to get them all running at the same time. From what I can tell, your particular Dell laptop can have a maximum of 16 GB of RAM. That's pretty good, but far short of what you would need unless
you want everything to really limp along.

1. vm = DC, DNS
2. vm = hyperV
3. vm = vmware
4. vm = citrix
5. - 10. vm = w7, w8.1, w10, w2k3, w2k8r2, w2k12r2 (all installed over mdt/scvmm)
11. - 17. vm = msx2010, msx2013, lync2010, lync2013, sccm, scsm, scorch (all installed over mdt/scvmm)
that i dont start 2 - 4 at the same time is correct but by the way i Need a lab where i can test on every Plattform ;)

Store issues after updating to Windows 8.1 Update 1. 0xc03f42e5 / 0xc03f424e

On my new laptop I was installing store/modern apps just fine earlier tonight, now since the update to the new 8.1 update the Store has become very unstable. When I click install on an app in the store, I get the loading animation at the top for a very long
time, then the store closes. It does however add the app to my app list, though in an "Error" state.
If I click on this app, I get the error "This app can't install. Check the Windows Store for more info about Adobe Photoshop Express.", followed by a link to "Go to the Store". If I click the link, it takes me to the Installations screen
where I see this app (and others I've tried to install), all with "This app wasn't installed - view details.".
Clicking on that link gives me "Something happened (how very specific of you Microsoft) and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code: 0xc03f42e5". I've also had error code 0xc03f424e too. Bizarrely, neither of
which bring up ANY results on Google or Bing. Have I found a brand new bug here?
I've tried rebooting, reinstalling my NIC and Wireless NIC, doing a troubleshooting on Windows Update (which did say it fixed stuff), a sfc /scannow. The only thing I've not done that I can think of is to create another admin user and delete the profile
of this user, because that's a hassle I'd rather not have if I can avoid it.
Any MS employees here care to lend me a hand please?
Edit1: The error code that the Windows Update troubleshooter indicated, 0x80070490, pointed me to an article that recommended I run the following commands:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
The first of which is running now, though after 5 minutes it's still at 20% so might take a while.
Edit2: Well the first above command said it found no problems after about 20 minutes. Am running the second restore one though anyway, just in case.

Windows Live Mail doesn't work in Firefox after recent updates to Windows 7. System Restore doesn't help.

Installed around 8 important Windows 7 updates over the past 3 days (so, nothing I could uninstall as they're security updates mainly). Since then, Windows Live Mail doesn't respond in Firefox. Did 2 System Restores and downloaded Live Essentials again but nothing works.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Image Deployment Changes Windows Update from Windows and MS Update to Just Windows Only

Before capturing an image I make sure that Windows update is set to update "Windows and other products from Microsoft Update". After and capturing and deploying the image I notice on the client machine it has been set to Windows only. There
is nothing in the TS that I know of that would switch this....I am not running any updates or anything in the TS. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks in advance

Sysprep changes this setting before the image is captured. This is normal behaviour.

In Windows, go to Control Panel -> System. Do you see a Boot Camp option? If you do not, please download BC drivers as appropriate for you specific Mac year/model System requirements to install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp - Apple Support
and Boot Camp: Install or repair Boot Camp drivers.

I have made an app that has a window that opens up with an image. After clicking out of that window I wanted to quit the app in the menu bar up at the top. While upon clicking the name of the app in the menu, it became unresponsive and quit. Any help on how to change this to stop happening would be great. After L&S and then CalcAll, values goes #Missing - Need help

I am facing an issue with my outline. I have a 'stored type' member (P) with consolidation as (+); and it further has 3 children (C1, C2, C3) - All three as stored type and NO UDA. Out of three children, two members (C1, C2) are getting values from some calculations after running some specific Calc scripts. But for third one (C3), I do L&S and confirm by retreiving it again.
Now when all children have their values stored, I run CalcAll. This results as below:
P = C1 + C2
C1 = C1
C2 = C2
C3 = #Missing
There's no refrence to C3 in any calc script, so I am confused it gets #Missing and it doesn't adds to P.
Any help would be appreciated.

Loading at non lev0 members and aggregating with SET AGGMISSIG OFF may protect the data at non lev0 combinatioons that time.
It will not protect the data permanantly as future calc operations has always a chance to overwrite that data.
Follow the below prctices
1) Load high at the non lev0 combination
2) Run the push down calculation to allocate this data to lev0 combinations.
3) Aggregate the data.
Second approch is
If you dont like to tie this data to the any available lev0 members for any reasons.Consider the below hierarchy
---PG
-------PG1
-------PG2
-------PG3
You want to load data at PG member level and dont like to tie for any of the members PG1, PG2 and PG3.
Then add a place holder member PG_I as a sibling to PG3 and load the data to that PG_I.
Then you can see the expected data at PG with out loading high and applying conditions.

Real Player, Windows Media Player and Quicktime plugin problems - HELP!

All I want to do is view game trailers in different website in either real, wmv or mov etc. I have downloaded the programs (free ones) and installed them but they still persist not to work in the browsers. The program themselves work fine just not in the browsers where I use them the most. I have also checked the internet plugins file on my computer and they are in there. What can I do for them to work??

I updated my notebook to windows 8.1 then my internet is not working any more on the notebook .. ichecked my router and found it working well without any problems and working on other pc's .. and i found a message in hp support assistant that after the update to windows 8.1 imay face some problems such as losing internet connectivity and i dont know how to rework it again .. Any help please .. thanks
