After updated firmware of E71 /Battery life is poo...

After I updated the firmware of my E71 to 200.21.118 version, my phone lack of battery life, I think the problem is mail for exchange version 2.09.158 that have conflicts with the new firmware. After the updated, my phone is always hot and my battery is no longer than 12 hours of use (before at my use 36 hours), I turn the mfe to manual and fix the problem.
Can any body helpme with my problem?.

have you performed the three-finger hard reset after upgrading to the latest firmware version? this is often the source of problms, as giving the phone a clean slate to work with will most likely solve these battery issues. remember to backup all your data first to memory card and to computer using Nokia PC Suite as a .nbu file. after hard reset, restore everything back to your phone using the .nbu file. to perform a hard reset, turn the phone off then press the green call key, the 3 key and the * key all at the same time, then press and hold the power button.

While using Lion I could get up to 5 or 6 hours of battery from full and everything closed, now i can barely get more than two on a late 2011 Macbook Pro. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the software not being entirely compatible for the older hardware. If that is the case, if there is a way to revert back to lion without having to buy the OS.

Try closing apps that are running in the background by pressing the home button twice, then tap and hold an app until it begins to jiggle. Then click the "-" in the upper left corner. Do this for all apps. Then press the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the phone powers off and you see the apple symbol. This should help.

E71 Battery Life gone

My E71 battery life has gone off a cliff. One day it was lasting 2-3 days with constant use. Next it's lasting less than one day. It's 6 month old. Anyone got any idea why ?
I haven't changed my use, nothing is running in the background except bluetooth for my headset. I have not updated the software. Even tried running battery flat a couple of times and recharding.
Any help or ideas apperciated as it's very frustrating. Main reason I bough E71 was battery life after the appaling battery life for E66.

How many cycles do you think the battery has performed?
Around 200-300 Cycles is probably good.
They don't last forever, contrary to what some people believe.
If you have switched off stuff like WLAN Bluetooth and 3G and the battery is not lasting very long then I would consider getting a new battery.
They are pretty reasonable, around GBP £20, €30 approx depending where you are.
Rapid decline in battery charge hold is indicative of a failing battery.
Additionally if the handset is getting hot, then you should get it looked at, at a Nokia care point without delay.

Kernel panics after updating firmware

Kernel panics began at startup after updating firmware about 2 weeks ago. Went through the KP repair routines prescribed by thexlab.com. Found no problems with the hard drive, permissions, etc. Did erase and install (with Leopard OS dvd bought from best buy) after archiving files to external HD and was able to startup normally. Updated OS to 10.5.7, along with several other items (iTunes was one of them). Put previously copied files (mostly iTunes). The computer ran successfully for a few days and then started getting KP's at startup again. Did another erase and install. Had success. Loaded iLife and Office 08 to have something to try to test the machine with. Shut down the computer and restarted successfully. I had forgotten I had not tested the RAM so downloaded Memtest. Tried to run it but the computer froze half way through the test. Did a hard shutdown, then tried to restart normally and got the KP again at startup. Here is the panic log:

Was able to start up in safe mode and ran memtest again, this time having success and finding no RAM problems from the single run of Memtest. Shut down and restarted successfully.
Turned the computer off for the night and just restarted it successfully about 24 hours later, and it is still running.
I presently have about 130GB of free space on my HD. I don't have any peripherals attached. The computer gets fairly warm at times but certainly not excessively.
Can anyone decipher my KP log and see if there is a fixable problem?

Compass application can't running well after update firmware to 20120726

my windpad7 can't run compass application well after update firmware to Android_2.3.1_MSI_02_20120726 but it can pointing well if i turn it upside down (face down). i use the same application that running well on earlier firmware and I've try using another typical application and the result is the same,.. anyone experienced it?

on my n73 i can go to app manager and reinstall them.
if u wanna remove it, then reinstall them and uninstall.

Sony A7 failed to turn on after updating firmware 2.00

As i mentioned, my Sony A7 failed to turn on after updating firmware 2.00. It just appear a blank screen after click the finished button on the updating app on Mac. I waited for more than an hour and there is still no thing happened.

I bought the Sony A7II a few days ago. It initially charged just fine, but today I tried to charge it using the cable with an electrical outlet as well as the USB to computer. Neither one would get the charge light to illuminate. Not feeling the love Sony. I just purchased a Flash, wrist belt, filters, etc... I'm definitely not happy. It seems this is a problem!

Some buttons without tones after updating firmware...

Hi.
After updated firmware to version 20.0.080 (5530 Xpress Music), some tones and vibrates at dialing pad (just numbers) and at Contacts (main screen) don't work any more.
All other functions work normaly just as described, but some tones and vibrating functions doest'n seem to react. I have set touch screen tones on level 2, also the vibrate on level 2. Tryed to reinstal the latest firmware again, done succesfuly, but no changes.
Should I try to restore the phone by *#7370# ???
Is anybody facing the same issue ???

I have the same problem with my phone. After the update, installing v.20.0.080 the dial tone from the keypad just dissapeared. These morons at Nokia instead of adding letters to the keypad dialer with the new firmware, they went further and removed the dial tone. Such a progressive step..

Apple TV doesn´t work at all after updating firmware!

After updating firmware Apple TV 3 the only thing that works is the little lamp on the front...it´s steadily blinks. It doesn´t response to remote control, and don´t show up threaded via USB in Itunes for resetting.

The update didn't apply correctly. You need to restore via iTunes.

Make sure you follow the steps correctly (unplug all cables, connect micro usb, then reconnect power)
Connect directly to a computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub. Try a different cable

Even if you do a firmware upgrade the password wont get changed until and unless if you do a device factory reset.

I was surprised to see that after I made the firmware update 061.005, battery life has decreased significantly. Otherwise, I saw the improvement in audition quality.

N80 v5 firmware and dire battery life

Updated to the v5 firmware for the N80 (5.0719.0.2) and apart from the annoying loud warning tones, the biggest problem I have with this is the extremely short battery life now.
Charged last night, left on standby for maybe 10 hours, and the thing is flat in the morning!
I doubt the battery has suddenly died. Before updating to v5, the phone would last several days on standby.
I can't see that it is connecting to any access points during the night. Bluetooth is off. WLAN scanning is off.
I know the N80 is old now, but anyone found a solution to this or have some tips?
Only other thing I can think of doing is a total reset of phone and media memory, and reinstall everything from scratch.

I have had V5 on my N80 a year or more now and there is definitely no reduction in battery life.
Make sure that things you don't normally use like 3G, bluetooth and wlan scanning is switched off. If this doesn't work then try resetting and failing that, reinstall V5.

What is it about the latest update that causes my battery life to be so short?

Since the latest update my battery life has gone from great to horrendous. I used to be able to get through an 8-hour day at work with no issues now I'll get low battery issues after just a few hours. I presume if I do a factory reset I'll loose all my apps and the phone will insist I redo the update. What am I supposed to do?

You should back up any music or videos, documents or files to a PC and then factory reset the phone. You can either let the reset re-install the apps and app data, or do a clean install to avoid other issues and uncheck those boxes in Back up and Reset menu in Main Settings of the phone. You can always batch install from the Play Store once you reset or you can go to the Play Store webpage, sign in and restore apps from there as well. Make sure you are fully charged to 100%.

I would have to agree. I think that the update is affecting some users. I am guessing you are using a touch. I boutght mine a year ago, it had i4 on it, after the update to i5 i noticed a vast improvment on the battery life. After the update to i5 (which igmackenzie) has nothing to do with how you updated it, wi-fi or hard wired, as long as it takes you are good. It does seem that for some reason, i5 has a finiky issue when it comes to correctly updated apps (i5 ready) and the app store crashing. (have updated about 75% of mine and the issue seems to have resovlved its-self.)
As a long time user of this site for issues i am having and a long time mac user, will you please keep your opinions out of it. this is a help site, for people to remedy issues. NOT a blog for user forum. Appleinsider has a great place for you to discuss your OPINIONS, as for your HELPFUL advice, that is greatly appreciated. But it does appear that the user basically figured it out on their own.

C7 restarting after update firmware 013.016

Yesterday I seen that new firmware is out and I start updating from my operator network,everything was OK finish update and then start the problems with my C7.My phone restarted a couple of times from yesterday,last time I was in middle of call when C7 shutdown and start again alone.what happen I suppose that new firmware is for solving bugs not to make them My phone work "OK" until I update firmware,there was some bugs with widgets but nothing serious like this.Its very unprofessional when your phone is resetting in middle of some important conversation.Any solution Nokia?Has someone else have same problem?

I don't have nokia care center in my town ,I must send phone over the mail express,because of that, I first called them but only what they can told me is to send phone and they will update software.
So they think, that's the software problem,I didn't send phone yet, I wanted to try to reinstall software over PC suite, but that was problem too. PC suite doesn't recognize operators version of software.from nokia ovi suite the latest software is 012.004 ( my previous ) and don't let me to reinstall because I have newer on the phone.

I think that the problem is stupid firmware , phone work well until the update of firmware.conlusion by me is that I hope for new firmware soon to resolve these problems.i also make complain to my operator, will see what to do next .
