After updated my iPad with the latest iOS my iPad will not show me the home screen
my iPad will not boot up like my iPhone 4 when i installed iOS 8.

Since latest update...Firefox will not allow a new page to be opened from a link in a current page. It will allow a new tab to be opened (with tabbed browsing checked) but i prefer a new page. Even in tabbed browsing links to things like a pdf will not work at all.

Imac froze and on re load folder with question mark appeared. Now will not start up to home screen.
The other night my Imac froze during updates. I found it in the morning with the screen and mouse frozen and only the loading icon spinning. I re stared the computer from the power button.
Upon re loading the apple logo did not appear and was replaced by a folder with a question mark in the middle. I looked this up online and found the best option was to use disk utility to check and repair the hard drive. This showed an error with HFS. Used disk utility to fix the hard drive so thast no error appear. I re stared the computer but all it loaded was the folder with the question mark again, so I decided to erase the hard drive of any information (I back up quite regulary, but left it as last resort due to inconvenience), when installing again it seems to go so far before telling me it cannot install and I need to re start. I have erased the dsk again and completed disk clean too before trying again and getting the same results.
I am currenlty stuck at this point and need help, which would be appreciated.
My Imac is an early 2008 Aluminimum model and installtion disk is 10.3The folder with ? mark mean one of 2 things.
1) The OS is so corrupted that the hardware can't find it as a valid way to boot the system.
2) Your hard drive has failed.
You can try booting from the Recovery HD partition, Commadn + r keys at startup if you are running Lion Mt Lion or Mavericks.
Or boot the system from the original System reinstall DVD that came with your Mac or an upgrade OS X install DVd you may have purchased.
With either use Disk Utility to see if the hard drive is seen and if it can be erased or repartitioned and then restore from a Time Macine baclup or reinstall OS X. -
After the new update of the latest iOS, I noticed a yellowish color on the sides of my iPhone 5 screen (Top,Down,Left,Right). Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank You.
It is highly unlikely that any iOS update could cause this.
Try a restore as new, if the problem persists, take the device to Apple for evaluation. -

If you are having an issue with updating your iPhone, try it through a different method like in iTunes or through software update on your iPhone in settings. If that does not work then follow the steps in the article below to force a restore on your iPhone. Have you tried the following troubleshooting document?

If you end up using the If the iTunes Store opens successfully section of the document, and the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox is already checked, try unchecking and rechecking it and clicking OK. -
JPG files copied to Philips Picopix 3410 are currupted with a prefix of ._ and will not display on the PicoPix. Help please?
There are a couple of ways to remove these items from the drive.
One is with the $15 shareware app, BlueHarvest. It will remove the AppleDouble files from the drives you want the ._ files removed from, and has an option to prevent them from being written to non Apple formatted drives in the first place.
But the free and pretty easy way to do it is to use Terminal. From what I can see in the manual for your projector, you can only get images to it on either an SD card or a USB flash drive. So I'm going to assume a USB drive for the following.
Plug in your MS-DOS formatted drive so it appears on the Mac desktop. Open Terminal and enter:
dot_clean -m
Enter a space after the -m . Then drag and drop the icon of your flash drive into the Terminal window. It will fill in the path of the drive. Press Enter. All ._ files will be removed from that volume.
Actually, I think it removes all files that start with a period. None of which are of any great importance on a DOS formatted drive. Such as the hidden trash for that drive. The next time you plug the drive in, OS X will simply recreate it. -

sometimes when a person writes 2-3 messages in a row (for instance) in whatsapp (im in standby mode), it sometimes only displayes ONE message in lock screen mode (though he/she wrote more than 1), and sometimes shows the right corresponding written messages!
Why is this?
its really annoyoing when you get messages in lock screen mode BUT it doesnt stay and remain so you notice it. That way you get missed messages etc and notices it first...when doing the "pull-down list".

I had trouble with a iTunes download. Two songs of an album were not complete. I contacted iTunes and they redownloaded the tunes. My iTunes now has the complete copies. The trouble is my iPhone will not accept/sync the complete copies. It will only play the original incomplete copies of these songs. I've made new playlists and made sure I had the correct items checked to backup/sync. Still only the incomplete copies are played via the iPhone. What's up? What can I do to get to the iPhone to sync the correct version?

- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

Upon upgrading to Yosemite, the Pages and Numbers apps will not open (although they are the latest versions) and Keynote will not upgrade; how do I go about getting the apps to open? Is this a common issue?

Welcome to the Support Communities! When did you purchase your Mac? The first thing I would suggest is to review the information in the resource below for the Up-To-Date Program for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
Once Yosemite is installed, you should have the option to Accept the Pages, Numbers and Keynote apps in the Mac App Store Purchases pane.

Based on my understanding, you publish a report on the report server. When you access reports with internal application, the report doesn’t display, right?
In your scenario, since you mentioned you have published the report to report server, please go to report manager, check if you can see the published report and open the report properly. If the published report is displayed on report manager, it should not
be the issue in Reporting Services. In this scenario, since the MAMA application has established connection with on report server, it may not update items on report server after you publish your report onto report server. So please try to “refresh” in MAMA
or reconnect the report server. If issue persists, I suggest you contact the MAMA application vendor to get some more effective advices.

I currently have a mini server (OSX10.8.5, server 2.2.2) that I am using Time Machine to back up 4 external drives that are connected to the server via firewire 800. I would like to use Time Machine to back up to a windows network SMB drive. I can see the drive on my desktop but it will not show in the time machine window to be able to select it for use.

Thanks for any and all helpThe supported targets for Time Machine backups are local (direct-connected) disks, and network targets include Time Capsule, a disk hanging off the current-generation AirPort (though not earlier AirPort devices), and OS X Server systems.
The Time Machine storage is based on the HFS+ file system, so I would not expect TM to work with SMB file services.
While there are hacks to allow Time Machine to access network drives, I would not consider those to be reliable. Skim the forum and the 'net for related details, and for previous discussions of setting this up and the related issues that can arise.
Remember to test the recovery with whatever you decide to use; whole point of backups is the ability to restore the data, after all.

Video will not show in the preview window
I am using iMovie 08 and have some video that I pulled into iMovie using my iSight. Whenever I am trying to preview my movie it will not show in the preview window. I did a software update for iMovie and the issue is still happening. Any ideas??
Although the same not preview-able iMovie event played perfectly fine when transferred to a different mac running perian and divx, disabling Perian solved the issue on my macbook, too!

New field will not show in the Datasource

I enhanced a datasource by adding a new field in the append structure and when I saved and activated and when into RSA5 or RSA6 then double clicked on the datasource my ZZ field does not show at the end. Anyone know why this is?

Once you have appended the structure .
In RSA6 you need to go to the purticular datasource (In change Mode) and need to uncheck the option *HIDE field for the field you have appended .
After you Uncheck that field save and exit.
