After updated to latest Firefox, uninstalling sync and resyncing through my account, computer will not bring up tabs from synced computer.

I have followed all the steps to update to the latest version of Firefox, uninstall the old sync (which never worked anyway) and create a Firefox account to install the new sync. The Firefox sync tab shows computers as synced, but even after restarting the computer, it does not bring up browser tabs from the other computer. Both have all boxes checked on sync.
One computer has XP, my laptop has Win7.

*The location bar is the address bar on the Navigation Toolbar there you type the address of web pages.
*The "3-bar" Firefox menu button ([[Image:New Fx Menu]]) is positioned at the right end of the Navigation Toolbar.

Two devices synced, but firefox will not show most tabs from other devices.

I have had my laptop and my PC synced forever. Up until a week ago when I clicked "tabs from other devices" it would show me all of my tabs from the other computer, and if I closed one or opened a new one it would show up in the list almost instantly. Now all of a sudden when I click show tabs from other devices it will only show one or two of the tabs I have open on the other computer and ignore all the rest. No matter what I do I can only get it to show like google and facebook. Everything is still synced properly, bookmarks and all that jazz work fine. It's just the show tabs from other devices that isn't working, and that's the only feature I care about. If your suggestion is to make a new sync profile, don't bother responding, as that is not the problem or the solution.

This is strange you were not asked to try the new sync. As the old sync has the tab sync feature, but the new one has a new place for them. In order to move to the new sync you have to remove all the devices from the old sync and then it will allow you to set up the new one.
In Firefox for Android
In the new one in a new tab, tap on History, then on the bottom there are two icons: a clock and one with 4 grey squares. Tap that one and look at the recently synced tabs.
In Firefox for Desktop
if you have not set up the new sync the Tabs will sync every interval of time set by default in the about:config page. (search for sync interval I think). In the new one the about:accounts page will have a manage button that will take you to the preferences of sync. There you can check the Tabs tick.
I hope this clears up the differences between the old and new. The original question though was why some tabs were syncing and others not. I do not know, we can look at about:sync-logs if you have any errors in those log files. This may help lead to some more info.

The last OS update for SL was OS 10.6.8. If that's the case you posted in the wrong forums. You should be posting in the SL forums.
If you are using Mail for your Gmail account, did you check the sound settings in Mail Preferences? Please detail what you have done so far in the way of troubleshooting? Need this info to avoid the "been there done that" scenarios.

Help! After upgrading to Firefox 8, will not save my tabs from previous session, or any Tools - Options! I have read everything I can find about it in Help.

It opens the same 3 stupid windows every time: the Firefox Google page, the upgraded Welcome page, and Amazon wish list upgrade page. This while my home page is set to msn.com or blank! Under Options->General->Startup->When Firefox starts->Change this from "Show my home page" to "show my windows and tabs from last time". It works for me, hope this will help you as well.

You get that problem if you select the Firefox program to handle a file if you get an "open with" dialog.

TS1550 I had this same problem backing up to a new Drobo with 4 drives after updating the firmware on the Drobo and going through these steps still having the problem of Time Machine stopping after about 25 GB. OS 10.6.7 Does anyone have any ideas to help

I have a new Ipod that I received for Christmas and a Toshiba computer that is only 2 years old. Ipod says it is syncing, and I have new version of itunes but no music transfers from my computer to ipod?

Yes. I just solved the problem on my PC. Here goes...
Issue: My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
Solution:
1. You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite". This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
3. Uninstall Mobile Me.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Reinstall Mobile Me.
6. Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application. I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
This is where the file was located:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll

You have WiFi Sync now! Go into Settings, General, and Click Wi-Fi Sync. Sync from there!
