After updates, DNS fails

This is the message I get when attempting to start:
The DNS server could not listen on Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) socket for address 0.0.0.0. The event data is the error code. An IP address of 0.0.0.0 can indicate a valid "any address" configuration in which all configured IP addresses on the computer are available for use.
Restart the DNS server or reboot the computer.
and then:
The DNS server could not open socket for address 0.0.0.0.
Verify that this is a valid IP address for the server computer. If it is NOT valid use the Interfaces dialog under Server Properties in the DNS Manager to remove it from the list of IP interfaces. Then stop and restart the DNS server. (If this was the only IP interface on this machine and the DNS server may not have started as a result of this error. In that case remove the DNS\Parmeters\ ListenAddress value in the services section of the registry and restart.)
If this is a valid IP address for this machine, make sure that no other application (e.g. another DNS server) is running that would attempt to use the DNS port.
I can't get to the properties of the DNS server to even see what address it's trying to bind to. Everything worked fine before a group of updates were installed. The machine is a SBS and has NAT to deal with the outside interface.
I have checked the DNS and there is no key for listenaddress in the DNS service. Also, in services, it says DNS is started, but I can't get into it. The DNS service MMC just has a red X through it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bluetooth problem after update to lollipop

Hi,I've recently updated my 6503 to Lollipop.Everything went smoothly and is working fine, except 2 issues - one solved, second NOT. FIRST (solved) - phone after update waked up and logged to 2G network, with no data transmission (despite it was turned ON). What was strange - my operator's network appeared in 'available network list' as separate 3 NETWORKS ( 2g, 3g and LTE) Switching manually to LTE solved it - now phone is switching between technologies automatically, data transmission is working fine. SECOND AND NOT SOLVED: I'm using the hands-free system built in my car ( mitsubishi lancer, 2008 ) . After update, phone failed to establish connection with it, even hands-free system remained as 'associated device'. OK ... I erased hands-free system from phone, as well as phone from car's memory. Paired devices again - starting procedure from car's side. Nothing better. Erased and paired starting from phone side. Nothing better.What I've observed more: phone after try to establish connection , phone in eye blink looses it. On list of available services of hands-free system (in phone menu ofc) , only 'phone sound' appears, while -as I remember but i'm not sure- before update more (2 or 3) services were detected . PLEASE HEEELP !

Re: Bluetooth problem after update to lollipop As above post, I am also experiencing problems with bluetooth on my Z2:- Phone connection is OK if Bluetooth is turned on the phone for " car is ready". Then I can make and receive calls.
- Playing music on bluetooth does not work after Lollipop 5.0.2 update on my car head unit. Previously connected and able to stream music on 4.4.4 Kit Kat with no issues, looking on web this is not a new issue with Bluetooth connection issues to devices since Lollipop came out so what the **bleep** is going on? I was updating Firefox to the newest version 7.0.1 from version 6.0.2 I think it was, I clicked the restart Firefox button that always comes up after updating. It started updating and then Firefox never restarted like it was supposed to after it was done updating. I then tried to open Firefox and it told me "This application has failed to start because xul.dll was not found." I did have Firefox crash on maybe about 30 minutes or so earlier which bothered me because I have been using Firefox for years and never had it crash on me before but I didn't think much of it at the time it happened because I was able to go back onto Firefox and finish what I had been working on. A while later I checked for updates and updated. The first time I tried to update it didn't work though so I had to shutdown Firefox and reopen Firefox and start the update a second time. It was after the second time that when I tried to open Firefox I got that message about failing to start because xul.dll can't be found. I filed a crash report when my Firefox crashed. This would have been around 1am-2am in the morning that Firefox first crashed and then wouldn't allow me to open it after updating. I have a DELL laptop running the Windows XP operating system but the laptop is probably at least 6 or 7 years old. The laptop will no longer charge so I always have to have it plugged into an outlet. Both my laptop hard drive and my external hard drive give me messages that I am running out of disk space on my hard drive. I bought this laptop 6 or 7 years ago second hand so it could be even older. In short it's a piece of crap and it gives me all kinds of issues but I currently can't afford a new one, but I have never had any problems with Firefox and I use Firefox more than any other aspect of my laptop so it's really really bothering me. May you please help me fix it?

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

(1) Checked Setting, set to automatic update whenever, even changed to never update, rebooted the OS and changed back to automatic update and rebooted the OS.
(2) Stopped Windows Update Services, renamed SoftwareDistribution folder and started the window update services and rebooted.
(3) Ran MS FIXIT
(4) Ran System File checker Scan (sfc /scannow)
(5) Ran CHKDSK /F
(6) Installed "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" drivers from Lenovo site
(7) Ran Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB971033)
None of the above possible recommended solutions were able to fix the issue yet and now I am getting a message your Window is Not Genuine!

The Lenovo System Update installed the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver 8.9.2.1002" right before the Windows Upgrade got broken. So in the Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, I choose Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller, on the Driver Tab, I choose the option "Roll Back Driver" and after rolling back the driver and restarting the OS, now Windows Update is working like a Champ!

ITunes MATCH fails to load on iPhone4 after updating to IOS 6

iTunes MATCH is failing to fully load (display) on 1 of my 2 iPhone4 telephones after updating both to IOS 6. (My wife and I share the iTunes MATCH library using the same ID).
I have tried Signing Out and back In to iTunes, plus I have tried turning iTunes MATCH On & Off for this one iPhone 4 device, but the iTunes MATCH still fails to load.
The furtherest it ever gets is to display my previous Playlists and my Artists, Albums, etc that are in the cloud ...but the actual songs that are in the MATCH cloud never ever appear at all ...even after waiting hours!
The IOS 6 update seemed to work fine for both of our iPhone version 4 phones, but like I said above, only 1 of the phones is able to play music from iTunes MATCH now. This previous worked fine under IOS 5.1 for almost a year.
We also own an Apple TV 2nd generation and an iMAC with OS X 10.6.x, ...and those 2 device are also able play music that we have stored in the iTunes MATCH cloud with No Problem.
The issue seems to be with only this one phone.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a suggested fix for this?

This helped me my repair my iPhone4's locally corrupted iTunes library (which calls my iTunes Match account) for all my music and music-video collection! It took all of 5 minutes to repair.
1. Google/download/install iExplorer (free program).
2. Plug in iPad or iPhone first, then open iExplorer.
3. Delete the iPad\Media\iTunes_Control folder's 3 Media SQL files.
4. Turn on iCloud/match in iPhone's (iPad's) iOS settings, which replaced the iPads music library with iCloud

Finally a note to Apple:
You will have to incorporate a way for users to view and self-repair the inner workings of their appliances if you wish to continue to sucessfully compete in this market ...remember what happened to Nokia for not forseeing the touch screen display many years ago! I would never expect my Mother, my young wife or even my teenage son to download something like "iExplorer" and use it to delete 3 corrupted database files; therefore, dear Apple, please incorporate the self-diagnosis and repair functionality offered by an iPhone Explorer type system into your iTunes software ...or something similar to that! Get with the program!

Restart your computer
While your computer is restarting, clear all of the applications from the background on your iPhone. You can do this by pushing the home button twice and swiping the programs off the screen by pushing them upwards.
After you are done doing that, restart your phone.
Wait about 10 seconds or so and turn your phone back on. By the time you get your phone back on your computer should be completly restarted and ready to go.
When your phone is back on, plug it into your computer. This should automatically bring up your Itunes, you may get another pop up that says autoplay, you can close that out. That's it. I hope it helps and good luck

I work for an Enterprise with around 30 devices so far, 5 of them have been upgraded to iOS 5.01 and we are having this issue, the steps below are appearing, these are both on iphone and ipad 2's with exchange 2003:-
- Exchange Calendars not sync'ing, but Yahoo account working fine.
- Create an appointment on the ipad / iphone and this sync's with Exchange.
- Close the Calendar and re-open the appointment disappears, but stay's within Exchange.
- Meetings created within the Exchange Calendar do not synch with the iphone / ipad.
This is starting to cause a lot of issues.

If you are having an issue with Touch ID not functioning as expected, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ...

IBooks 3 fails to launch even after update

On my ipad 2, iBooks version 3 still fails to launch after update. This is the first time I can recall Apple failing to fix a material bug. I hope it is working on the problem.

iBooks is working fine on my iPad 2.
Lets try first quitting the iBooks app then resetting the iPad.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Then reboot your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I also had the problem of a disconnecting wifi while my imac was sleeping. I did not have the reconnecting issue after sleep, but the lost connection issue during sleep which made it impossible to reach my imac for things like homesharing, apple tv or remote desktop. I have a late 2012 iMac with a clean ML 10.8.2 on it and wirelessly connected to an apple time capsule (same as an airport extreme). My partner has a mid 2007 iMac, also with an ML 10.8.2 on it.
I tried every single solution I could find on the internet, such as changing the router's security from wpa2 to wpa, changing the MTU from automatic to manual 1453, router reboots, re-installations, re-configurations, keychain clean-ups, everything.
Eventually I solved my problem with these steps and now it works as a charm. I can still find the iMac with the remote app, even after 12 hours of sleep:
My time capsule router is set on automatic MTU and encrypted with WPA2 and I use the 5Ghz network!
1. Cleaned all the wifi passwords in keychain on my iMac
2. Created a new network location in system preferences
3. In this location I deleted the bluetooth pan and bluetooth dun connection.
4. In this location I changed the preferred connection-order to wifi on #1 and ethernet on #2.
5. Restarted my iMac.
Now I still have a connection when it sleeps and I can wake it to low profile using the remote app (homesharing) and everything works fine.
Hope more people wille be helped by this.
