After updates, iTunes store stops working

Everytime iTunes has an update, my iTunes store stops working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 14 times. This happened to me the last two time there was an iTunes update as well as this time with the 10.5 update. I have noticed that when I unistall, Quicktime isn't there. Could this have something to do with it?

Myself as well, have been having this same problem, around 20 minutes into any movie I open up in my itunes library, the sound stops playing. I have yet to find any fix for the problem, although I have a thought that it is probably something to do with the buffering. My songs play just fine, all day long, but any movie only plays for 20 minutes and then the sound goes out. Additionally, I had another issue that kept popping up an error message everytime I tried to open Itunes, this was finally fixed via copy paste a corruptted (spelling) .dll file. The only "workaround" for this issue, that I have found, is to open the movie in QuickTime, even though I am not really excited about the QuickTime player. If anyone finds a better solution, please drop a line. thank you in advance.

Yesterday I updated my Itunes account and it stopped working. None of the solutions mentioned in this forum work for me. I've not ever had a problem with your software before. I installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times. No itunes directories exist. I've uninstalled everything labled Apple on my pc withe the same results. The problem is with your software not Windows.

hey, i hav had my ipod scince the end of july and hav never had any problems with that or itunes until recently. After updating itunes a message came up when i tried to use it after the instalation saying files are missing and to reinstall itunes, which i have done repeatedly which have not worked, i hav tried many various strategies to rectify the problem with no prevail, could someone please help me with this as i dont know a lot about computers as i am only 15.

Delete the file "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info\Sc Info.sidb"
If you don't know how to get there, then go to Start, then Search, and search for "Sc Info.sidb", then delete it from there.
After deleting that file, restart you computer and then try running iTunes again.

When I try to log into iTunes Store, The loading bar only goes half way, and I get a blank page with only the side bar that indicate the account's shortcut...
The accont is working well my lybrairies also.
Itried to reset the " intsh winsock reset and restart the PC" like i saw in pother's discussion on the same prblem, but not working , i updated itunes to 10.6 , nothing i tried helps ...

I think there are problems with the store, I mentioned earlier today on other posts that pages in the store are blank when browsing. If you search for something you can find it, but there's no artwork or reviews.

All was going along swimmingly, setting up my new iMac... I did some updates and then for some strange reason my wireless keyboard stopped working? I know it’s not the keyboard because delete works, my widgets work and some other keys work - and - the whole keyboard was working from start up (at first)...
But I just can’t use the Alfa keys all of a sudden - very unusual, no?
What happened?

I called up support and I had to delete two files from the Systems Library called “com.apple...systempreferences.plist” and “com.apple.universalaccess.plist”.....
I hope you never need this information but - it worked for me....

ITunes Store Stopped Working

My iTunes store will not load. It just says accessing store and freezes up! It was working fine until I upgraded to iTunes 9. I even did iTunes 9.0.1 which was supposed to fix it however it did not! I've read and tried everything related to iTunes Store in the support section and NOTHING has worked! If iTunes doesn't want my money any more that's fine with me I'll just go with Zune!

You aren't the only one...users here in Australia are having the exact same problem!
Have you tried contcting the support team via email? Maybe if a few more people do it, they will realise that it's not just me! LOL
I have told them to refer to this forum, so that they can see the amount of people having these same issues! Hopefully we will hear something soon

You don't have the typical symptoms that I associate the following issue with (normally the error kicks in just when folks visit the Store), but just in case try gn_id's suggestion from the following post:

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.
You could also try working through

Alternatively see the second entry in the Further Information section for tips on rolling back to a previous version of iTunes.

Go to your computer's System Tray and try ejecting. If you can't eject, there is an application that is trying to access your iPod.
Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx and download ProcessExplorer.
Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555665 and follow the instructions under Resolution.
Note that this is a good, general process any time you can't access any file.

I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

Hello. Have you tried using Safe Mode yet? For PC hold F8 on startup and select Safe Mode from Advanced Boot options screen. Also try reinstalling iTunes. Also open up the error console (wherever that might be; I'm a Mac person) and post the error that is causing it to quit. Hope it works!

Since updating iTunes, I can open iTunes, view my apps, music, movies, etc. But when I click on iTunes store I get an error message that iTunes has stopped working.
