    Hi bluegrandpanash,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you backed up your iPhone to iCloud before updating the software, first try the steps under "Restore from an iCloud backup" in this article to recover your data:

  • Today after a long time I tired to open photoshop CS5.1 on my mac, however it has vanished?

Today after a long time I tired to open photoshop CS5.1 on my mac, however it has vanished and I am unable to find it anywhere on my system. I have recently done an update to my system so am unsure if this has affected it in anyway but the only thing I am able to find in Adobe Utilities is an uninstall option? I have tried reopening old saved psd files but these only open up preview. The photoshop I owned was a student version so am unsure if this has something to do with it going away ? Is there a way to get it to come back at all with out having to buy it again?

Run the cleaner tool and reinstall.

    Hello s0ha1b
If all you get is the Apple logo and it powering off, then the next step is to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up, then you can put that on there to once the restore is complete.

    Hi folks,
I tried downloading the latest OS X Mountain Lion and [after a long time... I have a slow connection] I got an error message ... We could not complete your purchase The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.
Everytime I retry or continue the download I just keep getting the same error message!!!
What can I do to get my product?
    PM

The only thing that worked for me was to boot in safe mode.
Power down.  Then press power button and hold 'shift' key until grey screen with progress bar appears... Once booted and logged in just open safari and browse to applestore.
No trouble at all once I did this.
Reminder: create full backup before you upgrade OS
    Hope it helps.

my ipod touch 4th gen isnt work after a long time with 0 percent battery power. Then its not working. computer doesnt respond to my ipod .only black screen is appearing it even not wake up after reset it what can i do please help me

After being connected to a charging source overnight try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I dont'know if their is a hardware problem? can somebody help me?

After updating my Time Capsule, I received this message on my  Airport Express: This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station." How can I fix this?

Per chance is your AirPort Express an 802.11g model? If so, you will need to use AirPort Utility v5.6 to administer it. However, this version will not install under OS X Mountain Lion without a workaround.
The following is one of those workarounds:
Here are the basic steps to install version 5.6 under Mountain Lion using CharlesSoft's Pacifist:
If you haven't already download the AirPort Utility disk image file directly from Apple Support Download
Place the resultant AirPortUtility56.dmg file onto your Mac's Desktop.
    Run Pacifist.
Click on the Open Package option. Find the disk image file that you just placed on your desktop, and then, click on Open.
The utility is located as follows: Contents of AirPortUtility56.dmg > Contents of AirPortUtility56.pkg > Contents of AirPortUtility56Lion.pkg > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility 5.6.app
Drag AirPort Utility 5.6.app to your Mac's /Applications/Utilities folder.
You can now run the AirPort Utility from the Utilities folder.

  • HT1192 Caps Lock is not working in my mac, after pressing long time too.

Caps Lock is not working in my mac, after pressing long time too. Please help me to sort this problem out.

I think even in newer versions of OS X there is a slight delay; just not so pronounced. My advice to get around it would be to install PCKeyboardHack and KeyRemap4MacBook - then do a couple of things:
Change the Caps Lock key in System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys to "None"
Use PCKeyboardHack to remap Caps Lock to keycode 110, the PC Application Key, which is unused on Apple keyboards.
Then use KeyRemap4Macbook to map that particular keycode to Toggle Caps Lock.Try selecting For PC Users > Change PC Application Key > Application Key to CapsLock.
I'm pretty sure that should get rid of the delay, which only happens when Apple is in charge of connecting the Caps Lock key to its action.
Really, though, I would personally recommend doing some much more awesome things with your Caps Lock key; it's prime keyboard real estate, and who uses caps lock anyway, except in the darkest corners of the Internet? Personally, I've remapped Caps to be Escape (for use in my text editor) when you press it by itself quickly, but to be Cmd+Opt+Ctrl+Shift when you press it with any other key. I call it the "Hyper" key, and use it to switch applications; Hyp+S = Safari, Hyp+D = email, Hyp+F = Finder... The point is, be creative, make the Caps Lock key work for you.
Oh, and the real Escape key maps to Caps Lock, so I can use it if I want to.

  • Freeze after a long time

I have a peculiar problem with my iMac. When I turn on my iMac it will freeze at the blue screen or shortly after my desktop loads. However I've noticed that it will only do this when the computer is off for a long time. Usually when I turn it on in the morning. When I hold the power button for shutdown and then turn it back on it loads fine. I have noticed sometimes that the time is completely wrong as well.
So after doing some investigations I saw that I should reset the nvram and that it might be a battery problem. This actually makes sense to me because if it's been off for awhile then the a bad battery would be empty but it charges a bit when I turn it on. Then when I restart I have a working battery.
I also recently put bootcamp and windows xp on my computer.
I did a disk utility as well and did a scan and fixed any permissions and it still does this. So is the battery my problem or is it something more subtle?

From your description yes I would change the battery out as the time showing up wrong and the difficulty in starting up are examples of a bad battery. Thats not to say that some other issue may be behind the problem, but the battery is a good start.

  • I open firefox and after a long time the screen is blank and it says new tab on the top, no website will open

I have tried uninstalling & installing firefox and it still won't let me open any websites. I have used firefox for a long time and it has worked great. I did recently install Office 360, but firefox worked after it was installed. Any ideas?

Which version of Firefox are you using ?
Firefox has implemented a new, faster way of loading webpages in Version 33. This new feature is called [https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/GFX/OffMainThreadCompositing OMTC]. If you are experiencing black or blank webpages when you start Firefox or on some sites, you should update Firefox. Mozilla has released an updated version that fixes the problem.
If you are in Firefox and can see your menus, you can [[update Firefox to the latest version|update Firefox from the Help menu]]:
*Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''About Firefox''.
If you can't use the Firefox menus, you can go to [https://www.mozilla.org www.mozilla.org] using Internet Explorer or another browser to download and install the latest version.
See [[Firefox shows a black screen or blank screen after updating to 33]] for more information.
Please let us know if this solves the problem.
    Thank you!

  • My 3GS after updating iOS continuously keeps restarting until the battery dies.

    Hello guys,
After updating my 3GS, (I guess to iOS 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 I'm not sure, so the new iOS, two days ago) the phone continuously keeps restarting until the battery dies. I can't do anything with it because it is just restarting and restarting and restarting and... again and again and again....
Don't even try to tell me to do this or that... press this and that button for a couple of seconds, because the phone is just restarting. The Apple logo appears on the screen and sometimes the small circle as well for a couple second and then the Apple logo again, continuously again and again.  I got this itunes message when connecting the phone to the computer: "We're sorry, we are unable to connect with your activation at this time."  So again the phone does not respond to anything, just restarting and restarting untill the battery dies.
I went to the Apple store to ask the Apple genius team, but with no luck, unfortunately. He didn't know anything that would help. Now  I'm looking for an Apple genius outside the Apple store... So now you geniuses out there try to resolve this problem.
Please help if you're a genius!
    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the battery needs recalibrating but letting the phone die and then charging over night normally helps. Have you tried resetting the phone by holding the power and home button until it turns off and reboots? Try that, letting the phone run down till it turns off a few times and charge it over night. If not you may have to restore your phone via iTunes, make sure you have a current back up, or restore as new if that fails, add all your contacts etc back manually that might remove any corruption you could have. Note you will lose game data etc that way but its normally the best way to sort issues if all else fails.

  • After updating adobe flash and restarting firefox for mac, as requested, can't restore previous session

using macbook pro with os 10.7.5, was recommended to update adobe flash while in firefox (22.0). did so, which required closing and restarting firefox during flash update. when complete, firefox opened automatically to adobe flash window and restore previous session was grayed out. can't figure out how to find and restore the tabs i had been using. related questions and answers don't find a solution. my settings are all normal and do not appear to have any relation to the problem. rather, it seems to be the closing and reopening of firefox associated with the updating of flash that nuked any memory of my previous session. is there a solution?

i found my own solution to my problem! first of all, DON'T QUIT FIREFOX -- to be sure the current undesirable session doesn't become the "previous session". instead, open a new window (command-N). in my case, it opened to my usual default url and, while in that window (either before or after closing the first browser window that had opened automatically after updating adobe flash), the "restore previous session" option in history menu reappeared! clicked on it and, from then on, things just worked normally.
