After installing the laterest Adober reader upgrade, I can only get MS explorer to come up when I try to open fire fox. I can no longer open the fire fix start page.

PDF Previwer in Outlook 2010 after updating Adobe Reader X version

After updated Adobe reader X version Outlook 2010 PDF previewer is not working. How can solve this problem.

Firstly, please kindly check if the PDF Preview Handler function has been disabled.
1. Launch Outlook.exe, go to File > Option > Trust Center > Trust Center settings > Attachment Handling
1. Uncheck the box "Turn off Attachment Preview"
2. Click option "attachment and Document Previewers" and check the box "PDF Preview Handler"
Secondly, you may reinstall the Adobe PDF reader to see the result. Feel free to post back.

It just doesn't respond. I could click on an older PDF million times; nothing happens, but all the new PDFs created after the update open without any problems.

I uninstalled and reinstalled but at the end of installation there were erros. See attached screen shot. I now cannot open the application. error code 10810 comes up when I try to open.

Unfortunately previous advice of using CCS cleaner tool, and suggestions from links for 1) "exit code 6 and 7" and 2) "Troubleshoot instal logs" did not work at all. So I am desparate to fix this because I have spent a lot of money purchasing Photoshop CS6 but have no functioning program. Surely Adobe can help solve this problem with installing, or else it means a lot of money spent on Photoshop CS6 for nothing. I am appealing directly to Adobe to help because I have come to the end of my options. I thank the forum for their suggestions but so far the solution for this specific "Language Pack installation failure" problem is missing. Thank you.

Could you see whether Firefox will start in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Here's how:
With Firefox closed, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

After update, Adobe Reader isn't working properly.

I use quickbooks as my accounting sfotware. Everything was running smooth, untill I updated Adobe Reader. After the update, adobe is running fine. I can open files that were saved prior to the update. But now, everytime, I get quickbook to export a file, it stop responding and I have to force quit it to continue.
Would be great if you could help.

When I click 'print' to print an invoice from quickbooks online, a window pops open and usually there is a printer icon on the top left of the page and a preview of what I'm printing loads in the window. The day I posted my original message, however, the window pops up, there is no printer icon, and the preview does not load and I get the following message:
If you don't see a preview inside this window you need to get Adobe Reader, it's free!
1. important, if a file download window opened, close it.

3.Follow download instructions
4. cancel this window and click print again.

A program called "tudosearch" interferes with my Firefox - it always comes up when I try to open Firefox or if Firefox tries to call up another program. I can not find a way to get rid of it.

When I try to open Firefox, a window comes up saying that Firefox can not run Tudosearch. I then have to exit this window before I can go on. It also comes up when I try to go to another website while in

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have not own Nikon gear since film drifted away. I've read where using older versions of Nikon software to transfer photo files to your computer can "corrupt" them in a way that makes them "foreign" to Adobe products.
Memory serves that the solution is to update the Nikon software or transfer the files directly.
Nikon users may have much better adivice!

I upgraded my 2007 iMac (20") to Maverick. Should never have done this! Lost mail, lost my mail archive, lost numerous programs/applications, lost all my installed hardware, spend 4 days on getting it running again with the (supreme) help of Apple Care. However it should not have happened at all!
iMac Computers with less than 4Gb of internal memory (as explained by Apple Care), or less than (estimated) 150Gb of free disc-space should not upgrade! Simple as that and the App Store should warn you about that and not simply let you pick up your free copy of Maverick!

I get the activeX error in quicktime after updating adobe reader

My adobe reader program asked to be updated today so i went ahead and let it update. Now all my quicktime files won't open, giving me the error 46 message saying that it cant find the activeX controller. Quicktime works in my browser just not as a stand alone player.

I was initially trying to access pdf forms via Mozilla Firefox, but then I thought of trying it out on Internet Explorer. I then decided to shutdown go do some shopping and come back and try again.
I got back and started up my laptop, opened Internet Explorer updated internet options, captured website and viola I could access and see the pdf forms online. Managed to completed the forms and all is working fine now!!

Adobe Reader XI freezes my computer when I try to print

I cannot print any pdf files. I am running Windows 7 and when I open Adobe Reader XI and try to print a pdf, I get the print dialog box just fine but then when I click "Print," the dialog box comes up to show print progress and at that point everything freezes. I am printing to a wireless printer HP Deskjet 6980. I can't even get Ctl-Alt-delete to get me to Task Manager so I have to hold down the power button and I don't like having to shut down that way.

I have been having the same problem for weeks. I am using Windows 7, Mozilla 33.0.3, and Adobe Reader version XI.0.09. I saw some advice on another site that I relied on in resolving this. You need to open the Reader, to to Edit, click on Preferences. On the Left Hand menu, find "Security (Enhanced)" and open it. If "Enable Protected Mode at Start-up" is active, disable that. "Enhanced Security" is likely already enabled (and you want to leave that on); if not, enable it.
Under "Privileged Locations," make sure both options (Trust documents/Trust sites) are enabled. Then open the box entitled "View Windows Trusted Sites." This will take you to the browser's Security Tab. Click the green arrow "Trusted Sites" and then the "Sites" tab that appears. Add the relevant https://.***.com site from which you wish to be able to print *.pdfs. (Note: It is very important the you make sure to include the secure site, i.e., https..., and not the initial www.***.com site from which you may access the secure site). After you have added the secure address, click Add, then Close the window. Make sure then to Click "OK" to close the Security Tab, and then scroll down to the bottom of the "Security (Enhanced)" page to which you will be returned and click OK there. Close the Adobe Reader and any other Reader windows you may have open.
You can now go to the secure site whose address you just entered, and download the .pdf you want. (If you have already downloaded the .pdf on your computer from that site you can now just open it instead). Send the print command for the pages of the .pdf page you want. The system will hang for a few seconds (at least mine did), but then it prints.
You may be able to go directly to the Security Tab in your browser and enter the secure site in question without going through a pdf document and it will also work but I do not know that for sure.
Finally, I am not an expert; just another user who figured this out with a little help from others. An expert may wish to comment further on what I have written above to provide further guidance or instruction.

Later Note: It is possible to add a non-secure site from which you want to download and open .pdfs to the Trusted Site list. To do this, uncheck the "Require server verification (https://) for all sites in this zone" box that appears under the listed of Trusted Sites. As I am not an expert user I do not know if doing this represents a significant security issue but I at least do not find that is the case after running a cursory search online.
